Eo Suite Hotel Jardin Dorado

"I have just returned from this hotel...my third visit in 16 months. I find the hotel very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Yes there is no entertainment, and the all inclusive bar closes at 11pm...but this is clearly stated in the hotel information on the booking sites. My family and I will definitely go back...there is not much for children to do...so families would be better at another hotel catering for children. The beach and Maspalomas is approx. 30 min walk...or you can get the FREE BUS. Taxis to Maspalomas or Playa Del Ingles are never more than 5 Euros - even in the early hours. There is plenty going on in the towns if you are bored in the hotel. Just because you book All Inclusive...doesn't mean you can't leave the hotel. I have stayed in big hotels in the area several times...but this is much more personal."

"Arrived september 30th 2012 and sadly left 14days later when our holiday ended' I say sadly because I could of stayed there another 2 weeks. Bungalows are lovely and in a good location, food wise it's one of the best I've been too ( inc Gloria palace and riu princess all 5*) second time we have stayed here and trying to get back for Xmas and new year.all places have some bad points the jardine does suffer from uncomfortable plastic chairs around the pool and some of the staff need lessons on manners but hey ho you get there in the end, just be firm with them, most staff are brilliant.its quiet, you get no hassle(unless you get talking too one of them who would be unhappy no matter where they stayed) the beer is cold and the vodka is bang on! And if you haven't had enough to drink by 11pm there's 2 things you can do, pay from 11pm till 12am or pre plan and fill your fridge up in your bungalow.not rocket science is it! Happy holidays.

ROBBED - THIS IS NO WAY A 4* BUT A 2* BUNGALOW APARTMENTS - NOT A HOTEL!!
"This is a no 4 star hotel but a grade of a 2 star for their bungalows & pool... if you like Caravan parks, though these are bungalows. When you arrive it looks impressive but once you find your way around this place it has nothing to offer apart that the rooms are clean and acceptable. Firstly it is not a hotel but a ground with bungalows with the main building only catering for your meals. There is nowhere to sit but outside by the pool bar and even then you cannot use money as this hotel resort as they call it does not have any... so looking for change or to use the paid facilities like playing pool or internet you have to have your own change. They do not accept money at the bar but everything is put on tab like the drinks you order... for instance when checking out you cannot buy refreshment nor a drink if checking out at mid-day when you may have time before a taxi or bus arrives to take you to airport which could be a couple of hours like ours... forget trying to get anything a mentioned they donât take touch money. When I had no change I asked for the 1 euro to use the internet again no money, then I asked for this to go against my room ⦠no they did not do this no money on premises! Re your meals if you arrive at 5 mins to 9 pm to which when your meals are laid out... you are told to eat by the restaurant manager that you only have 5 mins as they were closing (yet the meals are served to 9 pm so surely they must give you time to eat) and when going for your buffet meal in the evening the food is cold most nights due to that they switch the containers off... I know I am going on but this must be told! when finishing your meal even in 5 mins they shut the main building off to everyone (apart from reception) and you are left only to sit by the pool if you wish any drink. No bar only pool bar and some tables around to sit onâ¦..Oh and the bar shuts at 11 pm. Re the Gym well it was the size of any hand-made garage to fit one standard car in - like a wooden shed you would get out of B & Q with a few machines in this (unattended) and half broken... Sauna was enough to get 2 people in maybe 3. What did most people do in the evening right after dinner... they went to their beds and even then the rooms were freezing that people put their cooker rings on and extra clothes (who had one, we did not) so they could be warm in their rooms. Bathroom no pugs but if you ran a bath once you did get a plug ...small to barely touch the knee your water turned cold as they donât have the tanks to hold hot water, so I suggest share a bath if you plan to stay there. They advertise they also have TV⦠well in German or Spanish... 14 channels, only one for Brits good old Sky News!!... Overall the staff were terrible they did not once say good morning when you walked into the restaurant, nor at any meal time... nor at the bar. At meal times they just wanted you out of the restaurant so they could get the morning tables ready for breakfast while you were eating. After complaining on my 5th night out of 7 we were staying and yes we saw the manager who ran the place and he said he would improve things after listening to us, but they never did...understood everything he said and we would receive a bottle of Champagne as compliment for our help in overlooking these things for him, to which we told him it was not what we wanted but for him to improve so people who do come can have their well saved up holiday money applied to what they were looking for in a break or for those people who save to stay in a 4* which was not are disappointed like us to see what you offer. We did speak to others staying who said it was a joke and a big disappointment and that the faculties should be met to what they state in the holiday broacherâsâ¦. Well we did tried and no champagne ever did arrived.
Good place if you are retired and you want to go abroad for a month and keep away from British winter weather... no sound around hotel after 10 pm and you can get some hot meals and a good nightâs sleep it is very quiet. Families defiantly not! All they have is a swing and a slid-shoot and the few children around I saw looked bored after 30 minsâ¦. Young romantics as well as singles forget this place, again only a pool table with no white ball and offered something else to use which was not the white ball to cue with and bar shuts at 11pm and same track tape all through the holiday ...... and they put this down as a 4 star!!!! nope nothing but an update but nice bungalows that remind you of a caravan site if you like this type of holiday but for people who are looking for fun... NOT FOR YOU! Oh! and the beach is 500 yards away if you can get over the fence and don't get caught sneaking over the golf course... it is in fact a 2.5 miles/ 3 miles walk or 4 Euro's by taxi, don't get me wrong I am 57 years myself but one is as young as one feels and certainly this place is boring and would defiantly put years on me if I had stayed any longer⦠if they called this a holiday hotel resort of a star rating of 4 when you pay hard earned cash for this when one may save up for a year in some cases for a once in life time holiday break⦠check your hotel out before putting your hard cash down is the answer, check out Trip Advisers before booking and others as I have now found out too late.
Good luck if you do go here but I've warned you what to expect!!!!.

