Who would work or buy there?
"This is a good reason for people to avoid working in the Timeshare Industry and the public to avoid the companies who bypass the Laws on a daily basis. I have registered as ex Anfi (35351) C.D.N. so as not to leave any ambiguity as to who is making these posts. 35351 was my employee number at Anfi and C.D.N. are my initials. There have been many other Court cases since this original ruling and is now JURISPRUDENCE in Spain. There is a news article on a Court ruling in Spain which can be found in the âCanary Newsâ (headed âGround-breakingâ Supreme Court ruling on Timeshare in Spain. Dated 16th March 2015), and there have been many other Court cases since this original ruling which is now JURISPRUDENCE in Spain. There are 2 websites which have many good references and if you search their NEWS items, you will find some interesting information and guides. For those not fluent in English, I would suggest you use Google Translate. The 2 websites are, Timeshare Consumer Association and TESS, Timeshare. Due to another posting elsewhere on another Timeshare forum titled âOwner of Anfi Company jumping sinking shipâ which can be found in âeldiario.esâ (headed âSantana Cazorla se refugia en Marruecosâ âSantana Cazorla takes refuge in Moroccoâ. Dated 17th August 2016). I added a comment to that forum which read âThe Captain may be jumping ship, but the same crew will continue with their wavesâ. I was employed at Anfi Del Mar from Monday 28th July 2014 until Monday 7th September 2015, when I was UNFAIRLY DISMISSED. I will be posting factual events and will be able to provide both evidence and witnesses to any Court, should Anfi Del Mar decide to seek legal recourse. Although emails may not admissible as evidence in Spanish Courts, they are automatically timed and dated. I can type a statement at any time using the emails as contemporaneous notes. During my time at Anfi, I was aware that an outside UK Agency had been employed by Anfi to monitor the internet for detrimental postings and comments. I am making postings on a number of websites, including the languages: Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian. In 1997 I discovered I was the victim of an ID Fraud which had begun in 1995. In August 2015, I saw my personal details were on display for other employees and occasionally members of the public to see. Having brought this issue to a supervisorâs attention, I received the proverbial Foxtrot Oscar. On Thursday 3rd September 2015 I sent an email to the Sales Director with a CC copy to the Human Resources (HR) Department, pointing out a breach of the Data Protection Act (LEY Organica 15/1999, de 13 de Diciembre, de Proteccion de de Datos de Caracter Person) and a breach of the Human Rights Act (LEY de La Comision Nacional de Los Derechos Humanos Denominacion de la Lay reformada DOF 26-11-2001). On Monday 7th September 2015, I was dismissed for âupsettingâ the Anfi Del Mar IT department. A document dated 7th September 2015, signed by the HR Director and signed by myself on 22nd September 2015 and I quote; âWith the signature of the present agreement, the employee entirely accepts all what is stipulated in it, including the indemnification payment for the dismissal admitted as unfair by the Company that is above detailed. Therefore, the employee declares to have been paid all what is due to him, and with the receipt of the said indemnification because of unfair dismissal received by the employee as stated in the present document, the labour relationship between the parties is solved, having no right by any means to lay further claim. As well, he compromises to desist from any legal action put before the signature of the present agreement, as well as not to put any further claim laterâ Unquote. The âno further claimsâ ONLY relates to my dismissal being unfair. There was or is not, any other agreement in force. As from today, I will be posting on this and many other websites, various topics some of which are listed below. I will be going into more detail on each individual topic. Due to the amount of postings I will be making weekly, I will be unable to discuss the issues mentioned until all my postings are completed. I will then be happy to discuss any matters relating to the same. I will be pointing out a number of Laws Anfi Del Mar breached or allowed their Employees to breach besides those posted here, including for example; A) Abuse of Authority by the British Cold Line Sales Manager. The current Employment Act in Spain is Real Decreto Legislativo 3/2015, de 23 de octubre, which came into force on 13th November 2015. However, the Employment Law in Spain covering my time at Anfi was Law 56/2003 of 16 December, which was valid until 13th November 2015. B) How Anfi Del Mar are circumventing the current Timeshare laws, namely; Spanish Timeshare Act Ley 42/1998 which came into force on the 5th January 1999, the European Union Directive 122 of 2008 which came into force on 16th March 2012. C) A major Holiday Company/Tour Operator are also circumventing the Spanish Timeshare Act and EU Directive when providing Anfi (and other RDO/TATOC companies) with clients for presentations. D) Threats of violence. E) Breaches of the Health & Safety regulations, Spain. Number 155 ILO Convention on the Safety and Health of workers, June 22 1981, ratified by Spain on July 26 1985. Royal Decree 486/1997 of 14 April establishes the minimum requirements for Safety and Health at the workplace. F) A full explanation of âThe Anfi Way There will be other topics brought to this forum. If this posting is removed, there are many other websites I am posting on and I am sure those sites will want to inform their members and Timeshare owners in general. "

