nice and quiet with a few buts
"Been here before so i thought i new what to expect basic but clean apartments rooms now could do with a new paint job as a little dim and the doors slamming and moving of furniture is very very loud, no entertainment or sat BBQ on offer either only about 30 people on site so it could have been even louder the reception staff pleasant and helpful cold pool when you first dip your toe in but its refreshing once your totally in (we went 1 Oct 13 still nice and hot.) beach only 5 minutes away down small hill. can just manage to get a spot away from sunbeds and bar expensive on beach be careful when going in sea its quite rocky just as you go in water
however nothing much has opened this year the Thompson rep told us the main shopping area had closed down in 2012 as had the nearest pub Churchill's and Chinese restaurant so having my disabled mum with me it was near impossible for her to leave the complex without going in a taxi into Cala Forcat at a cost of 7 euro each way the paths outside are impossible to walk on so use the road l know its not the fault of the apartments but put a dampener on the whole of the holiday(( i loved this place first time around but there's not a lot of choice now and I'm not sure we'll return ))loved Frankie's bar last time but now they have two hours of bingo every night not our cup of tea. Fantastic holiday very recommended
"This was are first time to vista Blanes and first real family holiday out of UK we loved it 8 of us went 2 adults and 6 children of all different ages and not one of us had any complaints the staff are lovely and the whole place is spotless nothing is to much trouble the shopping place is about 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes walk to the bus stop and 1 euro for the bus journey. We will definitely be returning its just perfect the beach is 2 minutes walk and beautiful everything you need. The food on site is very good value for money and lots of it you will not walk away hungry and the entertainment and waiting staff are very friendly and again nothing to much trouble. The pool is cleaned almost every night it's cold when you first get in but it takes seconds to get used to it and then it does the job and cools you down. Thanks vista Blanes for the perfect holiday we will see you again soon "

great holiday for nthe money
"we that is my husband and i and my sister and brother in law stayed at the vista blanes appartments in July of 2012 and we were very surprised. We have been to many holiday destinations over the last 15 years and we have always stayed in timeshares.Five years ago we started to book holidays for the money that we would of spent We always go self catering and yes the appartment that we stayed in was worth every penny the place was clean and tidy the bedrooms were large we had a top appartment facing the childrens play area the maids cleaned the appartment thorouly when they did come in as we did seem to brush the place alot the pool is quite spasious and yes if it was bigger then it would be even better. The shop caters for everyones needs. The bar does good food and snacks but that is all what it is , we found Mr Beps is a must and you wont be disappointed there are good resturants 20 minutes up the road if you want a good british sunday roast then go to churchills on the rounabout or you could catch a bus and go into citterdella it is beautiful get of the bus and head across the square to the cafes and restuarants on the quay these are set back under the road that you have just walked on amazing We went and so the dancing horses[that is what we called them] we paid for the vip deal this is na must you wont be disappointed take your camera as you will be gob smacked dont know what else to say except that we will returing again this year

a good 20 min walk from the main shopping area ,
"The vista blanes apartments are a what you pay for , though to be honest you would be better booking the talyout apartments , the entertainment was ok nothing to write home about , the great thing about these apartments is the beach on the door step if thats your thing , rooms are very basic, clean , no tv , shop on site is lovely and not bad priced , my main problem is the location , the shops agua centre and restaurants are a good 20 min walk, i wouldnt stop at the vista blanes again , not when the talyout apartments are as cheap and only 5 mins from restaurants , 10 mins to the beach best of both worlds .. also take some ear drops , ear infections are happened alot in vista blanes "

Cheap and Cheerful
"We visited this complex 6th-20th Jult 2012. Having advised Thomson that I was disabled, we arrived to find our apartment block was the farthest possible from the reception area and also up four flights of stairs! Once pointed out to the reception staff, they did offer us another studio which was reached via two flights of stairs. We asked if a ground floor location was available but they advised these were only one bedroomed units. We offered to pay for an upgrade but they advised non were available.
During our two week stay, the sheets and towels were changed only twice. The Staff were excellent and very friendly. They did everything they could do to help. In particular a receptionist called Nadine who was marvellous.
Overall, you get what you pay for."

