3 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
After booking our holiday as a late deal...
"After booking our holiday as a late deal we looked at some of the reviews on line and they where all very good so we thought, great!
A lot of the points that other people have pointed out are very true but there are other things that we where a bit upset with!
When we arrived at the resort we where given our room keys to room number 1056 and off we went to our room, The park gardens is a little walk from Reception and is up a little hill so good luck if you have a large suit case. When we got to our room we had a look round and it looked Great, The balcony over looked the pool and it was a large one with loads of room. But after being in the room for a few minutes we noticed we had no Aircon, no fridge, no TV and no hot water!
So after 7 Visits to reception we finally got the Air Con working. We stayed in this room for the night as we where so tired and just wanted to get our head down. But at about 2 in the morning you can here a load banging (Only from this room 1056) which is coming from the pool pump room, so if you get room keys for 1056 ask to change! The next day we got moved to another room and this was fine, and like every body else has said Basic but clean.
Menorca is great and Cala N Bosch is lovely so many places to eat out and the food is all very nice, A few places you must try are the Steak House and I think its called El Pedo both do lovely menus.
Well even with the bit of bad luck we had at the start of our holiday we would go back and the weather was great was on average 44 all week, so cover your kids up well."

We stayed at the Park Garden in a 2 bedr...
"We stayed at the Park Garden in a 2 bedroom apartment with our three boys aged 10,7 and 5. I would thoroughly recommend both the apartments and the resort to anyone with children.
The apartment itself was quite basic but clean and fine for the amount of time spent indoors! The maid service was particularly good as the rooms were cleaned nearly every day (including fresh towels). The swimming pool area was clean and well kept. There were always plenty of available sunbeds (even in August) without having to get up at 5.00am to put towels on them!!!
Cala 'n' Bosch was a lovely resort (just a short walk across one road!) with loads of restaurants to choose from and great for the kids too. The resort really comes alive at night (although as soon as you get back to the apartments peace is restored for a good nights sleep!)
We will definitely return to Menorca, in fact we are thinking of booking the same apartments again this August."

Stayed at the Park Gardens with my Husba...
"Stayed at the Park Gardens with my Husband, our two children 14, and 15 and they each took a friend. We chose the Park Garden because it was close to Cala'n Bosch resort and we wanted to be able to give the children a certain amount of freedom without having to worry about them walking a long way into town or catching a cab. Holiday was brilliant. Apartments were what we expected. Cosmos 3 key, not the Ritz but clean and looked after. Second bedroom very small and questionable amount of storage space for 6 people but we managed and it wasn't too bad. We were in an apartment overlooking the pool and had a nice large patio. Arrived when it was dark and there were quite a few ants running up the walls which I did not like. However, we bought some ant spray and were not bothered by them. Camp bed for 6th person was not comfortable and I asked for a mattress on the first night, not really expecting one, when we came back from a wander around the town, there was a brand new one leaning up against the wall. Maids were regular. Sheets and towels changed a lot although some of the sheets have seen better days. The air conditioning in the lounge area was a godsend. We actually took our aircon tag off the key fob and kept the aircon on. Probably frowned on but we did it anyway.
Entertainment was very good (kids enjoyed it anyway) and all the entertainment team were friendly and organised lots of things to do. No pressure to join in. Wouldn't say quite the same about the reception staff but they were polite.
Cala'n Bosch is a lovely resort, loads of nice restaurants and the harbour is lovely. Wish they would replace the man that serenades you for dinner in the bandstand. His voice is so awful I think he must own the place, it's the only way he would be allowed to stay!
Park Garden shares its facilities with the Lago Garden. All the evening entertainment is at Lago so if you prefer a quieter apartment then ask for Park Garden.
The Barman at the pool bar in Park Garden makes wicked sangria (if he is still there). Far superior to the stuff they give you in the restaurants. The real thing. Great for happy hour.
Only downside is that we left our beach towels to dry on the patio, as you do. Had five or six stolen. Since heard that this is quite common in Menorca. Apparently Gypsies tour round the resorts at night, stealing towels etc that are left out.
This was our second visit to Cala'n Bosch. Sure it wont be our last and we wouldn't hesitate to go back to these apartments again.
