Perfect for everyone....
"My Girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel from the 5th February till the 12th February. We went with mixed feelings, after reading previous reports.
If you are going to the Hotel in the future, please don't be put off from previous remarks. Everyone has mixed feelings regarding an opinion on something "glass half empty or half full" and all that. I can let you know what our experience was like and hopefully will give you an insight on what too expect.
We found a last minute deal through Cosmos and paid very little for a week away half board. With this in mind, we were not expecting anything amazing but wanted a few things: Clean place, good food and a relaxing holiday. What we got, passed that....and then by some way.
Each apartment is a like a small bungalow, joined to a block of three others. You get a small lounge, patio (with table, chairs and sun loungers), kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. We found it easily enough for two people although I would say if we had gone Self Catering, it would have been a bit of a squash in the Kitchen (as small). The cleaners come round with fresh towels and cleaning through the week. We found them really friendly and really hard workers (as all the people within the hotel are).
Three pools available. One children's and two other pools. We spent many hours relaxing around them and always found Sun Loungers whatever time of the day.
There is also a Pool Bar, which does both drinks and food.
Breakfast - lots to choose from. Hot food (eggs, sausage, beans, etc), bread, cereals and fruit. Really nice and always had a big helping!!
Dinner - Buffet food and changed most days. Rotated through Pasta, Pizza, Meats, etc. Always really nice and never wanted to go out at all. Desert was always nice too, with Ice Creams and different Cakes to choose from.
To walk to the Beach (there is a free bus that goes twice a day) is about 30 min walk. This is also a nice walk to do in the evening after dinner, that takes you to the bars and shops.
All I would say, is from our experience we had a lovely time. Weather was slightly different to the UK, instead of Snow we got sun of around 24'C each day with little cloud!! BRILLIANT!! Also the people and hotel are really nice. We travelled around on Bus to different places too. Playa da Morgan is a lovely little Village to go to, also Palmitos Park is well worth a visit. So many animals and plants to see. Kids will really love it.
Go with an open mind to this place - and I am sure you will have a great time!!"

enjoyed so returning
"Went for hubby's 40th birthday . First impression of Club Maspalomas on arrival, was wow! its clean, quiet and not too busy. For the two of us the bungalow had plenty of room, the maid service was excellent, even returned from one day out to discover a small arrangement of flowers of the coffee table! I would recommend, and have, Club as a great base for a holiday. The staff were friendly and spoke English, which was great. Dali in the Faro 2 centre is worth a visit too for a nice meal. A safari trip is a must, it was such fun.All in all we enjoyed our stay so much that we are returning in a couple of weeks staying at Club Maspalomas."

"Although the apartments are basic, they are very clean and definitely serve their purpose. Most apartments have a double bed and a single. Bathroom has bath with shower, kitchen has coffee maker, sandwich toastie maker and kettle. There is a TV which is coin operated.
Outside there is a private patio area with table, three chairs and 2 sun loungers. This gives you the chance to sunbath by your apartment if you prefer peace and quiet.
There is a hexagon pool which was quite pleasant to swim in (not too cold), but also there's a smaller pool for the little ones. The adjoining apartments also have a pool, and you can use any facilities in either hotel.
The mini market in the hotel reception is very basic. You will get water and milk here, but there's not much more scope for shopping. Within 10 minutes walk is the Faro II shopping centre. You will find a link to this centre on the internet. This area has a few supermarkets and plenty of great restaurants. Food and service were good!! There's also a crazy golf worth a visit.
The hotel does have its own restaurant. You can have breakfast for just less than 5 euors and tea for about 7 euros. These are buffet style menus with plenty of choice for German or English food. There was plenty to choose from and the food was good.
The Hotel reception does also sell beach towels, sun cream (expensive) and postcards. Although the rooms don't have aircon, you can rent a fan from reception for about 20 euros per week. Checking out isn't until noon, which is helpful.
Each apartment also has an electronic safe which was very useful.
This place was very nice, and I'd definitely stay here again. It's ideal for a couple or a family. Maspalomas Light House is about 15 minutes walk. Playa Del Ingles is 10 mins in a taxi (about £3.50)
The tour of the island through Last Minute is definitely worth a go. The views from the mountains are awesome. Brochure was available from reception area.