dirty and dissapointing
"we arrived about 8.45pm and were handed a piece of paper with directions to our appartment,on going in we decided to dump our cases and get something to eat as it was late then come back and sleep,i went in the bedroom and pulled the bedding back to air the beds for our return only to find on doing so that they were covered in human hair needless to say i slept on the sofa that night.Next morning we explored our appartment and urrgh the bath had sludge and bugs in it after cleaning it we found there was no enamel on the bottom of the bath...ouch, the shower rail was so rusty that when you pulled the curtain back you got covered in rust, there was a hole in the wall the toilet was broken and the strip light above the sink was at least half an inch in grime,oh and the toilet roll holder well lets put it this way we got our own loo roll to use, on moving a cabinet in the living room we found a cockroach, well i went to reception and was told 1.we dont have cockroaches and 2. the appartment had been cleaned. We decided to cook 1 night and after my husband had eventually managed to get the pans off the shelf they were welded to because of the muck didnt do so again,On 3 seperate occaisions i spoke to our rep and asked for a complaint form she simply was not interested and i have had to go in to the shop on the day of my return armed with lots of photo,s. to make a complaint. If you want a holiday on comparrison with roughing it and dont mind dirty places then this is for you ,we have stayed just up the road at the tallyott wich is the same key rating and have to say there is simply no comparison my holiday was horrible and i would not go here again and this is our fith year to this part of the island all i can say is avoid this place"

"This year was the fifth year there, staff are fantastic, the two Carolines on reception are extremely helpful, Astrid is fantastic, with the activities being at their best since I have been going.
The bar terrace food is fantastic and the staff are brilliant.
The Robbie Williams tribute is out of this world, good guy, with a great voice, not too be missed.
Don't use the sunbeds on the beach - very expensive
All in all we will be back next year.
thank you all for a fantastic holiday xxx

"I was very surpised when we arrived at Vista Blanes to be given a voucher for a free drink because we could not check into our room straight away - nice touch!
There were three of us two adults and one 16 year old son!
The other surprise was to find the two bedroom apartment also had two bathrooms (no mention of this in the Thomson or First Choice brochures). The apartment was well equipped, clean and tidy. Mades came in three times a week to change bed linen etc.
If I had to have a moan about the Vista Blanes at all it would be that for the amount of apartments there are in the complext the pool is not big enough and the sun terraces are not big enough!
We ate at the Pirate Bar quite a lot - food was lovely and Sergio and his colleagues could not have been nicer.
My favourite place to eat though would have to be Es Pitus just round the corner from the apartment complex - the saff were great and the food was lovely. Bianco's on "the strip" was nice as well but Es Pitus was definately our favourite.
I would say that on average our meals were about 10 euros more expense than when we were in Menorca in 2009 but you get what you pay for and you are on your holidays aftetall!
Some people have made comments about the entertainment at the pool during the day - all I can say is that there wasn't any! In the whole two weeks we were there I think water polo was played once and "killer pool" about eight times. The evening entertainment was a bit better I hasten to add.
Had a great holiday - just a pity the weather was not a little bit better, it was overcast for the last three days!

Just what the doctor ordered!!
"Just returned from Vista Blanes Apartments and had the best week ever. Went with my husband and we both needed a week of doing nothing and this is what we did. Lovely apartment, lovely pool, quiet place, the only down side was the nearest town was approx 20 minutes walk but other than that want to go back ASAP. Would suit couples or families who want a relaxing week. "

Just the facts
"The only bad thing about Vista Blanes i would say is that the pool was far to cold me, a few other people and for kids. Other than that the food is good price and very tasty also the barbecue on a Saturday is out of this world. The staff are helpful and friendly, the entertainment from Astrid was excellent not only for kids but for adults as well (all day everyday) Robbie Tribute on a Tuesday is outstanding and will definitely make your holiday more enjoyable. If u want a good breakfast and good food Churchills pub is 2 minutes from the apartments at a really good price run by richard and ian and keith the chef.
If you want a cheap shop theres a street across from churchills go down there and its cheaper than any other.
also theres a place there called Es Pitus which does great food for the family and has a small kid's room. Cuitadella is great for shopping and has a market in the square on a Friday and Saturday. Cala n Forcat is also very good for food as it has the Bianco restaurant which is good value for money. It also has a square which has entertainment every night of the week.
We will be looking at going back next year as we had such a great time and the staff were so friendly. Also at Vista Blanes the rep charlotte is amazing and very very helpful with everything.

Enjoyed our stay but needed a car.
"Apartment was great, clean and comfortable. All prices in supermarkets and restaurants are not cheap and very hard to find reasonably priced Spanish food as everything is English and with chips! Arrived the first day of the season 1st May and everywhere was very quiet with only a handful of people walking around the town and they were Spanish on holiday. Livened up our 2nd week but still very quiet. The local beaches are not very good and very small so we hired a car and found glorious beaches within 10 - 35 mins drive away - well worth it. Try and get a deal with the car because everywhere is really struggling with no customers. The reason for the high prices is because there is so much half board or all inclusive which is ruining the shops etc. Quite understand going all inclusive because we spent a lot on food etc so it worked out more expensive. Overall a good place to stay if you want it a bit lively of a night (it's not Magaluf so I mean a bit of music) because all other resorts we visited only had hotels with entertainment plus a couple of supermarkets and bars - very quiet. Don't visit if you want glorious beach. Go to Cala Galdana, Santa Tomas, Son Bou."
