Best holiday ever!!
"Just returned from 10 day stay at caletta gardens, and think i must have been in a different hotel than some of the other people on this site. Without a doubt would say that this was the best holiday we have ever been on.
I found the pool to be very clean and the maid service excellent.
But above all the entertainment in the hotel was top class, never had to leave the hotel and my usually very shy 6 year old son was up dancing at the mini disco every night! Well done Toyah and Alan!
I used to mock people who returned to the same hotel year after year but am happy to say i have now joined them and would be hard pressed to even consider going anywhere else again, so lads (Toyah, Alan and of course Aziz) hope to see you soon! miss you already!"

Not bad for the price
"The pool has no shallow end so not ideal for younger children who are not strong swimmers. You cannot escape the noise of the entertainment which goes on until around 11:30pm so if you have an early start in the morning, hard luck. Generally the hotel was OK for the price and the staff were friendly."

Where not to stay in Fuerteventura
"Stayed there for 15 minutes in 2002. Disgusting room. Not clean. Furniture in poor state of repair. Bacony view didn't work out as we were effectively in the basement - our view was of a brick wall. So-called 'double bed' only 4' wide - just a large sigle really.
Thompson Rep not present.
We just gave up and booked in the nearby Barcelo Club which was excellent. Would go there again.
We returned the next day and found a Thomposon rep, who insisted that the bed was a double, and that there was nothing wrong with a dirty room.
When we got back to the UK we complained to the travel agent and to Thompson who denied that there was anything to complain about.
There is no way in the world that we would ever trust Thompson again, but would have no hesitation in booking directly with the Barcelo Club. A decent level of accomodation at a slightly higher price."

Going back again this year!
"The hotel is absolutely excellent, it would be hard to find anywhere more welcoming and nicer.
We are going back again this year for a return visit.
The local restaurants are varied, very good food and extremely reasonable.
Highly recommend the Caleta Gardens."

nice, but wouldn't go back
"I quite recently stayed at the caleta garden hotel with my parents and a friend. Our room was brilliant, right in front of the pool but the pool wasn't really warm enough to go in. It was also noisy with young kids during the day, and adults walking up and down at night.
I wasn't too impressed with the beach either, it was very windy and seemed colder than the other canary islands because of this. I would say the hotel is pleasant, but wouldn't reccoment staying more than a week, as I couldn't wait to come home!"

Olay Olay, Always Happy!!!!
"I had to write a review about Caleta Garden Apartments because the holiday as a whole was such fantastic value for money. As other guests have mentioned the apartments themselves are very basic but they have everything you need and the cleaning service was very good.
Entertainment for the children is 1st class, DJ Al and the rest of reps made sure the children had fun whatever time of day. All staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Look out for the happy hour/s and Aziz the bar manager who's 'always happy.'
Caleta de Fuste is a quiet resort even though it was peak season nowhere was overly busy which made eating out and exploring very pleasurable. The beach is gorgeous, water so clear you can see the fish swimming around your ankles.
Fantastic holiday - I hope to return soon!"

Super holiday for all the family especially us adults
"My family and I returned to caleta gardens for the second time (1st time sept 03 then again July 04) Yet again we had a fabulous holiday DJ Al is the best entertainment we have ever got from a holiday resort and we've been to lots of resorts. Not only did he entertain the children he entertained the adults too with his quizzes waterpolo and vollyball he gets everybody involved. They have excellent staff Fran behind reception was great, as was barman Aziz always there to make sure your Happy Happy Happy.
Our stay was made great by Kim any problems she'd sort them out but there wasn't any.
Caleta Gardens is extremely clean, friendly and it just feels like home already booked for next year with people we met.
Keep up the good work see you next July!!!"

Had a brilliant time
"I have stayed at the Caleta Gardens 3 times with my husband and daughter and each time found it to be excellent value for money for self catering. Each time we've been we've had a different type of apartment. The ones underground are OK if a little dark but you do get a reduction in cost. The staff are all very friendly and the kids reps work very hard. Caleta du Fuste was a very quiet town when we went in 2003 but there was quite a bit of building work planned and no doubt when we return in April 2005 new hotels and facilities will have been added. Anyone who books these apartments shouldn't expect five star accommodation but at the end of the day you only sleep there!!!!!!"

horrible apartments , never again
"Rooms very dated, needs a lot TLC, not secured! Self catering? well you need to pay for toaster, kettle, iron, wash machine, safe..
Cleaners very bad attitude and poor cleaning.
Share showers, toilets and language room were very smelly.
Cats in the complex!
Bar and reception area very dated. Drinks served in the plastic cups.
WiFi only around reception.

Dark depressing ill equipped room, Low Cost Holidays big mistake
"We originally booked in the sister hotel Puerto Caleta with Low Cost Holidays. Big Mistake! On arrival we were told no rooms were available and systematically ushered to the Caleta Garden, presented with a typed declaration to waiver our rights to complain if we accepted and signed for free breakfasts. After speaking with at least half a dozen other guests it became apparent that this practice was endemic. The hotel is mediocre at best, the staff rude and the food fodder. Our North facing room received no sunshine at all and the patio doors could not be secured. There were live electrical cables under the kitchen sink. Self catering means no toaster or kettle. Low Cost Holidays have offered £33 compensation off a £700+ holiday and there appears to be no arbitration (not ABTA). Their website says they are members of the Spanish equivalent. Book at your peril"
