Possibly the most revolting Hotel I have ever stayed in!
"My friend and I booked the hotel and flight through Jet2holidays, the flight was good, the transfer was quick but the minute we arrived at the Costa Caleta Hotel we soon discovered how disgusting the place was. We were told upon arrival by the receptionist that we had 10 minutes to still get dinner...it was 9:25pm, as we entered the depressing food area the cheese I went to take which was already sweating already more than Rocky Balboa and uncovered in a warm area, I was told I was not allowed to take as it was for breakfast, so that would be at least another 12 hours fermenting. The food we did try on the one occasion was over cooked and luke warm, Health and Hygiene would have a field day here. The ‘all inclusive’ drinks were undrinkable and the only purpose for them would be to remove nail polish. We informed Jet2holidays the next day that we were unhappy the next day and sadly as nice and polite as they were absolutely no solution was given, the initial call was taken whilst sitting outside in the Hotel seating area and there was a sanitary towel on the floor in front of us. We have had no meals here and that includes the three basic breakfast, lunch and evening meal, we have had no alcohol beverages or tea and coffee. We asked for an iron and were charged €10 for a deposit and €10 for the use, a complete joke as it was an iron that had clearly been left behind from a guest from the UK with a UK plug on it and it was a very old iron. Thank goodness this has not put us of Fuerteventura and I would 100% recommend the area but steer well clear of Costa Caleta Hotel and Jet2holidays."

Noise bad food not for English
"Will not return to this resort. All inclusive which wasn't cheap yet food was worse than school dinners. No English entertainment. Room was on hotel service road facing 3 skips road works and staff arriving early. Talking loud. Woken up every morning at 6am by noise. No air con so had to leave doors open and barricade with plastic chairs. At 7.30AM every morning dune buggies arrived opposite room . More noise! No sunbeds available cause of towels on all. Had one day when we got some. Traveled with partner and his mother and 12 yr old son and they said we booked honeymoon suite! Which they put us in. Apparently. Two single beds? Not the honeymoon suite but a mix up cause we booked a sea view, but didn't get one. Some if the staff were unfriendly and abrupt. If you want a nice relaxing quite holiday with great entertainment and friendly people ... DO NOT BOOK HERE. "

"Went to this hotel 2nd march till 9th been here b4 never again really gone down hill every meal was cold chicken and veal on the menu every day we never ad any meal that was hot I waited for eggs to be cooked wen finished they were put on the back and when the lady bought them they were stone cold told the rep and he said nobody had complained that was lies because we herd people go to him and complain for my evening meal I was making a sandwich even the microwave was not heating the food hot av been told that Thompson are taking over in May lets hope it improves if you like cold food that's the place to go."

"The food was always under cooked and cold. The microwave had a plate in it that belonged to another machine so did not work properly. No plug in the bathroom sink. Reception told us none available. Sunbeds and chairs in very tired condition. Some staff surly when approached with problems. Poolside bar rarely manned, so much to all inclusive.
My advice would be go elsewhere.

Going down hill.
"This hotel according to one holiday maker that I spoke to said it has slowly gone down hill in the last 3 years. (He has been holidaying there for the past 5 years for 8 weeks at a time).
I can only agree with how he felt.
The front line staff do their best with no apparent back up from management.
The food is luke warm at best. No variety either.
Perhaps they are accommodating the influx of eastern Europeans who now holiday here. As we found out when we visited their countriesâ¦they do not like HOT food
The layout is also a bit confusing, with there are steps along all the corridors.
The hotel seems to have ended up on the outskirts of Caleta possibly due partly to the financial crisis which stopped investment around it. There isnât much about, except the windy coast line and the almost tame chipmunks which we fed most of the days.
We went with Thomson and were treated like cattle from the airport being being bundled onto a double decker coach.
They charged us Â£30 transfer fees.
We decided to return to the airport by taxi when our holiday was over. It cost just 11.50 Euros !
The rep (advisor now called) in the hotel did his best for us.
The entertainment at the hotel was also amateurish

