lovely and clean, very impressed
"I went on a girls holiday with my mum and sister and we stayed here. I loved it!
It is a relatively small complex. The apartments are all on one level and are a good size for three people. The kitchen is tiny but we spent most of our time exploring and going on the Thomas Cook excursions. The apartment was cleaned frequently. I felt secure in that the sliding doors and windows were double glazed and lockable. The door was lockable by key and the window can be locked with a small padlock. Alsom we could see a little bit of sea from our apartment!
The pool is lovely and there are pool activites to keep the kids occupied, although my sister and myself joined in the water polo!
The nearest sandy beach is at the marina which can be accessed by a long but beautifully scenic walk which takes you past Cap D'Artreux and the lighthouse there. Another shorter walk will take you past the local shops and bars and is the road to follow for the water park.
It is very close to the bus stop to go into the city Ciutedella.
Loved the location- quiet enough to relax but enough to do if desired. The hotel bar was always quiet during the day and the food was quite expensive. I still ate there and was fine. The bar also sold ice cream which was a selling point. There was some loud bar entertainment at night time but that didn't really concern me.
The only negative things to stop it getting a 10 were that the games room was a bit neglected. Also, our apartment backed on to a road and the gate was broken. Not a problem for adults as the road is very quiet but could be a concern if you have small children. That said, there are other aprtments on the complex a good distance away from that road. Also, for some reason the fridge broke and the meat spoiled and they said they could do nothing about the food as it was not their responsibility.

"2 adults and 2 children thought this was a perfect place to go for a relaxing holiday.the apartments are basic but very clean and tidy, all staff are friendly and will try to help you if they can.the pool area is amazing and our children loved it and made friends very easily.
a lot can be said about the entertainment mainly that it was none existant, there was nothing on for the 2 weeks we were there .(although the big apple bar around the corner is a great place with shows on every other night).
it is a nice 15 minute walk to the resort centre where there are numerous bars and restaurants, and the goody goody park will keep the kids happy while you have a quite drink.all in all a very good holiday and YES we would go there again."

We stayed at Menorca Mar for a fortnight...
"We stayed at Menorca Mar for a fortnight and I can only give positives for my stay. The apartments are the only reason that the resort doesn't get 10/10 as they were slightly basic. This was made up for however, by the cleaning of the apartment every two days.
The pool area was fantastic and well maintained. (I would recommend looking out for the slippy surfaces however, as I found out on a slightly inebriated night when I slipped and went head first into the pool fully dressed- having said that it was 95% my fault and shouldn't worry you in the slightest- I only used slippy surfaces as an excuse!!).
The bar is well stocked and the staff are so friendly all day round.
There is an abundance of entertainment going on at the resort for the little ones with a nightly mini disco (also for some of the more daring parents) and party games.
There are a few restaurants in the immediate area but the beach is quite a while away. However, thankfully, you can hire out bicycles or even four man pedal cars for a good rate just outside the reception which provides an easy way of reaching the beach.
This fantastic place is thoroughly recommended. I would point out that when we went, the children were pre teens- I do feel that if we were to return there might be a lack of entertainment and things going on for them (they are 18 and 15) and they might be a bit bored.
A definite must for anyone with smaller pre-teen children or a childless couple though."

My wife and 7 month old son stayed here...
"My wife and 7 month old son stayed here in August 2007 and were pleasantly surprised.
The one-bedroom apartments are spacious enough, with decent serviceable furniture, a two-ring cooker and two wall-mounted fans (which you will probably need). The apartment was clean and comfortable.
The complex itself is quite nice and attractive, centred mainly around the very large pool. The bar area is fine with a restaurant that we didn't use (the smell of the cooking fat suggested unhealthily fried foods). Reception staff were helpful and seemed to be multi-lingual, indeed the clientele was quite varied as well (English, Dutch and German, and I think some Spanish too).
The complex is family-oriented - there are at least two sessions of activities for kids which receive varied support. There is some entertainment most evenings - if it's not your cup of tea you may wish to go out instead since it can be loud. Everything ends at a civilised time though.
Cala en Bosch itself is a 10-15 minute walk away, and it is uphill coming home. A good few bars and restaurants are there, ranging from the cheap and cheerful to the moderately priced. Es Tast de na Silvia is quite good, at the expensive end of the market. If that is too far away, there are 5 or 6 restaurants and a karaoke bar about 500 yards from the apartments. La Romantica is pretty good, the others standard. The supermarkets along here are more than adequate and competitive in price to the ones in Cala en Bosch.
We didn't go but there are beaches just past Cala en Bosch - you can get there by bus. We did go into Ciutadella which is the nearest big town but it was boring - boring shopping and touristy food.
We would definitely go here again although since we actually have four kids it will probably be impractical.