"On arrival we were greeted by helpful staff who even showed us into our appartment and welcomed us. Overall the reception staff were very good, helpful, knowledgable and happy to deal with us.
The bar staff were not so friendly and got an order wrong through rushing even though it was ordered in spanish and english.
The facilities were exceptional although a couple of pictures would have brightened the appartment up somewhat and it seemed strange that the mirror was hot until we realised behind it was a window which faced the sun outside!!Also the swimming pool is fantastic.
It was a totally clean appartment where the maid visited and thoroughly cleaned every day.
There are ammenaties not too far away although it took us a couple of days to find the short cuts and find our way around. The beach is a lovely one there are plenty of places to visit , the market, the shopping centres, the zoos, one of which i recommend the cocodrillo zoo which is an independantly run home for a wide variety of animals.
We are hoping to visit sometime next year and will stay at the same resort, no question!"

Jardin del dorado not great!
"We stayed at Jardin del Dorado in December and we have been generally disppointed with the hotel. The location is not great, you will need a car to get around. the rooms are basic and clean but are a bit old looking. The food is average but nothing special and the animation is just dead!!! There is nothing around to go out to without a car. I have got to mention though, to be fair, that Paco the singer of the hotel saved our night on christmas with his great spanish carols feliz navidad!! The beach in playa ingles is not great but we drove to puerto mogan almost every day (20 mn) which is amazing and to anfi del mar (its an hotel but you can access the beach wich is just amazing, palms and white sandy beach)."

Very Quiet - very clean
"My husband and I have just returned and the place is very much as previous reviews. Very clean, maid service (mopping, bins etc) daily excpt Sundays, including clean towels every other day. Excellent pool and surrounding area/gardens - very well kept and the kids pool and smaller swimming pool are heated - so be careful to choose the right one :0 The large pool can be chilly.
The place is very quiet with only the noise of the birds twittering - the pool side bar stops any music being played approx 23.00hrs for guests wishing to sleep - the resident singer is also excellent.
There were very few children, most guests being older and respectful of everyones privacy - mainly German and Dutch.
The night receptionist who welcomed us, well after midnight on arrival was great, polite and organised, and obviously wanting to improve his spoken English he was friendly and chatty.
The bungalow was a little dated but everything worked, full bathroom with shower; plenty hot water; don't bother paying the extra for the TV - there were no English speaking channels and you always have the radio; small rear yard for drying towels and sitting in to catch the last of the sun; patio area to the front with table and chairs.
Round and about; give Mogan a miss - def visit Puerto Mogan though its lovely;Playa Del Ingles - like Blackpool.
For Tapas try Bandera in CC Boulevard Oasis - in front of the Grand Casino;Tex Mex opposite the bungalows is also good value for money with great service - try out your conversational German on the waiter - mit Vergnügen!
Give Faro II a miss - the place is full of restaurants but you can find much better ones in Maspalomas (its worth the walk or taxi ride - honest!). We tried a steak house on the first floor - but left as the service was so slow; tried another steak house (I was really looking forward to a nice steak) on the ground floor, should have realised something was not right as they were packing folks in, waited for our meal, my steak was sent back as was not cooked as requested - felt like we had to eat in haste and move on to make room for other diners. The pizzas at Piz Paz are ok.
If you just want a relaxing holiday - reading a book and dipping in and out of the pool - this could be the place for you."

