5 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
"Been back 2 weeks from a 7 night holiday here and overall had a relaxing time, rooms were cleaned on a daily basis towels changed everyday, even when my son and husband were having a afternoon nap the cleaning lady was very nice and was very quiet and respectful of them sleeping. The rooms were basic but spacious and for all the time we spent in them were just what was needed. Air con worked, lovely. The pool was shut twice die to somebody's child using it as a toilet which in that heat was not good but we didn't mind it was the fault of the parent!! The staff were friendly and the pool area was clean and you could relax knowing that children were in sight at all times. The other guests were friendly as well which is nice and the children all made friends which was brilliant my son loved every minute of it!! The "entertainment" was repetitive and the kids mini disco?? was the same songs every night which was boring, although the bouncy castles and pool table were a blessing meaning we could sit in the evening and the children played. The food was ok but fish night was the only night we went out of the place to eat and there wasn't nearly enough food choices for children!! Reception staff were helpful and as we arrived late at night had a plate of food waiting for us on arrival. On the negative side the pool side toilet was a no no!! it was stinking!and the floor was soaking we went back to our room if we needed the loo. Also one evening we left a bag of shopping under our table and when we realized this we went to ask bar staff if anyone had handed it in and they just shrugged their shoulders and said no but spoke in Spanish?? we were not happy at all??!!! All in all we had a great time and would consider going back in the future thank you."

"Where do I start! Firstly must say the reception staff were great as were most of the staff. The rooms were 'cleaned' every day which means beds were made. The food was absolutely terrible, the meat was tough, every kind of meat, most of the food was cold even when brought out straight from the kitchen, the wine glasses on the tables looked as if they hadn't been washed and very poor selection of salad which is what I had to end up eating because of the meat situation. I couldn't believe that the lounge bar closed at 7! we were told to go for a drink at the restaurant which we duly did to find it closed! I'm not an alcoholic but do like a drink before going to eat. So we had to go up and down steps about 16 I think every time we wanted a drink and not being young people we found this most annoying as well as the fact we were expected to drink outside if we didn't go to sit in the lounge, which I'm sure that is what lounges are for!! All in all it is a place I would not recommend my friends to visit and certainly wont be going again. We have been traveling abroad twice a year for the past 20 years and this is the worst place we have stayed in."

" A very quiet and pleasantly situated complex. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We went with friends and were allocated adjoining one bedroom apartments(there are 2 bedroom ones but we didn't see them). The rooms were clean and well furnished. The kichen was a bit basic with a kettle, fridge, toaster, microwave and two hob ceramic hotplate (but the pans were too large to use both at once!). However, by using the hobs in both apartments, we were able to provide evening meals for 6 people as often as we needed. Kitchen utensils were fine, but, as in all self catering situations, take your favourite tools and adornments in your cargo luggage! There is a snack bar next to reception but that's what it is - a small convenient snack bar. Punta Prima beach is a short stroll away and there are several excellent eating places on the front. All the rooms have poolside views and the well established gardens provide plenty of colour and greenery. The pools themselves are clean and child friendly. There are plenty of sunbeds but few parasols and people, especially with small children, may need to provide their own. It is a 3 keys - not 3 stars - establishment and Spanish. The maid service is limited and sheets and towels are changed twice a week. You wiil be expected to make your own beds( to lie in!) and sweep out your own rubbish! Evenings are quiet but there is entertainment provided over the road at the Lighthouse tapas bar. You should sleep peacefully and as long as you want to! Punta Prima and the surrounding area is very Spanish- but Inglesi friendly- and picturesque - don't be expecting Veronica's or San Antonio - or even Los Dolfines - because you will be disappointed. But Isla De L'Aire is an 'easy' place to stay. You - and your kids -will make friends there. One couple we met were on their 12th visit and many others said they would go back. We had one hiccup at the end of the holidays when our return taxi was delayed by the festival at Sant Llouis and we were panicking. The lovely lady on reception chased them up and allayed our fears. All in all - a very enjoyable holiday."

"Just returned after 2 weeks and we had a great holiday, yes it is quiet but just what we were looking for. Our 3 yr old son Josh made lots of friends espeicaly kiera,Eve,Jessica and brothers George and James who helped keep him entertained over the 2 weeks thats whats great about this resort your kids make friends almost instantly. All the people there very friendly and I'm sure we will see a few of them again next year.. The town itself none existent but enough restaurants to keep you fed over your stay. The Blue Anchor is good for sky sports thats about it the food is bland and beer overpriced but staff really friendly. Staff at the apartments really friendly espiecaly paul who gives you info on anything you need to know and Fracisco and Karlos or (Arny and Danny Devito from the movie twins) as they were comenly known were ok but a bit on the slow side. Overall had a great time and will defo go back next year."