"Just got back from this hotel on the 2/10/12 it is what it says a 3 star hotel the beds were a bit lumpy with sheets that hardly covered the matress so everytime you move you were on the matress itself, the food was repetertive and bland you are all right if you like salads and chips we were all inclusive but ended up going and buying our own spirits and coke as theres was undrinkable, we also went out for a meal the entertainment team did a good job they were very friendly and always had time for you, the hotel was kept very clean and tidy and dispite all these comments we did have a good time but unfortunatly wouldnt go back or recomend it. "this is our 7th time here in this hotel since may and yep we have already booked again. the staff are 100 % the food is excellent with plenty of choices. the rooms are exceptionally clean. nothing is too much trouble no matter what your needs are or what you want. pool side is kept clean sunbeds are plentyful although you might not get the best spot if your not early 8am ish to place your sunbed. some people obviously expect 5 star plus (i suggest they go and pay 5 star plus prices and holiday elsewhere) entertainment during the day is so funny and the team try to get everybody involved) we have met many lovely people while holidaying here in the costa caleta and not one of them complained (except one woman who shouted and ranted at me for telling her kids off for kicking the cats and running the corridors everynight from 8pm onwards disturbing people while screaming and playing in the lifts ) not bad children they appologised parents should be keeping control of their children and considering other guests ) this hotel is very dissabled freindly and i would recomend it to anybody. WELL DONE COSTA CALETA WE LOVE IT HERE ."

Gosh some people will find any think to moan at
"Just got back from a 7 night stay.And all i can say is how any one can moan at this hotel the staff,the food,I will never no.....
The staff work hard and i mean hard all day and night to keep the guests happy.Yes because of the only 2 drinks per guest you have a que,but the longest i was in it was 3 min MAX and that was at peek times..We arived late due to a 3 hour delay and they layed food on for us at 10pm.
The food if you can not find food you like at this place then i think maybe decide to go self catering,There was nothing i can fault on the food except the toaster.you do have to put the bread through twice,But i wouldnt let that ruin my holiday has some seem to HA.........It was spotless the maid OMG they work thier socks of the rooms the whole hotel was spotless
Now the pool and sun beds !!!!!!!!Not sure how some people went down to claim beds at half 7 the chains dont come of till 8am yes a few sit and wait and take them but most times i was able to get a few beds for my wife and my self
The rooftop pool and sunbeds WOW a place to go away from the husle and busle of a typical holiday resort
I will be returning october and again next year Costa Caleta is the place to be not just the hotel but the resort beach and shops

"Had a wonderful Holiday at the Costa Caleta.
We went there on chance as we had not been there before.
The hotel was very clean, and the food was also very good for a 3*.
I was a bit worried about wether it was going to be shady at sometimes
due to shape of the Hotel surrounding the pool, but I need not have
worried, the sun shone right down the centre of the pool.
The staff were superb very friendly and efficient.
Would deffinately go again.

"Great hotel, friendly staff, great choice of food, but very noisey around the pool with the reps and a tannoy system, NOT a relaxing place. Also will not go there when more than 50% full. At 50% it is good but according to staff and other guests over 50% and you have to queue for everything. Reps had people playing water polo whilst the swimming pool area was crowded causing a lot of problems with the ball being thrown out of the water and knocking over drinks etc."

"We returned to hotel costa caleta from 3rd to 14th March 2012. We had a very good holiday. The staff all work extremely hard. The rooms were modern and cleaned 5 times a week. The bedding is changed twice a week.
There are plenty of sun loungers which are chained up at night. If you were not on you lounger by about 9.45 - 10 o clock the life guard removed towels. However, there were plenty of unused loungers still stacked up.
The hotel was full, and sometimes there were queues for the dining room. The staff worked very hard to clear tables as quickly as possible to prevent the queues. The food was good with a large variety of meats, fish, salad and veg. The snacks were hot dogs, chips, burgers, croissants and biscuits.
There was a large queue one evening at the bar, so they opened up another bar. This bar was then opened every night. You are only allowed 2 drinks per person which also helps keep down the queues.
We loved it and will return again. "

you get what you pay for
"The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. The hotel is in a good area for shops, bars and beach. The AI option was very good and the food was fine. you could eat and drink as much as you wanted but no tea or coffee or water or anything before 8am. The really bad thing about this is that people get up early for sun beds so you are sitting around for ages in the cold guarding your bed and umbrella. if you didn't get up early you could not sit by the pool as there was no room and people even had to use the cafe areas chairs. there was also not enough umbrellas so when the midday sun came you had to go inside with your kids. the suns beds on the beach were only 9 euros but when there is 8 of you it gets expensive and you have to come back for lunch as the packed lunch is poor and the kids prefer the pool. We would not return to the canaries as it was cloudy most days till late morning. we did have a good time though and met some nice people to chat to which was good as the entertainment was poor."
