Hotel from Hell!!!!
" DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!! the whole place is crambed full of cockroaches even after we changed rooms twice, the patio by the dinner area is a breeding ground for them!!! sitting there one evening enjoying the terrible entertainment and was surrounded by them, most disgusting hotel i have ever been to!! the additional problem was, i myself was 28weeks pregnant whilst i was there (thought i'd have a break before the little one arrived) you are only allow 1 drink per person from the bar, so myself and my friend who i went with spent most of our evenings queing up to get a soft drink, even though a pregnant woman is standing for long periods queing this does not affect the 1 drink rule! you can que as many times as you like as long as you put your drink at your table then que again! if you have small children you will be spending alot of time at the bar trying to refill there coke/fanta/7up! or a large crowd will be spending most of the time in the que together! the pool is sea water and in the week i was there i only see them clean it once!!!!!"

holiday from hell, rude and corrupt ataff
"i would strongly recommend people stay away from the hotel. it is disgusting. we had 2 studio rooms booked and our first day there we were told we could not have our rooms. we are a family of 7 with a 4 month old baby. we were robbed by a member of staff on our second day. there was no sign of forced entry and was done within 3 hours 12pm till 15pm. they robbed all our money bank cards driving licences, kids ipods and even the 4 month old babies gold bangle. we told the manager and surprise, suprise we were bullied and intimated by security and kicked out on the streets. the staff were extremely aggressive and rude to me and my family. i will never be travelling there again. cant fault fuerteventura but the hotel was SHOCKING !!!!!!
"when we arrived to the olas, we was waiting for a long time to find are rooms wernt ready and they didnt even have rooms to put us in!!when they eventully gave us the keys we found are rooms finally after been left to find it on our own, considering the olas complexe is huge!!. when we found are rooms all 3 of them where together luckily but they wernt cleaned with rubbish everywhere dirty bed sheets still on and had to wait around for another couple of hours to wait till the maid cleaned are rooms !! my boyfriends sister has to little boys who had to sleep on the sofa bed wen they had orderd a family room we all had the same size and when we confronted the owner he said we get wt we are given, from there on we knew we had to make the best of our holiday seeing as the olas was a complete disaster!! we only stayed a week but that was long enough in that hotel!! we was guarenteed maid service every other day, we hadent seen them all week and had contiously been asking for towels as we had to use the same ones all week!! wen they gave us the towels it was the last day of our holiday there exscuse was they havent got enough staff or facilities ,(then why are they booking people to stay at there hotel if thats the case!!!), to top it off there was wall tiles everywhere not safe at all, it needed TLC big time , also in the morning a really bd smell was in all the rooms ,human waste was coming thru so u had to block the b-day and toilet and shower so that u didnt get the smell!! although i have to say we was booked in for bed and breakfast and i couldent fault the food at all and fuerteventura itself is beautiful and is great for all ages, family, couples and is very children friendly!!Theres plenty of other lovley hotels u cn stay in as we had checked some out!! when we was leaving we went to the desk to hand our key in and over heard 7 familys was told to leave and go to another hotel because the olas had over booked and they wasent even willing to pay for the cost so i will never be staying there again as it put a downer on the holiday , but i will be goin back to fuerteventura loved it people are friendly food is great plenty to do x"

Filthy, disgusting apartments. Don't go.
"We had booked 2 studio apartments as we are a family of 6 but when we arrived were told that only 1 room was available until next day so all 6 of us had to spend 1st night in 1 room. Rooms are dirty and not cleaned regularly, had to go to reception after 4 days to demand rooms be cleaned. Even then they weren't cleaned until 5th day. Cockroaches are everywhere!! The food in the so-called restaurant is awful. Staff in poolside bar are rude. Public toilets are disgusting. Water constantly being turned off for maintenance purposes. No-one seemed to give a damn at reception. Do yourself a favour and don't stay here."

"Unless you like sharing your room with jungle citters such as ants and cockroaches, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! From the initial view of the outside and reception area you may be fooled into thinking this is a nice place to stay. Do not be fooled, the only nice thing about it is it's location, close to the all the shops and restaurants etc. However that's wher you will want to spend all your time, as we have just discovered! Ants are crawling around throughout the complex, in each bit of the apartment, on the beds, by the pool and in the kitchen. But that's not all that was crawling; cockroaches are aparantly everywhere too! We had one nasty one in the kitchen area but fellow tourists had them on there bed and all around. It is no suprise as this complex needs serious money spending on it. The rooms are from the 1980's, the lights and switches are mostly broken and tiled areas cracked or uneven. We accidently walked by the 'service' area at the base of the complex and saw the real horror of the place; smashed flooring, files of accounts left to perish and broken glass windows showing there age. Please take my advice, as of 25th April 2011, please do NOT book this, you will regret it! Thank goodness we went only for a long weekend, any longer and we would have gone mad!"

