Second visit to Hotel Cala Blanca
"We took our two grandchildren to this hotel for a week in June and stayed on an all inclusive basis. We found it to be excellent value for money. The animation team provided plenty of activities for the children to join in with each day and there was a kiddie's disco each evening which was very popular. The swimming pools were very clean, as were all the public areas. Overall the food was good and varied and catered for most tastes. We found the dining room and reception area staff to be very pleasant at all times. We would be happy to visit again!"

"How stay at the hotel cala blanca, we were family of 4 adults and 3 children. It is a very clean hotel, all staff very friendly and work very HARD. Food very nice. Plenty off sun beds for everyone. Ralouca and Antonio work hard both day and night to keep the children and adults entertained, there are some showes that come in, in the evening. The location very quiet but can get a bus to citudella an cala boch. This is the first hotel we have been to and been out numbered by the Italians and french. Beach just down road if uu want a packed lunch just let them know the night befor an it b there for u at breakfast time. CANT FAULT THIS HOTEL."

Worth a visit
"We have just come back from The Hotel Cala Blanca in Cala Blanca (7-14 August 2006) and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.
The food was very good, the rooms were kept clean and the pool was great.
We wanted a quiet resort so this suited us perfectly. They have entertainment every evening mainly catering for the younger children, but also have entertainment catering for the parents too. They also had games for the children at various intervals in the pool during the day and in the evening the entertainment is for anyone who wanted to join in.
My children were 12 & 10 respectively and had fun in the pool, using the pool table and table tennis, they even joined in a couple of poolside games too. This all made my holiday a "hassle free holiday" which was just what I wanted.
There was a beach close by, so we had the best of both worlds, I would even go so far as to say that I would go back."

Very Clean and Friendly Hotel
"Our party of three adults and two children have just returned from a week at Hotel Cala Blanca where we had a great time. All parts of the hotel, pool area and gardens were kept exceptionally clean and tidy. There were plenty of sun beds and, although there was only a few parasols, there was plenty of shade from trees in the garden if you wanted to get out of the sun. Food was not awfully varied but good nonetheless and as the staff seated you for each meal it was not a free for all in the restaurant. Animation team consisted of a man and a woman who involved the children in acitivities each day and entertained us in the evenings with kids mini disco, bingo and shows. Great for the kids but we were happy to just sit around the pool after dinner or go for walk. Some evenings professional entertainers were performing which were pretty good. We all loved the island of Menorca as a whole. The locals were friendly and we were pleased to see that no fish & chips shops or english pubs were in evidence. In addition, we saw very few fellow english people wearing nylon football shirts which was a bonus! Only one complaint about the hotel - the entertainment was cancelled on the evening of the world cup final so that the match could be watched on the TV in the entertainment room. As we had chosen that week to get away from footballmania, it was rather ironic that the wishes of a handful of people took precedence. A lovely beach was only five minutes walk away with clear blue sea. Hire of two sun beds and a parasol was 18 euros per day which we thought was a rip off so we went to the local shop and bought a parasol for less that ten euros and laid on a lilo or towels! There was a bus stop outside hotel with a regular service to the quaint town of ciudadela which was worth a visit. Took an all day boat trip from the harbour around the coast which we enjoyed. Having read last season's reviews about this hotel after we had booked it, we were very pleasantly surprised to find a very clean and friendly hotel in which we had a very enjoyable stay."

"Read the reviews as we all do, But dont make an assumption on years old reviews, its a foreign country, and its not the English Riviera, so dont expect fish and chips, from an english chippy, or One of those Burger giants ,Thank heavens for small mercies. I took my 2 Children to the hotel, all with an open mind, we had a fantastic holiday, and would not hesitate in returning again"

dont listen to most reviews
"After reading a lot of reviews on this hotel i wondered what i had let myself in for, but i can honestly say i was pleasently surprised when me and my family went in june. Hotel had everything you need, very clean, nice food, good entertainment. One thing i should say is if you are after a lively loud place to party all night dont come here, its a lovely little quite resort great for familys or older couples. Rooms were basic but very clean, had tv in room so good for kids when your trying to get ready to go out. Restarant is buffet style with nice selection of food, had full english brekkie everyday for two weeks must of put on a stone in weight! In between meal times the restarant is open for snacks eg sandwiches burgers chips etc but food must be eaten in restarant they even had pumps to help yourself to lager (san megal) and red or white wine. Outside is two good size pools and a bar. There is no kids club as such but the kids entertainers were about most of the day so children could join in with activities and win certificates and medals, my kids loved it. Nightly entertainment was ok apart from the bingo which seemed to go on forever. Cala blanca itself is very quite with a little cove beach a few tourist shops and restarants, but the bus service is excellent and stops right outside of hotel to take you to cuidedella there you can catch another to anywhere on island. one thing i should point out is when you travel back from cuidedella you must buy a ticket from ticket office opposite the bus station, they wont let you on without one, its only when you travel from the bus stop in cuidedella other than that you can buy ticket on bus. All in all we had a great time."

"Flew fron Newcastle late September 2004. Booked for 2 weeks all inclusive. Didnt sleep for the 1st week- the sound of people being ill and crying out for someone to help them was too much.Food cold , but lovely staff. Local health inspectors checking on hotel due to illness. Airtours couldnt care less, never saw rep once. Booked flight home 1 week early at own expense £380 but worth coming home healthy.Dont waste your money go to another hotel."

"we have just returned from this hotel 23/10/2004.It is a very clean, well kept hotel and the island is beautiful. We booked all inclusive but after one day we decided to eat most meals out of the hotel as the food tasted cold although after discussions with the manager it did get hotter.Several people became ill and two were admitted to hospital, the reason for this was unclear but we played safe. Also there was not one television on in the whole hotel and night time entertainment was very limited. One got the impression that the hotel was winding down for the end of the season. On the plus side the staff were very kind, pleasant and extremely friendly.
We would definitely return to Menorca but sadly not to this hotel"

"We were in Hotel Cala Blanca for 2 weeks in July 2004. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Hotel is built in the 70's and in quiet resort. Very family orientated and plenty of space around the pool, with the option of shades from the tall pine trees, but watch out for bird droppings from above ! Staff are very friendly and hotel kept clean, cleaners were in our room everyday. Hotel is only 5 minutes from a good small cove with clean water and beach. There is a bus stop just behind the resort which was very handy. Food is average but plenty of variety. Could do with more theme nights. Night entertainment was fair although not all shows were exactly children friendly. Whole hotel practically shuts down after 12 midnights and signs were put up in walls to be quiet after this time !! Plenty of Italian, French and locals from mainland there, Brits were outnumbered and Germans non existance. Rooms were basic, but no tv and air cond and was extrememly hot at night. Cost more to hire a fan for two weeks than to buy one, so we did. To sum up, it was a very good holidays and we enjoyed it and would consider going back again"