Just returned (Jan 2015)
"We have just returned from 1 week holiday to this area and also got an invite to ANFI. What a beautiful place. We also are seriously looking at buying a week and took the trial offer of 2 weeks at ANFI and 1 week world wide. Going back to same ANFI Beach end of MAY 2015 to try out a 1 bed apartment. We liked the area so much we took a taxi and spent most days on the fantastic beach. With regard to costs, we did a lot of sums sat there soaking up the sun. The main benefit we saw was access to extra weeks. Apart from flights and food, etc, this costs approx £350 for a 1 bed room. A room which can sleep 4. So it would not take many years to recoup the initial outlay, we think. We have 2 grown up sons both with girl friend and friend who we feel would make great use of this facility using extra weeks. Upgrading to 2 bed apartments is also very reasonable (approx £500 for 1 week). That's £125 each!. So they could get a nice 1 week holiday inc flights for less than £250 each food/drinks in a 5* resort. Pretty good I think.! So in conclusion - yes its a big initial outlay and not to be seen as an investment. If used wisely, a lot of very nice holidays in a first class resort are there to be had. The initial outlay and yearly maintenance costs will be recouped. We spent a lot of time looking at food/drink costs in and around the resort as we had read reports of them being high. We found that they were very reasonable often on a par with UK prices. We regularly sat in a café next to the marina and 2 fresh orange juices came to 7 euros (approx. £5.3 total). We felt that was good. The Spa shop was very well stocked and again prices on a par with UK. Nothing special. Great wine selection too!. So the resort has a lot to offer in a compact (but not too) area. One can easily self cater and save money or eat out for convenience or a mixture of both, at very reasonable cost. I will post a follow up report on my return from the MAY trial week."

What next ?
"We have just signed up for a taster ! One week at Anfi in 2015 and two weeks world wide in 2016 . The cost was c£2500.00 . We postponed the decision to sign up for the Anfi membership at a cost of c £11,000 as we wanted to canvas the views of friends and family . Has anyone else experienced the ' Anfi dream'.?"

Anfi beautiful but a rip off
"We stayed at anfi with our friends who have bought quite a few weeks with them. We stayed in a very nice room with a good sized balcony. Our friends had never told us how much they had paid for the weeks they had, We were introduced to the reps who seemed to think we were interested in buying. Well when we were told the price you could have knocked me down with a feather. I did not say i would NOT buy and because of this i managed to get a free round of golf and a couple of very nice breakfasts. They were not happy at all when we refused to buy. Anfi is a lovely place with a nice beach and a nice stroll to the town BUT its a rip off with the timeshare. I urge people not to buy as you will live to regret it as my friends are now."

This really is a great place to holiday
"We've 'owned' an apartment here for twelve years - and never tire of it. The resort gives you everything you need for a relaxing break. Really smart apartments, immaculate gardens, multiple pools restaurants and bars...and obviously the self catering option if you want to cook for yourself. This is a world top ten time share resort - and you can see why. Want to buy? Do so off site ...and only buy a fixed week! The Anfi management make it virtually impossible to book floating weeks unless you've bought through them...expensively! And don't assume you'll get your money back when you decide to sell....this is purely an investment in your holidays. But if you're happy to get your head round this.....Anfii is simply 'the best'. "

Buyer beware. Anfi Beach Club.
"Beautiful resort, sand from the Bahamas, nice shops , bars etc lovely. BUT, beware the timeshare, even if it's called something else. We had the same experience as other families. Told 90 mins.... 4 hrs later we walked away. This is a very very slick and carefully choreographed operation. We asked to have a copy of the agreement for our solicitor to look at before we signed anything. ABSOLUTELY NOT..Why? Surely that's good business practice? ... We wondered what happens if you can't pay your £500+ a year.? We did the same maths as others and came up with the same answers. What are you paying for, you would have a virtual share in ... Who knows??? Bear in mind this is room only. No flights, food or transfer. Buyer beware ...... I hope you are reading this within your 15 day cool off period."

