"On arrival the woman on the front desk was rude and unwelcoming. Our passports taken away and not returned .... told she would bring back next day but she didn't so we went to get our passports to be faced with same woman same rudeness we met when we arrived . On going to our apartment it's more than basic ..... we booked double room we got single cots we had to rearrange the room to push them together no place to charge phones and where there were plug sockets they don't take the adapters just Spanish plugs ..... NOT helpful....... think we only found 3 sockets one in bathroom one in lounge one in bedroom ..... extortionate rental on kettle ..... hairdryer .... fan .... etc 12 euros plus 6 euro deposit making 18 euro for anything to enable comfortable stay ..... stairs are a big hazard apartments are not clean beds are like sleeping on the floor and the one pillow we were provided were like sacks of rocks!!! On site Restaurant pricy and food extremely mediocre ... we had to ask for clean towels 4 days in on our stay and told the maid had finished at 2.30 and we wouldn't get clean towels till next day!!! Everything is worn and shabby basic linen on the bed one sheet and the bed spread that's it ...... bedroom faced the dual carriage way so a lot of road noise to contend with ...... no one collecting the rubbish even though I tied bags up and put outside for them to collect ...... when maid did come in on the ONE morning the kitchen sink wasn't cleaned nor the bathroom sink tooth paste still in the bowl ...... and we even had to go buy our own toilet paper!!! We come to GC 4 times a year and have some wonderful self catering holidays this has to be the worst place we have come across in the last 4 years we have been coming and we will never book to come here again ..... we worked flat out to come October 2018 for this holiday it was expensive for a mediocre experience ..... very disappointed ...... we still have 2 days left here but had we have the money to change location when we arrived we would of done !! I'd struggle to find anything good about Capri bungalows in maspalomas"

"We have just got back from the Capri Bungalows, yes they are basic accomodation but they are only one star and had everything that we needed. The restaurant is excellent the food quality very high better than many individual establishments and very reasonable prices, don't be afraid to ask for something that isn't on the menu they are very helpful. The staff are fantastic and great fun and we only wish that the restaurant was just round the corner from us at home!"

You get what you pay for - definately pay more and go elsewhere!!!
"We stayed at these apartments in November 2011 - the weather was fantastic (thank goodness) so we didn't have to spend much time there. Upon arrival, we went straight to a local bar(at the tissalaya) to get over the shock of the grotty apartment (custard walls, bottle green bedding, peach curtains, sticky pine furniture, avocado bathroom suite, broken wardrobe)! There are no appliances - you have to hire kettle, safe, hairdryer - all of which was quite expensive. The only thing you are given is a large can of insecticide! Which we had to put to use when we found a cockroach. The complex is limited; there is a swimming pool, a bar/restaurant (which was being refurbished so can't comment) and a small supermarket - the price of food has increased in the canaries! There are almost no restaurants locally and for vegetarians there is virtually nothing other than omelettes to eat!! The tisalaya apartments are almost next door a friendly service is offered by the gents that run the restaurant. There is a free bus from the capri apartments (not particularly regularly) to the beach or you can walk the hour (fast pace) there following a storm drain all the way there. Past some camels and then a nature reserve before finding some restaurants before the beach. We were warned of of the african women who greet you near the beach - they reportedly try to hold your hand and encourage you to give money! The beach is beautiful - white sands and long and an interesting walk through a gay and then nudist beach to get to the sand dunes. There are some lovely hotel bars/restaurants near the beach for those who clearly spend a little more than the capri apartments!! Maspalomas caters more for dutch/german tourists rather than the english. I know you get what you pay for, but without the good weather we would have had to pay twice to get out of the capri to something a little more inviting. It also appeared to attract a number of not so welcomed neighbours - drunk and loud (which did involve the local constabulary on one evening!) I would avoid these apartments and find something closer to maspalomas beach or just go somewhere else!. "

good place to stay
"We stayed at the Capri from the 13- 21 june 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed it, yes the bungalows are basic and they are a bit of a way from the beach but taxis are plentiful and cheap and the food is cheap also so no problem for us the bungalow was clean and looked like it had been freshly painted and the swimming pool was also clean. the maid came every other day to change bedding and towels n tidy round. there is no kettle in there but they can be hired although probly cheaper to take one with you . all in all a grat holiday and i would definately go there again. basic yes , unclean no !! shuttle bus to beach was very reliable"

"we are stying in the capri bungalows ,the setting is beautiful, but the location is too far out u have to get taxis everywhere or the bus this can be tiresome.the bungalows need a dam good tidy up ,they are in need of minor repairs and ae not that clean, its such a shame because the complex itself is so pretty, the pool area is lovely ,we have sayed hare quite a few times now ,but will not stay again ,if they cant be bitherd to do basic maintanance on there premesis then we cba stayin here.on the plus side it is cheap, but cheap shouldnt mean that the place is delaptated it should mean BASIC which i dont mind basic as long as its clean and looked after.the staff are helpful and nice its such a shame this place just needs some TLC."

