"I have just returned from 14 days in these apartments in menorca and had a lovely family holiday. I have a child of 4 and another of 11 and they had a great holiday as well. The childrens entertainers were brill, a different activity every hour during the day for children and adults, with a varyed programe in the evenings as well.
The apartments were kept very clean, with maids comming in every day except thur and sun. Clean bath towels when needed and with a small deposit you could hire towels for swimming so no need to take up any room in your suitcases with bulky towels.
All staff very friendly indeed.
Weather ranged from 42 to 35 while we were their and blue skys every day.
Beach a bit of a walk (about 15/20 mins with children) but when you get there its lovely.
Dident have a bad meal in any of the restruants, but not cheap. In some it was a bit hard to make yourself understood.
I hope this is of some help to you who are reading this, We had a great time and would return to these appartments again.
Have fun were ever you end up on holiday."

"I can only echo the positive comments that were made on here (and also previously helped us choose this hotel)
Clean, friendly and helpful, in all areas, the pool, the restaurant, the rooms.
We expected it to be a bit noisy or overcrowded as we went in Aug (but due to the weak pound it wasn't as full to capacity) but there my partner and I could chill as our 5 year old played and was entertained, (and you still got a lounger if you went down at 10.30am !!).
We went to the restaurants at the marina as suggested previously in these reviews, and we weren't disappointed. The marina is about a 15 min walk... with a tired 5 year old.
We didn't need to see much of the Rep except to book Somni the horse show which we all enjoyed.
Citudella. I visited alone and is charming and easy to get to, you pay 1.75 euros on the bus , the stop is round the corner from the entrance , but on returning you buy a ticket from the office in the place where you first got off, then present it to the bus driver and get off at Titanic park for Viva or the next stop is the marina, as I found out.
There is a nearby supermarket, though small, is well stocked and the cashiers are friendly.
I must admit to self cater was a wee bit difficult in the apartment. We had to microwave our water in the cups for our tea (we could have asked for something, but we couldn't be bothered ,too many other things to do) so take a mini kettle.
Meals were is from 3 euros for a child sausage and chips at Titanic park which catered for plainer appatites for the kiddies and roughly 25 euros for 3 (2 adults and child plus one beer and 2 juices) to 37 euros for Viva's reataurant (not inc 3 juices) which is great for grown ups, but for our little one whom is a well balanced eater, didn't take to, to 60 euros for el Negro's steak house on the marina which we all loved. (Plus visit Legends at marina too, the girls are lovely to chat to :) )
We had a small ant problem which was dealt with and the air con stuggled in the hotel at first too, there was a lot of comments about that but you can see the manager very easily as he is out and about everywhere.
Finally the Childrens entertainers at Viva have the patience of saints and are adored. Yves, Heidi, Lynn and Hannah are tireless and do a great job, which starts at 9 in the morning to late evening and do the stage shows too as well as going roung the pool selling strawberries and cream. Our little one adored them and we thought so highly of them and they are the best thing in Viva to me.
The shows at the hotel are worth catching. Chicago was good as was the Celtic dancers (one of which works at Legends restaurant!), and don't miss the acrobat troop 'African Footprints'
All in all we had a great holiday and will definetly book again.
Thanks for reading :D

"Our family of 2 Adults and 2 children aged 8 and 6 have just returned from a week at the viva menorca and had a great time. There is a lovely family friendly and safe atmosphere and the kids made great friends during our week there. We just wished we had been staying for 2 weeks rather than one.

The complex is very clean and rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels plus staff are contiually seen cleaning the pool area and other areas of the hotel.

We found the location perfect with 2 supermarkets just a 1 minute walk away that provided everything you counld want. The marina was just a 10 minute walk and was lovely. We enjoyed our evening meal there every night in a variety of the good choice of restaurants that were available.

Air conditioning a real benefit. Ours broke down one night but the next morning was completely replaced after reporting it to reception, we really couldn't have asked for better service.

The kids club was great with kids joining in as and when they wanted to and the evening entertainment (although a bit cheesy sometimes) was overall good fun and most families seemed to return to the hotel after eating to enjoy it.

The pool area was a real big hit with our kids and there were plenty of sunbeds. People did go down early to put towels on beds but there was always others available if you didn't do this.

We would thoroughly recommend the viva menorca apartments and will definately be returning."

"Just returned from the Viva Menorca Hotel, really enjoyed it and definitely consider going back there.

