Holidays in Playa del Ingles can be dramatically different, depending on when you travel. As Gran Canaria’s largest resort, Playa del Ingles is never quiet. However, during July and August, the resort attracts a huge number of 18 to 30s on package holiday deals, which makes it a loud and energetic time to visit, but throughout the rest of the year, holidays in Playa del Ingles are more sedate as the resort is populated by couples and families. With plenty of bars, nightclubs and restaurants, a fantastic beach, and all-year round good weather, holidays in Playa del Ingles will suit almost everybody.

The first thing people notice when they arrive at Playa del Ingles is its sheer size. Outside of Benidorm, no other beach resort in Europe is as large. The resort is also incredibly diverse, with people on package holidays in Playa del Ingles coming from all over Europe. The beach is the resort’s biggest attraction. While it can get quite crowded, the fine soft sand stretches westward for miles so it is never hard to find a spot to catch some rays. For families, it is worth noting that nudists often occupy the dunes at the back of the beach, so you may wish to avoid this area if you are easily offended. As with other resorts of this type, there is no shortage of activities on offer, including watersports, horse riding, golf, tennis and an amusement park.

There are plenty of clubs and bars, although nothing remarkable. Holidays in Playa del Ingles are becoming increasingly popular with gay couples, so many of the clubs and bars put on gay nights. You’ll also have no shortage of food options, with every conceivable type of restaurant around the resort. However, if you are after authentic Spanish food or fine dining, you may wish to eat at one of the upmarket hotels.