We booked this holiday ourselves and had...
"We booked this holiday ourselves and had a fantastic time. The weather was fantastic. The bungalow was clean, well fitted and perfect in every way.
This is a very quiet place as hardly any British people are aware of it but we would highly recommend this place if you want somewhere peaceful and relaxing.
There is no entertainment which is no good for some people but suited us just fine. You can walk to the Faro 2 shopping centre. The food was great, the staff friendly and very helpful - we could not have asked for a better holiday.
Although this place is favoured by the locals and the Germans we would recommend people to go if you like peace and quiet. It is within easy access of all areas and is very quiet - no loud pubs or clubs but a short taxi journey into Playa del Ingles or the Chaparral or Yumbo centre, all costing 3 euros for us. We could not have asked for a better holiday.
Give this place a go.
Well worth it!

Very quiet and relaxing, good value for money
"This is the second time we have stayed here and it is a perfect, good value location if what you want is a nice pool and quiet accomodation. You can walk to the beach (although it is around 40 mins) or get a cab to Playa de Ingles for about £3.00.
The bungalows are pretty and set in nice grounds but they are a little shabby, so if you like your doors to shut and a well provided kitchen, this may not be the place for you, but if you want a cheap stay in a nice, quiet, pretty location, then it's well worth a visit.
We didn't rate the food, but there are good places to eat nearby (particularly in Maspalomas on the beach) and also Faro 2 shopping centre is near so knocking up the odd meal yourself is easy."

5th - 12th Feb 2007 We booked a bungalo...
"5th - 12th Feb 2007
We booked a bungalow for a week here directly having got some cheap flights with XL airways from Bristol. We are 2 adults, a 3 year old and a 4 month old baby.
Had a superb sunny week, air temp about 21 C with clear sunny sky, for about 95% of the time. Excellent holiday at great price. Nice sun tan. A bit like south France in June.
Jardin Dorado, is set in the Campo de Golf. It consists of about 120 semi-detached one bedroom bungalows set in 3 concentric circles around the core restaurant and pool area. According to a local taxi driver itâs about 20 years old. Itâs a very secure complex, with only one main entrance and no cars or dogs on-site.
Itâs about 2kms into Maspalomas beach which is a long walk especially given the number of high curbs to navigate. However its 3.5 euros in a taxi and taxis are abundant.
The bungalows are basic but clean and well kept. Cleaned 5 days a week with fresh towels. The complex is very neatly landscaped and kept in excellent condition. Bungalows are showing signs of wear but nothing too bad.
The pool area is great and you could happily spend days by the pool. The main pool is unheated but was nice if a bit invigorating. To the side is a smaller heated pool for adults (1.5m) and a kidâs heated pool (0.5m).
This place is not on the books of any UK holiday operators and so we were only one of 2 lots of brits. Itâs mostly German and some Dutch. But we prefer this.
The bungalow was pretty small and basic and itâs surprising that they didn't build some 2 bed bungalows.
This style of semi-detached one bed bungalows is quite common around the area - we only saw one other place with 2 bed bungalows. But none-the-less we coped ok. 3 year old on the sofa bed, baby in a travel cot (provided free) and us in the twin beds in the bedroom.
We took the option of having breakfast, which is served buffet style in the restaurant from 8am to 10am. Reasonable choice with hot and cold options, fruit, croissants etc. But a lot of residents, simply bought stuff in the on-site shop which was well stocked and ate on their own terrace.
Wouldn't bother with the dinner, which we had one night and was very average. You can get a taxi to the beach or other restaurants for a nice meal.
The pool side bar offers a range of reasonably priced salads, pizzas, pastas burgers etc for lunch if you're staying by the pool for the day.
Maspalomas itself is a bit confused. There's no real town centre. The main life seems to be on the sea-front strip, which has nice shops and restaurants but these are pricey because they were built primarily to serve the three or four, huge resort hotels which occupy the sea front."

Relaxing and ideal for mature couple
"Hi I went there for X-mas 2005 for a week with my bf
In general i had a good time there but there were a few downfalls as wel..I'd briefly review the bungalow.. Sorry about my english..
1. the bungalow
it's very pretty and quiet. one big swimming pool is kept clean and nice..
we relaxed all day for a few days.. but it's not ideal for family with young kids..it could be boring because there's not much to do other than chilling out by the pool..
they are not that friendly and don't speak good english.. because most of the tourists there are germans..One thing I'm very surprised with is that they don't clean the room two days a week!! we couldn't get fresh and dry towel one day.. :-(
there're plenty of taxis and it's cheap.but for bus you have to walk about 20 minutes for the bus stop... it's quite isolated from other places and not much going on around.. but if you intend to play golf at the golf field next door, this is the perfect location.. To Maspalomas beach, it takes about 20~30 minutes on foot.. Supermarket is about 15 minutes away from the bungalow.
In general i think it was good value and nice place to relax but I only recommend to mature couple who want to relax.. it's not very vibrant or fun for young couple or children.. actually there're many retired people staying there for long-term..."