My comments are as follow:

Pros
• Clean and well maintained hotel with friendly staff

• A great entertaining crew who try to cheer you up every single night

• Plenty of sun beds available for everyone (we even didn’t use one as we enjoyed the clean and hot beaches which are not far away)

• Lots of supermarkets available near by.

• Not too many mosquitos as a few reviewers mentioned , perhaps we used the air con a lot !!

Cons

• As the hotel categorised as family resort, I was expecting to see at least one kids channel on their satellite TV, but there is none. In fact the number of English speaking channels are limited. If your kids are addicted to TV (just like my twins) worth to take a portable DVD player OR your laptop with you.

• Doors don’t have a normal lock that you usually see on top of the doors in hotel rooms. Those sorts of locks which allow you to open the door only for few inches (I am not sure what they call them). As the result of above fact we had to block the main door with suitcases /chairs etc as my playful two year old son always wanted to leave the flat !!!

And finally we hired a car and used it a lot. I strongly recommend to hire one while you are there. In summery a truly beautiful well maintained family resort, we definitely considering going back there in future.

"Just returned from the Viva Menorca Apartments after a 10 night holiday. Was apprehensive about some of the reviews, but needn't have worried. Found the apartments very spacious, loads of wardrobe space. The kitchen area was very adequate and had everything we needed. The apartments are set in very beautiful lush green surroundings and were very well-maintained.

Found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. The manager came to our welcome meeting even though it was his day off to tell us to ask if we had a problem with anything at all, of which we didn't. The rooms were well cleaned and so too was the pool area. Did not find getting a sunbed a problem as many of the reviews mentioned, I've been to much worse in the past.

The resort itself has a very good selection of restaurants set around a beautiful marina. The apartments are a 10 minute stroll away, the only downside is that the pavements let the resort down and are in need of much repair. There are two beaches, one which is quite a walk away, but we spent the whole of the holiday around the pool as it had everything we needed. The entertainment for the kids was well-organised. Children could join in the daily activities as and when they wanted. This is excellent for younger children up to 6, having said that my 9 year-old was never bored and enjoyed many of the activities.

The evening entertainment was varied and there was something for everyone to enjoy. The Freddie Mercury and Robbie Williams tributes were especially good.

There is a bus stop just around the corner from the apartments that takes you to Ciutadella in 10 minutes and costs 1.70 euros which is well worth a visit.

If I had to give any negatives at all, the only caution is to watch out for the mosquitos in the evening and take plently of repellent. In terms of value for money the resort is quite expensive, but having said that it still would not put me off returning.

Would definitely consider returning here again in the future.

"We had a lovely holiday at this aparthotel, the only reason I have rated this a 9 and not a 10 is because of the food. We always go Half Board and have never been disappointed until now. The food choice was minimal, the quality was poor (had to complain about undercooked meat), the food often cold or tepid and was very stark like eating in a canteen rather than a buffet restaurant, no gorgeous pudding displays like you normally get. So I would definately recommend self catering.
The rooms are two storeys high and are very clean and practical if a little on the small side. We had a room round the back so it was very quiet, best holiday sleep i have ever had.

The pool is very clean, plenty of sunbeds and parasols, no need to reserve them this time of year. The grounds are very green and pretty.

The entertainers work very hard to keep you entertained, but the childrens activities are not for very long so unlike Thompson Superfamily dont expect them to be gone for very long. The night time entertainment was usually of a good standard.

The resort of Calan Bosch was lovely, not too busy and not too quiet, lots for small children to do. I would definately come back to Calan Bosch but would choose a hotel nearer the Marina."

"Have had a fantastic holiday at Viva Menorca. We were a party of 4 (two kids aged 6 and 4) and went for 10 days. We all had a brilliant time and we would consider returning next year.

Lots of sun beds around pool and didn't need to reserve them, we did just so that we could sit at the shallow end of the pool to watch the children when they were in pool on their own, otherwise you just took your pick of beds when you finally got to the pool. We did see a change as it turned towards end of June into July, everyone who had just arrived started putting out their towels so we suddenly went from not needing to reserve sunbeds to having to get up to get a spot.

Rooms were clean and were made up 5 times a week with fresh towels if you put old towels in bath to indicate you need fresh towels. I'd advise to take a travel kettle if you have one, it's just two rings in apartment and it took a while to boil the water for a drink first thing in morning!!