What does the money pay for?
"We have just come back from Gran Canaria and went on a vist to Anfi Beach Club while we were there. Lovely place indeed, although the beach, shops, restaruants etc., could be used by none residents. The only private part being the gated entrance to the apartments. What we couldn't work out was the cost. One week at the complex and you couldn't be guaranteed the same apartment. The cost of £550 which you have to pay every year was for the maintenance and admin fees. If you add two flights, transfers, food and drink then your one week's holiday would cost you well over a £1400. Okay, it may be worth it as it was a nice place but we have found quite a lot of nice hotels in nice places for less than this. What I can't understand is, okay it may be a lovely place, but apart from it costing in excess of £1400, why would we want to pay £17,300.00 for the pleasure of being able to have a week there. What are you actually getting for the £17,300.00 fee they were expecting us to cough up? If it was a normal aparthotel I am sure you could book a week there every year if you booked in advance. You wouldn't get the exact apartment, but you don't get the same one on this scheme anyway. It could go up in price, but so could the maintenance charge. If everyone paid £17,300.00 for the 51 weeks in the year (one week given over for maintenance) for the same room, then they would get £882,300.00 per a one bed apartment, plus £28,050.00 giving a grand total of £910,350.00. Maybe it would be better for 51 people to buy a fantastic villa and then they would all own it because at the moment, all you are getting at Anfi Beach Club is fresh air, you own nothing. The maintenance is also for life, even if you pass it on to your family in your will, they will have to pay it for life even if they don't want to use it. So, what does the money pay for? "

What a con
"Offered a free trip to the beach by a green banana rep after some delving got him to admit it was a time share. Told we got a free taxi to the beach and could use the sunbeds etc. for free. Advised a quick tour about 45 mins then we could collect our free gift and spend the day on the beach and get a free taxi back. Arrived at the resort in our free taxi went to reception where an Anfie rep told us we would go on a tour for about 90 mins. The actual tour took 3 and a half hours, we had a 5 year old with us who had run out of patience by then as had we. We then were taken to a room where we were told we would have to wait to see someone to sign us out, sell us a timeshare, before we could get our free grift and taxi fare back. We waited another half hour and still no one free. We walked out, no free gift, paid for our own taxi. The beach was free to any one but we had to pay for the sunbeds. A total disaster, lied to by everyone. What a waste of a morning. Another family we met were sent away and told to come back next day, they got their taxi back paid but not their free gift. After we told them of our experience they did not return."

AMAZING CANT GET ENOUGH
"Hello, I've been going to Anfi since I was 4 years old i am now 19 and still continuing to go with my friends. its an amazing place with amazing amenities. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE THAT SAYS ITS DIRTY OR THERE COCKROACHES BECAUSE THERE ISN'T! Anfi is great for families and also great for the teenagers as it is close to the town centre for there clubbing needs. I took my friends there for my 18th birth. we landed and everyone was a bit groggy from lack of sleep the night before and then the 4 hour plain journey. we got into the room and my girls were stunned to say the least! the last 2 years when me and my friends have been looking for holidays NOTHING can compare to Anfi! the food is great the staff are great the apartments are great and the pools are great. About 4 years ago my dad slipped on a step coming back from the little spar that is on site and cut his thumb open on a bottle that smashes that was in his bag Anfi were FANTASTIC they paid for his cab to the doctors they paid for his treatment and for his medicine , none of which they had to do as it wasn't there fault (my dads shoes broke and he tripped) I could have asked for a better place to spend my childhood summers and would strongly recommend stay at Anfi! Going again in 2012 with my girls because no where else is up to scratch compared to Anfi absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! All of the Anfi accomadations are up to excellent standard not just one i have stayed at all 5 (Grand Anfi,Anfi Beach,Monti Anfi, Puerto Anfi And the Anfi Tauro Site) They are all amazing. Anyone that is thinking of going DO IT! I can promise you will not regret it at all. Enjoy "

Fab for families
"We stay at my parents apart at Anfi Beach, they bought it when it was firat built before the rest were even started. I've been 4 times and going again this year, we love it. It has everything we need for a family we go down to the pool during the day and sometimes the beach. We eat out every night in the plaza and have a few drinks and do the shopping round there too. Weve been out of the complex before to eat and shop occassionally but its so easy to stay there esp when you have children with you. Absolutely love it and wouldnt change anything except the week is in school time and it costs a fortune to change it to s floating week! Never had any probs there except once we got blamed for noise when it wasnt actually us think it was the apart above us as we could hear the drunk man too!"
