"The hotel is in need of updating. There is no air conditioning; this is a must for a good night's sleep! Even with a sea facing room very little breeze enters the room. Do not book a non sea facing room - these are hot with no views.
The views from the sea facing rooms are very good - this is a plus point.
The rooms are small, basic and clean. There are no tea making facilities. The lift is tempramental!
The reception staff are helpful. The breakfast waiter was sullen and inefficient. Running out of cups, plates and orange juice. The breakfast itself was basic with limited choice.
The resort itself has begun to deteriorate with unfinished buildings and rubbish; plastic bottles and bags strewn around recycling bins.
The beaches are nice and fairly clean. Again there is some evidence of litter along the sea shore. The beach at Calla San Vincente - Mollins beach - is nice and clean with clear water and dramatic coastline. 10 mins on the bus from Puerto Pollensa. Take your snorkell. The umbrellas etc. for two cost 11 euros, which is expensive.
A fairly good choice of places to eat - Trio's - good tourist menu and reasonably priced -33 euros for a 3 course meal with wine etc. for two.
Pay an evening visit to the Pub Imperial - a small and friendly bar with entertainment (Tony the waiter is well known to regulars!)
The local bus service s very good and cheap - Pollensa old town is worth a visit.
Do not book your transfer with Resorthoppa - 2 hours 10 mins return transfer time - awful!

The Capri is a small and friendly hotel...
"The Capri is a small and friendly hotel which is kept very clean it is in a great position right on the sea front and a short walk from a bus station which lets you travel around the island at alow cost compared to the tour prices.
There are plenty of places to eat to sute everyone and at reasonable prices the hotel also has a good menu which brings me to a big plus for the CAPRI it is its breakfast there is everything anyone could want from simple to the full English all self service so you can eat as moch as you want great value
The harbour is also just a short walk along the prom where you can get a ferry to Formentor a good day out
Now let me tell you about the downside to the Capri Hotel it does not have air-con in the bedrooms which makes them very hot although they do provide a fan but its not the same and if you have not booked a room with a balcony you will have no view from your bedroom window you look onto another hotels side wall not what you want on holiday overall the holiday was good but we had a balcony but it need air-con."

"The resort is very pleasant and the hotel is in an excellent position.
It is also clean and reasonably comfortable with pleasant staff. However, it has a major drawback in that the only rooms worth having are those with a balcony.
Unfortunately, there are only 6 of these at the front with a sea view (out of about 29) and maybe 4 facing a back street. ALL other rooms face a very tiny inner courtyard with unattractive features such as noisy air conditioning equipment and the back of the kitchen (+ attendant noise). The rooms on the lower floors in particular are dark and stuffy (there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms) and one bedroom on each floor opens directly onto a wall less than 2 feet away, and is therefore permanently gloomy and airless.
The hotel is reasonably priced and, providing the situation regarding the position of the rooms is known at the time of booking, it might represent a satisfactory choice if centrally positioned accommodation is the prime concern."
