Nice staff,needs updating,selfish guests.
"Just returned from Merinda gardens as family.Staff and maid lovely.needs updating.air con rubbish.had a blocked sink, reported a few times.eventually repairman came.Plugs hanging off walls.Shower needs good scrub&mending.balcony/terrace non existent.Other guests very selfish.Hotel has notices up about reserving sunbeds.Load of rubbish.Even though we went at 9am and all beds reserved with towels!if you want a bed go reserve one at 6am!Not enough seats for watching evening show.Food plentiful&nice.Lovely area near amenities&beach.water park good.Would return to Cala in Bosch just stay somewhere else!"

"This is a great place for a family holiday; there are activities for every age group, the location is good and accommodation and food good value. In this price range you could (and we have) done a lot worse. The apartments are a little dated but spacious and kept spotlessly clean. We got what we requested - a first floor apartment away from the entertainment area - although we did have to wait two hours for it. The reception staff were very helpful, the gardening staff and waiting staff efficient and tireless and Lorena's entertainment team were the friendliest, funniest and most professional we've ever come across (although I do agree with comments on this site about the relentless and tasteless poolside music). We did feel the hotel struggled a little in our second week as it reached capacity - the atmosphere soured as people began to fight over sunbeds (many of which were broken) and tables in the evening. Actually, the worst thing about the hotel was the people staying in it. I'd like to make particular mention of the woman who barged my four year old boy and his cup out of her way when he couldn't operate the drinks machine fast enough for her liking and the man who took all six of the last fried eggs for himself in front of my five year old daughter. Also worth a mention; the couple who encouraged their son to wee in a glass despite the poolside toilets, then left the glass to be collected and recycled by the bar staff. Delightful! Other people were lovely however. Aquarock water park was fab and a good fall-back when the very nice hotel pool got crowded, and the Marina was beautiful day and night. Chaplins bar deserves a mention for the incredibly friendly service. The beach is lovely but we preferred the less crowded beaches we reached by hire car, especially the spectacular Cala Galdana, Mitjaneta and Cavalleria with its red sand. Worth avoiding - Amigos boat cruises (which should be renamed 'give us your money and we'll give you the experience of a hundred people vomiting in unison') and the Parrot man (Sunday night's entertainer)who shouted in my face when I politely declined to buy the photograph he'd taken of my children which I hadn't seen and for which he wanted more money than we paid for two children's meals at Chaplins or any activity on or off the hotel complex. On the whole however, this was a great experience and we would go to a Garden hotel again."

best holiday ever!
"please, please pay no heed to bad reviews! My partner and our 2 daughters aged 12 and 4 have just returned from week half board and we had a fantastic holiday!Rooms a little dated but perfectly adequate and have great air conditioning;rooms cleaned 5 times a week. All staff pleasant and helpful.food choice is excellent although could be better for kids.breakfast and lunch were included in half board but we were able to swap dinner for lunch if thats what we wanted.entertainment staff amazing, esp Kiki!!!very kid orientated, not a place for revellers.pool area is clean, safe and there are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available.free access to waterpark which is brilliant, would have cost us around 56 euros otherwise;though you still have to pay 3 euros per sunbed.a great day out.we had a ground floor apartment which i was a bit concerned about after reading reviews but it was absolutley fine.great location,5 mins walk to the marina which is beautiful and 10 mins walk to the beach.goody goody park is worth a visit, has splash pool, bouncy castle, play frame etc.cost 12 euro per child for full day with access to everything and price includes meal and drink.all in all,it was a fantastic holiday;we enjoyed it so much that we have already booked for next year!!!TIP:better value to go all inclusive, drinks on site quite expensive!"

"Miranda Gardens has loads to do for young children and familys it sits 200 yards from the marina and theres lots of resturants on the strip. the rooms are very spacious and really clean and the food is fantastic with loads of choice for fussy eaters . I loved this holiday as the entertainment and kids club staff were outstanding and made my holiday really enjoyable . I read a couple of reviews before i went and i completly disagree with them . We all had a fantastic time and hope to return next year.xx"

"Stayed here, all inclusive for 7 nights over kids school holiday. 4 parents, 2 six year olds and 1 nine year old. The food was great, plenty of choice and snacks and drinks for the kids flowed all day. The drinks for parents were ok, house spirits and the beer was San Miguel (although I never managed to get very drunk on it). The activities for kids and parents day and night was non stop and the entertainment staff had an unbelievable amount of energy and they really made the holiday. The pool was plenty big enough and there was a water park which was good and clean (normal entry would be â¬18 for 1 adult and â¬10 for kids each) but for all inclusive was free. Unlike turkey, we were not ill, no ear ache, sickness or diahorea. The apartments were ok, cleaned 5 time a week although our bathroom did smell a bit (probably due to a poor connection on back of toilet - however we did not complain as we were too busy. Did not eat out but went to beach (â¬18 for 2 sunbeds). Our only concern was that the complex was only half full, if there were twice as many people there I could not vouch for the service. Would definitely recommend at this time of year."