Ok for 1 week
"My husband and I have just returned from 1 week all inclusive at the Maspalomas oasis club bungalows.
Location - Seems like miles from anywhere. Its a good 35 min walk to the beach along a busy road. Its another 35 min walk in the other direction to your nearest shop/restaurant.
The taxis are cheap 5 euros for the 10 min trip into Playa del ingles but you don't want to be back and forth in a taxi a couple of times a day.
Bungalows - Really really need a refurbishment. Our shower leaked down into our sitting room below which was causing damp on the celing and a wet slippery floor. The doors to the cupboards in the kitchen were hanging off. The stench of damp in the bedroom was almost overpowering. There is no air conditioning. You have to book a fan 1 day in advance and this is chargable. The T.V is coin operated 1 Euro an hour. You are not able to hold onto your room even for a fee if you have a late flight and there is no other room available for you to use.
All inclusive - This hotel is almost completely geared for the German market which I always find means that the quality of the food in all inclusive is better even if it not always to my taste. There was a good range of food and never ran out. If you are arriving outwith restaurant hours even 5 min it is advisable to book in advance as they are very quick to close the restaurant and the bar.
Staff - Spoke very little English but were all fluent in German which did leave you feeling completely alienated. They would never say hello or smile incase you spoke to them. There were about 20 or so Brits at the complex who were almost always found together shareing information because the staff offered none!
The Hotel itself, the unfriendly staff, the destination with lack of amenities were all only bearable because we were only there for a week. I had a good holiday despite the location not because of it. I would not go back!"

Not that great.
"We stayed here over the new year period. The apartments are very small with thin walls so you can hear everything going on next door. There is only enough hot water for one person to shower. Then you have to wait an hour for it to warm up again.(the staff told us this after we complained)
The complex is nice with lovely flowers and a nice pool area. The maid service fantastic and the staff friendly enough. We didn't like the look of the buffet dinner so didn't try it.
You need a car even though there is a free bus to the beach. It is a really windy beach,so you're better off exploring the island for better beaches and towns. Mogan is lovely.
The weather was wonderful during the day, then cold at night."

"Stayed from 27th December to 3rd January. The complex is a good 30 mins walk from anywhere, either Maspalomas or Playa de Ingles. There is two buses in the morning down to Maspalomas and two back in the afternoon. If the weather is good the walk into the centre is pleasant enough but if you have kids or are not so mobile there are plenty of taxi's around which cost less than â¬5 including a generous tip. The chalets are pretty small and dismal, but reasonably clean with basic cooking facilities and a fridge. The main problem during the winter months is the lack of any heating, although the hob did help! The complex does have a nice pool area with small bar and a Buffet Style "Restaurant"."

Hated this place
"We arrived late at night and could tell straight away that this was a nightmare, the rooms are very small. We were so upset that we moved the very next day as day light did not make it look any better, the place is just stuck in the middle of no where, very isolated, no local bars (about a 20min walk) the beach which is very nice was an hours walk away. (no chance of a room with a view)"

Holiday from Hell!!!!
"In all fairness found most of the staff very accomodating.Beautiful place, plenty of activities,, Cheap holiday dont think so... Been in Maspalaomas last 4yrs stayed somewhere different every time, this being the most expensive. Got robbed of all our money on 2nd night there, out of the safe I might add, which we have never had before!!!!! Owner very nice and understanding but did not get money back or any help. Spanish police after numerous fon calls still wouldn't give a ref number, definetly wont be back, much as we love the place, and have made quite a few friends there over last few years. I ended up in hospital after tripping over a small wall at front of building ended up black and blue, someone from bungalows told police my husband had beat me, resulting in his arrest ahhh, holiday from hell doesnt even come close, even tho it is a beautiful place, defo not worth the hassle!!!!! Yet again a great time!!
"Second year running and have to say the family loved it.
You get what you pay for and as a two star location the accommodation is basic but acceptable. The people are busy but are very accommodating and the big thing is it's SPAIN so try the language - They are more helpful to people who try to fit in with their culture!!! Don't expect Brighton / Bournmouth / Bridlington - It isn't those places!!
Had a couple of teething issues this year but Fabio the maintenance guy was quickly on the job and sorted them without a fuss.
The cleaning team are effective and efficient - AND we've left money jewellery and phones on display both years and never lost a cent!!
Met loads of interesting people from a variety of countries and managed to communicate and understand each other in pigeon English, flimsy French, garbled German and I speak very little of any of these - Including the English as we're from Yorkshire!!
Food is amazing but it isn't burger and chips - Try the food that's why you go to a foreign country!!!
ALL IN ALL - A GRETA PLACE FOR THE FAMILY, GOOD ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE KIDS THROUGHOUT THE DAY, DRINKS THAT ARE READILY AVAILABLE AND COMPANY TO ENJOY. WEATHER'S NOT THAT BAD EITHER!!!!!"