"Spent a week at these apartments. Pool area is fantastic and location is good. Nice walk into resort centre. Other holiday makers staying at the apartment were very friendly.
We arrived on the Monday - the bath and cooker were dirty and the shower was broken. On the Thursday I asked about the room being cleaned and asked for clean towels.
We found cleaning spray, rag, a bin bag and clean towels left outside our apartment - didn't know it was DIY!! New patio doors were fitted while there which was not a problem, however, they didn't clean up after the job was finished and we had to do this ourselves.
The place advertised nightly entertainment. Only 1 night out of the 7 had entertainment!
Everything aside we had a great holiday but would not return to these apartments.
Cala'n Bosch is lovely and plenty to do for all ages."

When we planned the holiday to Menorca m...
"When we planned the holiday to Menorca mar apartments we didnât know what to expect but everything was organised very well the transfer coach picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the apartments when we got there it was even better than we expected. The place was very welcoming and everyone there was very friendly.
We got a pool side apartment which was a bonus, the pool was huge but there are two smaller ones as well. There is entertainment every night from dancing to bingo, magic shows and quizzes also every night there is a mini disco for the children. Through out the day there are also plenty of things to do at the apartments such as cocktail games, football, rifle shooting, darks, pool and aqua gym. Out of the apartments there is a lot to do as well but to get to the main entertainment you have to walk down to the harbour which is about a 20 min walk or you can get the bus which stops right outside the apartments and runs every 10 minutes.
At the harbour thereâs a selection of restaurants such as Italian, Chinese, English, sea food and many more there is also plenty of bars surrounding the harbour. just around the corner from the harbour is the beach it is also small but it really nice the water is clear and the beach is clean they have a bar next to the beach and plenty of little shops around it. There is something to do for everyone when we went we went go carting which was a lot of fun, there are two water parks, thereâs goody, goody land for children with an arcade and swimming pool with slides and bouncy castles and thereâs mini golf. Also down at the harbour they do boat trips all around the island on a glass bottom boat, unfortunately we couldnât go on it because the sea was too rough.
if you was to go further out from Cala n Bosch you can catch the bus to the town called Cuitadella where they have big shops and lots of entertainment also on a Saturday they have a market which sells lots of jewelry and clothes. There is a karaoke bar around the corner from the apartments called the big apple you are guaranteed a good night and the staff are so friendly.
If you are planning on eating out there is a restaurant on the complex which does very nice food and there a pub called the crazy cow we had breakfast there every morning and ate there a few times in the evening and we never had a problem and the service was great. There are lots of internet cafes around and thereâs a computer in the bar at the complex. If anyone is looking for a fun and enjoyable family holiday I recommend this one is it great for all ages and you are guaranteed a good time."

"We stayed at the Nature Menorca Mar for one week in May 2006. We reckon it deserves more than 2 stars.
The apartments are basic but clean and comfortable and they get cleaned three times a week which is generous for self-catering! The complex has an excellent pool and poolside bar and restaurant and there's always loads going on for children near the bar so you can sit with a drink and let someone else do the work!
The only complaint that I have about the complex is that it's a good 20 minute walk from the centre of Cala'n Bosch which wasn't explained in the description. However, after a few nights this didn't bother us and it was a good opportunity to walk off dinner! There are a few bars and restaurants and a supermarket a few minutes walk from the complex too.
We would definitely stay here again!"