Staff all very friendly, maids who cleaned rooms even tucked up the kids teddies in bed as she made them up! Waiters all friendly, especially Jimmy who was really friendly to our children. The entertainment girls (and lad) work really hard to keep children and adults entertained. They announce the activities that are happening and take the children away for 30/40 mins if they want to join in, if not then there's no pressure to take part.

We didn't eat at the hotel as there are so many places to eat at the Marina you are really spoilt for choice and it's a really good atmosphere at the restaurants and bars.

We had a brilliant time and can't fault anything... except mosquitos! They are everywhere and even using spray and plug in for the room we still got bitten, take lots of spray with you!

"Viva viva viva..... Fantastic apartments..... We loved them!!!

Just returned from a 1 week holiday with my family (Children 5 and 6). Can not fault the hotel or the staff at all, we had an amazing time. Plenty of entertainment all day long, my children don't real like to join in with the organised clubs however the entertainments staff didn't forget about them after the first time of saying "no"..... and gently kept asking if they'd like to join in and eventually they did a few times. However, there's no pressure. They loved the shows in the evenings. We met some lovely families with children of similar ages so they all had a ball. We never saw the FC reps, but for us that's not a bad thing!

Water park is only round the corner and is a must as lots of slides that the little ones can go on.... slightly cheaper if you go after 2.30pm

The Marina is a little walk away but only minutes really....we've been to Cala n Bosch 5 times now and would not hesitate to recommend or visit VIVA MENORCA again x "

"We've just arrived back from our 2 week stay and had a fab time! We had our 2 children (aged 1 + 4) and we had a 1 bedroom apartment. It was clean and reminded of a hotel - all you have to do is hang a notice on the door saying you'd like your room made up so I think ours was done every other day! The entertainment team were fantastic - our 4 year loved it. Everyone was very helpful and there was loads of sunbeds. The only drawback was the speed of the waiters - it took over 20 mins one evening to get a drink so most the time we went to the bar ourselves! The marina is just a 10 minute walk and you can cut down the side roads and enjoy the sea views on the way. If you've got a pushchair you'll have to carry it over a footbridge to get to a better selection of restaurants (or walk a long way round!). The Aquarium does great paella and fresh lobster. Wouldn't recommend the glass bottom boat as we didn't see any fish until we moored and they hung out some food so pretty uninspiring - it cost 43 Euros for 3.5 hours and would cheaper to hire a car! Oh, and don't forget baby wipes as it cost be 5.20 Euros for a pack!!"

"Really great hotel - clean, caters for everything and everyone. Nice pool, welcoming modern reception area, basic but clean and fairly well equipped rooms. Bar food was brilliant, nice and fresh. Entertainment every night, reps around all day to entertain the kids. Beach was a 10/15 min walk, restaurants by the marina was a 5 min walk. We were the only group there (3 young females) - the rest of the holiday makers were families or couples. Not a place to go clubbing but perfect for a chilled, quiet, relaxed holiday with lots of nice places to eat. Would definitely recommend it and would go back if I had children."

"Me, My Family And Friends Arrived Back From Viva Menorca In Cala n Bosch Menorca on the 19th may, We went in may last year too and we really miss it.
I would love to go back and work out there, as it is such a beautiful place and the people are so lovely.

Viva Menorca appartments are great, the rooms are very spacious and very clean, the swimming pool was lovely spent a lot of time around there. The evening entertainment was great which had acts such as grease and Robbie Williams, the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Cala n Bosch is also a lovely place, it has a beautiful marina just ten minutes walking distance down the road, which had lots of shops, bars and restuarants. The best bars and restuarants were Legends a british run bar, with british staff and British food, the food was great served with big portions and the desserts were lovely too, and also does full english breakfasts. The staff made us feel very welcome and were very helpful. And also the Fiesta restuarant was great too, it served mexican food which suited the men in our group.

We also spent a lot of time at the Titanic Park which is a 5 minute walk from viva menorca, we lounged around by the swimming pool there which had a big inflatable slide which kept us entertained too, It also had tramploines and a pool table. The staff were lovely as we met them last year and they remembered us. you could order your drinks and they would bring them out to you by the pool area, excellent food service as well.

On The saturday night we visited a new bar named 2 Rocks which had opened, which is run by the staff of the titanic park and they invited us to go along. This is a very modern bar, friendly staff and great for chilling out with a drink.

overall we had a great holiday in Cala n Bosch Menorca, and would definately recommend it and would definately visit again .