Basic but clean
"we have just returned from the marinder gardens, we did have a good time but agree with lots of other reviewers, the room was on the first floor and basic but clean and the maid service was excellent, the air conditioning was very poor and considerating is was over 100 degrees something we needed to work. As we were leaving at 4.30p.m. we asked to keep our apartment on until 4.00 for a cost of 20 euros, we were told by one member of reception staff it wasn't possible and would have to leave the room at 10.00 just be chance we asked again and another receptionist said it was fine and we were able to use the room this inconsistency is very annoying. If self-catering the drinks and meals in the complex are very expensive 5 euros for 2 small lagers."

Not enough head ache tablets in the world.
"We have just returned from a week at the marinda gardens in Cala'n Bosch and we wont be returning. The actual apartment was fine, spacious enough for the 4 of us although a little dated, well kept and clean, however the air con was very weak to non existent. We were glad to have an upper floor as it meant we had a private balcony unlike the downstairs rooms which either had a very enclosed small patio or were directly onto the path with no privacy at all. Not much in the way of storage, lacking in drawer space. we were set back from the main entertainment area but this didnt stop us from hearing all the noise coming from there every night. We were very thankful that we had free water park tickets because the marinda pool was chaos, music at full blast so it was impossible to relax. Staff did make an effort to entertain but they did pester you at times to join in. There are no language barriers and the reception staff very helpful. All the outside areas are kept very clean. It is within walking distance to the beach, which is beautiful, and marina which is where the restaurants (recommend Chaplins, very friendly and good food at reasonable price) and (very few) shops are. Glad we only went for a week, there isnt alot to see and do in Cala'n Bosch and we only had enough head ache tablets for one week."

"Just returned from 11 nights at marinda gardens ,had a brilliant time with both the kids and adults entertained by a very good entertainments team during the day and the night .We stayed self catering but from reports we got from outher people the food was nice ,i would recomend taking the drinks upgrade that is offerd to you on arrival which was 80 euro for adults and 40 for kids which includes ice creams aswell as slush for everyone ,we must have got double for the money we paid if not more . The rooms are clean but basic but us as a family are not in the rooms much ,and the cleaners came in every day except sunday and they made a good job of them . The water park is good for the kids as the slides are not that big so my 6yr old could go on them on her own ."

Amazing holiday !!
"Me and my family (2 adults and 2 children) just came back from a really good and fun filled 2-week holiday from Marinda Gardens aparthotels. The entertainment team were absolutely BRILLIANT, and i hope they will be there next year, and arent different people, as we are willing to go back and enjoy anothe 2 weeks with there brilliant work and cooperation with both adults and kids during day and night activities!!!!! the Food in the restaurant on the complex was okay-good, and the drinks supply of non-alcoholic and alcoholic was very good. the only down side to the holiday was the air condtioning in the room, as it isn't very powerful, but then again your not on holiday to spend time in your room, so it wasn't much of a bother. all the staff were very friendly. I most certainly cannot wait to return to Marinda gardens, cala n bosch in 2012 =)"

"We stayed at Marinda gardens in may 2011, all inclusive, there were 10 in our party so we had 3 rooms.they were basic the cleaners did a brilliant job but it ends there.on arrival i phoned reception for bedding for the childrens beds & was told to come & get it!!! swimwear was stolen off the lines from 2 of the rooms, the food was cold, when we complained we were told to warm it in a microwave,( reheat egs!!), fresh food was poured into the food that had been stood on the hot plates, the staff were not very helpful, the pooltables were not working on arrival nor 5 days later, one night there was no water in the public toilets, the list goes on.. "just got back from a weeks holiday at marinda gardens 26/6/11-3/7/11 and i have got to say i was really pleased with the entire experience especially after reading some peoples comments on here. for a start we received one of the friendliest welcomes to a hotel ever and that friendly atmosphere was continued through out our entire stay by the staff their. the rooms are basic but more than adequate and anyway who goes on holiday to stay in their rooms????? we went on a self catering basis but once we got their upgraded to all inclusive we paid 370 euros for 2 adults and our children aged 4 and 2 they didnt charge us for which in my opinion is an absolute bargain, the food was fantastic all week with a wide variety at breakfast, lunch and dinner. the entertainment team at the hotel were excellent at getting adults and children involved in day and evening activities. excellent holiday and would recommend it to anyone. worst accomadation i've ever had
"just back from the marinda gardens hotel 24/06/11-01/07/11 can honestly say this is the worst hotel i have ever been in , the service ,the food ,the condition, everything was very poor ,the place was over ran by ants ,we had beetles and there was birds nesting in the space above the false bathroom ceiling .it took two days for them to supply a kettle and the phone still hadn,t been fixed when we left after the week ,we had asked them about it on the second day, when i say about the ants they were actually comming out of the power points in the room as for the food we sent back meatballs that were still pink in the middle and i dont have enough space to go into the food. the rooms have very bad lighting and the air conditioning is bad , cala n bosch is a great resort dont waste it by staying here"