Very good value for money
"Just back from a week in the Capri complex. After reading quite a few bad reviews and feeling a bit apprehensive we were very pleasantly surprised to find our apartment clean, with fresh towels and bed linen. Not one sign of a cock roach and we only saw two cats and two kittens. We had plenty of hot water, a large fridge with ice box and our faulty 2 ring hob was fixed within an hour! All the staff were very polite and helpful and the 'grumpy' older man returned our greetings of "ola" with a smile! The pool and surrounding area was very clean. All in all a good place to use as a base to visit other parts of the island."

Room for improvement at Capri
"Visit 1: APR 2009 and the bungalow was regulary cleaned every other day, with clean sheets & towels, friendly staff. Visit 2: Aug 2010, was a totally different story, though still excellent bungalow staff & yeah the night porter, needs to develop a better bedside manner & a big improvement on his overall appearance, in every sense... bungalow next to noisy A4 type road, dirty walls, distressed decorations & not in the cool sense, ants, dirty floors, smelly bathroom, smelly pillows, stains on walls, beds, head boards, pillows...cleaner...must have been on holiday too, when the cleaner finally got in, she didn't mop the floors, but seemed to simply polish around our bits & pieces. I cleaned the bathroom with bleach, myself, due to an un-savoury smell. Spoke to the staff & they did offer to move us to the pool area, which seemed a much better bungalow & they changed our pillows & bedding. In short, be specific when when you arrive, i.e, bungalow away from the busy road & maybe away from noisy families. If you have young children and don't mind other young children screaming in the middle of the night 1am, 2am,then go for Capri...as it caters for the family market. Capri has great potential, but needs management to offer some TLC and the beach was a good 50 min walk away...but taxis were only 3.65 euros but if your on a budget go for Capri."

cheap cheerful and friendly
"Just returned from the capri apartments with my daughter and 2 small grandaughters.Found it on internet for a cheap break, was a bit worried about some of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised.Yes it's basic but it did the job, after all you only sleep there, staff were very friendly and helpful. Food served at on site restaurant was good and the on site shop is very well stocked, what we liked also is was a mix of nationlities. We would go back as good value for money."

Sun on our backs.
"Having read some reviews prior to our "last minute winter break", I was more than a little apprehensive about the "Capri"- well I should not have been, - provided you have read the label it is exactly what it says on the tin. The staff we found to be extreamly friendly from reception to room cleaners, and all went the extra mile to be obliging.(to us anyway) "The Capri Supermarket" is well stocked to UK requirements and priced fairly, so no need to wander around looking for cheaper, because there aint any, and plus you don't have to lug carrier bags back from around town. The morning bread is to die for so much so that other complex residents make a beeline for the Capri each morning. The father and two daughters who run the supermarket are all friendly and helpful and we found it a pleasure to shop there though a little tight for space at the entrance but downstairs was cool and light. The Jewel in the Crown for us was the "Capri Resturant/Cafe" what a little gem this is, run by a father and daughter who make it thier mission in life to ensure that the customer leaves well satisfied by thier fare and service, (and we were). The meals and take outs are all produced on site to a excellent standard with cleanliness paramount (Watch them when a guest has left the dining room, the table linen is quickly removed and re laid for the next diner with out fail ----- loved it. "After reading some of the reviews we where a bit apprehensive about the Capri. However we arrived to a really clean apartment and pool. The only fault we could give is that for most of the amenities it said was included like the t.v,fans, safes ect where at an extra charge, But not really a problem as you would probably expect them to be. the staff where extremely helpful and tried their best to speak in English rather than Spanish. The apartments are in walking distance of shops, restaurants, bowling alley. And the bus stop was only a 5minuite walk away. The apartments are fantastic value for money and the cleaner was excellent we really had nothing bad to say about the apartments at all. However if you are scared of cats its probably not the best place as they seemed to be lots of strays outside in the garden area meaning the doors and windows had to be shut or they just walked in. Also younger couples might prefer playas des ingles as the night life was a bit quiet especially out of season. overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. "