Not that bad
"My partner and I took our 9 month old baby daughter for 10 days all Inclusive and were very sceptical because of what we had read about the hotel. The room was average, with no kettle, we had to boil the saucepan for baby's milk bottles. Room was clean enough, towels were changed when left in the bath, didn't suffer with mozzies. We even told the maid not to bother cleaning the room 1 day becaause it didn't need doing!! Food was very repetitive, but we never went hungry. Take a trip to the dunes, beach amazing with clear waters. Try the 2 all you can eat chinese restaurants, Spring Court and the one opposite 7 pints, you will not be disappointed. Also, take a trip to oasis park, well worth the money. To sum it up, we have stayed in much better hotels, but we only paid £547 for 10 days, £27.35 each per night. With the very generous Rasheed serving your drinks, you can drink that amount alone. Where can you stay in England for that price?? "

"Cockroaches, found two bugs in a room, dirty blankets...had to wash one to be able to use it. we had to complain to get a better room, were paranoid about insects for the first two days:) but having sprayed with a spray found no more, on the positive side, close to the centre, shops and restaurants, reasonable kitchen area with the fridge"

Value for money, good location, mind the mossies!
"We were looking for a cheap, safe, clean and comfortable hotel, somewhere to sleep, grab a snack, get changed, keep our things in and Club Las Olas served us well. Initially we were shown to a room that didn't have a working door onto the balcony, there was no key for it, and the front door looked like it had been broken into as the barrel was exposed and the door frame cracked so I felt quite anxious as I've been robbed on holiday before and was in no hurry to repeat the experience. We went back down to the reception and got keys to another room to look at first before we decided to swap; we did this with little hassle, I stressed that we had paid extra for a balcony and insisted there was no way we felt safe staying in that room and they offered us another one. There we stayed, safe and happy for a fortnight. If you stay here and are of a mind to, get a tin of cat food from the local supermarket as there is a cat shelter provided in the gardens, in the evening the hedgehogs frequent it as well. The pools are salt water which we ended up preferring, always clean and very refreshing. Always plenty of sunloungers. We didn't eat in the hotel aside from a quick snack at the pool bar once, as we were self catering. The maids were very good, they came often even if it wasn't time for new towels or sheets, they would sweep the floors, mop, clean and make the beds. Our maid was very nice, I had bother with the mosquitos and she left us a jungle fever plug-in and changed my sheets as there was a squashed mosquito and blood on them. It was so hot when we were there that we suffered if we didn't leave the windows and doors open. I got 60 mosquito bites in total, mostly within the first few nights so be careful and take the precautions. Corralejo itself was fantastic, it was our first time and we will be going back as soon as we can. There are loads of ex-pats, loads of fantastic restaurants whether you're looking for chinese, indian, italian, spanish, canarian, hawaiian... you name it. Loads of deals for breakfasts aswell. MUST GOs: 'Poco Loco' we went 5 times, the staff could not be nicer, more helpful or full of good humour. The food itself is fantastic and they open all day and quite late at night. 'The Point' lovely Scottish couple Louise & Brian run it during the day, they've been out there 14 years and provide the best hospitality you could ask for. Try Louise's daily specials and her french toast sandwich. Note: they provide HP sauce and Irn Bru!! 'Waka Waka' Andrea, Andrea & Jose opened Waka Waka a few months ago. We went on our first night and fell in love with them, and the bar. I think it may have had something to do with the riotous humour, free shots, nibbles and Andrea's magic cocktails. It got to the stage we were going up to the bar and saying, 'surprise me!'. They are absolutely wonderful, great entertainers, barmen, cooks. They open from 6 to serve food - fantastic food - and are supposed to close at 2... but we never left before 3, and at half four on our last night. They are very charming and welcoming and adore company, so go and see for yourselves!! Found in the Atlantico Centre 'Where Abouts' run by an absolute gentleman and next door to The Point. If you're looking to go on any excursions, to phone home or use the internet or are just generally interested in what there is to do round about, pop in and see him! We went snorkelling off Los Lobos and did the 4.5hr buggy ride - both we highly recommend, but you will get veeery dirty doing the latter. The rates for internet and phone calls are unbeatable, you can take one of the cordless phones and sit out on the terrace, or take it next door to The Point and chat whilst you eat/drink. We went to a pub quiz at 'Rosie O'Grady's' (an Irish Bar in the old town - great quiz if you fancy it) with him during our second week, he's just an all round nice guy. You'll likely see a magazine called 'What's On' when you arrive - use it as your guide, it's invaluable. He runs the magazine aswell. Aswell as Rosie O'Grady's, we would recommend 'Paddy's Bar' - a great irish bar across from Waka Waka. We had a memorable lock-in 'til the back of 6 in the morning one night. Fantastic people. We did loads more, and ate out and drank at loads of great places but those topped the list for us. Oh, and visit the Dunes!!! Not to be missed. Also known as 'Glass Beach'"
