10 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
Very good holiday
"When we booked the hotel we read the reviews beforehand and were aware that this hotel was mainly for germans, however, once the bar staff, restaurant staff and animation team knew we were the only 'brits' in the hotel complex they spoke in english and tried to involve us in all activities. Our 9 year old son joined in the activities, won certificates and even learned some german to boot. This is a very good hotel, nipping clean, the staff were excellent and the food was tremendous with plenty of choice unless you are really a fussy eater. It depends what you are looking for in a holiday, we go on holiday to relax and unwind and this was perfect for that. There was no fighting for sunbeds and no rowdiness. All in all a very good holiday."

only for germans!!!
"The hotel is aimed at german's, we were the only english their, the food and entertainment is all german too! It was a shame as my son wanted to go play with the other children but couldnt understand what they were saying. The hotel itself is lovely and clean, pool was nice too! I asked to change rooms after our first night as our room was next to the bar, their was also an english bar the other side and the main road behind, it was just too loud to get too sleep! No problems with changing rooms the staff were very helpful! We went to the beach most days its only a short walk and has lovely white sand! Sun loungers are 4.50 euros each and the same for an umberella, we took a picnic blanket but got the umberella to shade the kids as it was very hot! Lady selling fruit from her wheelbarrow was good but expensive! As we didnt like the food at the hotel much we went out a few times, the kings head was not bad although a pint of flat guinness cost 4.50 euros!!! See the specials board cos it can be expensive otherwise! Their is a train that takes you round for 3.00 euros, time table in reception at hotel! If your english I would not go to this hotel but its perfect for german families, all kids discos and entertainment is in german!!! Hope this helps"

Nice hotel but only German speaking.
"Arrived at Torre Blanca and was pleasently surprised. The hotel was lovely and spotlessly clean. The pool was large with a beautiful water fountain that the kids could jump from. Hotel staff were very nice and friendly. The rooms were ok. We had a 1 bed apt with a huge double bed in the bedroom and a single pull out and sofa in the lounge. Not huge but then your not in your room all day! The food in my opinion was fantastic! Restaurant was very very clean. A varied option of food throughout the day. Lovely salads, meats, soup, pastries, hot food. the kids loved the food. The children's entertainment??? well unless u speak German not good. I took my 2 daughters who were 8 and 5. Very friendly and busy but the guy spoke nothing but german despite knowing my 2 girls were english and couldn't understand a word he was saying ha! They stayed for about half an hour and didn't want to go back anymore. I would say this hotel is about 80% german. The entertainment in the evening was also spoken in german and spanish only! so found we were going out in the evenings after dinner. Found a great pub called the Kings Head where they do dances with the kids, have tribute bands and karaoke. I would recommend setting your alarm for about 6.30-7.00am to go and put a towel on a sunbed! honestly. I understand them getting a sunbed if your not up early enough yourself. but they must have been putting them on about 5am, going back to bed, going out for the morning and then coming back! There is a note on the hotel saying that you can take towels to the reception if beds are not being used. Other than that it was a very nice hotel but would not go back again. Sa Coma is nice but very very small. Drove past Porto Cristo on way homeand it looked stunning. A better option I think. They have El Rancho in Sa Coma where adults and kids can ride on horses and poines through the woods. Lovely and only 5 euros for half an hour. Also went to the Safari Zoo which was ok! for something to do."

you get what you pay for
"we stayed at the hotel for 12 days, with all inclusive. the food, was not outstanding, but good. some days i couldnt nothing at all, but it was a great supermarket near by. all inclusive offers softdrink, pepsi, seven up etc, to the kids, nice beer to daddy, red wine for mum, and local, (very nice) alcoholic drinks in the evening. We had a nice room, clean. the town Sa Coma, is boring, but we rented a car, so in the evening we drove to Manacor, and shopped, eated. etc. The kids loved it. one boy age 5 and daugther aged 4. for all this, included renting a car, and the plainticket for 4 people, we payed 16000 danish crowns or about 2150 euros. I think thats cheap, and yes we would go back next year. and we got some experience, so we will take some more stuff with us from Denmark. not a place for young people who would like to look at young beautifull people and party, but for young families, i think it was great. it is most German, dutch, and some danish people staying there. I didnt met any english."

One night , One Language
"We were forced to stop here when the Canarios Park Hotel was overbooked. We stayed one night and found the facilities to be adequate. Our Room had sliding doors that looked down a busy communal path. Thus we had to keep the curtains drawn all the time. The pool was very deep but parents DID NOT keep an eye on their children, Sunbathing was a hazard as you would constantly get splashed by rude children. The food was geared towards the German market and as such was a little repetetive for my tastes. The sun loungers were VERY comfy The bar staff were very good and served good drinks Next door is a British bar "The Mariners". Looked to serve good food and it had the football on :-) Overall, A perfect place to stay in Majorca if you're a German or German speaker looking for a nice break."

Super Torre Blanca
"We had two great weeks in the spring of 2007 - the hotel offers good food, nice rooms, friendly service and a great pool area - which at the time was not crowded at all. The Solino Club was great for the kids. All in all a place we would like to return to and definately a place we will recommend."

"nice enough grounds with big enough pool .parks ok but a bit out of the way if your in the main grounds around pool and restaurant.food was ok but not fantastic , no real bacon or fried eggs for breakfast and got sick of ham and cheese sarnys through the day.bony chops and knuckles for ribs was the norm. a better cut of meat would have made the meals because everything else that went with it was nice. bar shuts bang on 12 but that was good as it is a family place. had a good holiday and sa coma is a nice place but would have to learn german to go back to this hotel."

Loved the Torre Blanca
"This was a lovely complex with 2 roomed apartments sleeps 4. The pool was on a split level with childrens bit cornered off at end. It was very clean and the cleaners were in 5days a week for the rooms and did round complex every day. Most of the people staying were German but there were also English there too. The all inclusive drink and food was fab you could get any kind of drink and it was all included, the kids could help themselves to the soft drinks on tap and tea/coffee/hot choc machine too. Ice cream freezer there for kids and adults to help themselves. The meals at resteraunt were really good and pleanty choice and variety every day. We stayed there 10 nights and it was really good hardly ate same thing twice. The hotel staff organised activities daily so pleanty to join in with if you wanted or just laze by the pool. My only complaint would be the snack bar as this was mainly left over food from the resteraunt and no hot dogs/burgers for kids but pleanty cheeses, ham and bread or cakes in afternoon. Oh and if you book for the Oct hols as we did they tend to be closing things down and they took the pool table away on the 2nd last day before we left so the kids were gutted. I would go back to stay there again as really enjoyed it."

Loved it, loved it, loved it!!
"We were changed from the Canarios Park which was a godsend because the reviews on here were TERRIBLE!!! I was trying to work out how to cancel without losing our money when the travel agent rang to say the Canarios Park was closing for winter and the Torre Blanca was the alternative. Well............ we had such a great time! Ok we were lucky with the weather for this time of year, it was hot hot hot but the hotel was great. The food was excellent, the facilities great and the staff, especially the entertainment team, were brilliant. Our 14 year old twin boys who normally fight like cat and dog, didnt moan once, about being bored, hungry, thirsty or fed up with each other. The pool was clean and surrounding area as well and there were plenty of sunbeds. Sa Coma is a lovely little town with lots of really friendly bars and my husband and I were able to have some quality time on our own in the safe knowledge that the boys were being well entertained. We will be going back."
