Don`t go by all the old bad feed back on this hotel
"We found the hotel very good value for money (THIS IS NOT A 4/5 STAR HOTEL AS SOME PEOPLE MAY THINK)no maid service on a Thurs & Sun, the food was good with plenty of choice, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff helpful and friendly, good location for beach & marina (2 min walk) Only down side Irish bar (The SHAMROCK) next to the hotel very noisy, sometimes till 4/5 in the morning, but this is not the fault of the hotel. All in all a good value hotel. "

Good holiday hotel without the frills.
"We had a lovely week at this hotel. Staff were very helpful, and in some departments overworked. Could have used more help in Restaurant and Bar. Food was plentiful, and a good selection. Lots of salads, fresh fruit, and well cooked variety of meats.
Our room was clean and attended daily, (we had a disabled room on 1st floor), with walk in shower - although if I had been in a wheelchair it would have been impossible to access this facility.
No complaints - if you book a three star hotel, you have to be realistic.
We enjoyed our stay and would go again."

an expensive nightmare
"I stayed here a few years ago with my partner and our grandchildren.....it was the worst experience I have had a holiday from hell and it seems nothing has changed.....we were in one small room a double bed and two singles there wasn't room to even put the suitcases down....it was clean and the food very average but we didn't stay around very much as it was so small and built up. The pool was tiny and there was a splash pool which whilst we stayed was taken over by bullies ( all added to the nightmare) please find somewhere else to stay it really was that bad."

"We went to the hotel Piscis Alcudia, pool was tiny and rammed with young children getting pushed in and injured!the water from the machine was warm and no air con in the dinner place.the turkey was pink so non of our family ate it. unfortunately all of the family (two adults and two children) came down with the sickness bug which was vile!the floors were not cleaned AT ALL and there was a slice of pizza in the hall way which was there for all of our holiday which attracted cockroaches, mosquitoes and many more bugs!!!!beer was served in a plastic cup even at night and had a horrible taste. the sandwiches were disgusting and my daughter didn't have any of the food as it was all disgusting. also i will mention that the a and e in old town Alcudia was not busy which was a bonus but that was the only good thing about it as they didn't speak a word of English and the doctor tried to translate it on Google!!! the rooms were tiny and outside you would want something that blows cool air not hot air!!! quite a few of items had been taken from our room (cleaners). to get a bed from the pool u would have to QUEUE AT 6 THIRTY IN THE MORNING. the only thing i liked in this hotel was the massage chairs!!!

Hotel Piscis in Alcudia - Avoid at all costs!!!
"Very disappointed with the Hotel Piscis in Alcudia! Gorgeous location for a holiday, however the hotel totally spoilt our holiday!
For starters our room must been one of the smallest double rooms ever, not enough room to swing a cat in!! Decor of the hotel and rooms was very poor, place needs a complete revamp! Food was terrible, and hygiene and cleanliness was even worse! Had read some reviews prior to the holiday, but thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt! But on arrival at the hotel it was soon apparent that the hotel was not up to standard, have been on many Thomson holidays in the past, but this holiday was the worst experience we have ever had.
Health and Safety was also a big issue at the hotel, when spillages were made no one cleaned it up, with hotel staff making the excuse that they didnt have enough time to clear it up! Whilst we were on holiday it emerged that the hotel had been downgraded from a three star to a two star! Wires hanging out all over the place which is surely a safety hazzard to children in particular.
Pool was a total disaster, considering you were not supposed to have inflatables in the pool, so many people were using them, total disregard to anyone else using the pool, pool was no where near big enough to accommodate all guests at the hotel.
Hotel security was another issue, staff did not check people coming in and out of the hotel, people off the street could easily come into the hotel, which is very worrying considering the hotel is used by families!
Entertainment was totally rubbish, no proper entertainment for kids during the day, and in the evening apart from the mini disco and the odd act or Karaoke entertainment was very poor, in particular the lady in charge of the entertainment does not work on a Saturday night, you would think that would be the main night to have entertainment in a hotel on holiday!
All in all, a gorgeous location for a holiday Alcudia, but avoid the Hotel Piscis at all costs, spoke to many people at the hotel during our stay and a majority said that this was the worst hotel they had ever stayed in! Why are Thomson still endorsing this hotel! We got so sick of the food half way throughout the holiday that we ended up eating out of the hotel!
Thomson will definately be getting a formal complaint concerning our holiday in the next week, we have already told our rep when we were at the hotel about our concerns which have been noted!

hotel piscis, why all the fuss
"I dont understand all the bad reviews ITS A 3 STAR HOTEL NOT 5, now the food can get a bit repetitive over the course of a week but what they cooked is buetifull no complaints, while i stayed there out of 7 nights there were only two nights that there was no entertainment but the rest of the week the were live singers, parrot shows, local dancers, kareoke etc..
yes the hotel is basic but has all the nesecary amenities, rooms are very clean with maid service each and every day without fail even if you leave te do not disturb card on the door they will come back later to clean. rooms have air conditioning. the location of the hotel couldnt be really much better . your a 2 minute walk from the buetifull beach and the port del alcudia and the bustling town. right the pools a bit cold and not massive, so what? instead of travelling all the way to spain to sit in the hotel and around the pool all day go down to the beach no one can complain theres no room its 9 kilometres long the sand is white and clean and the sea is crystall clear.
all i can say is unless your stuck up and born with a silver spoon in your gob this hotel is perfect. ive stayed in 4 star hotels which are ten times worse that the hotel piscis. remember YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND NOTHING MORE. im going back to piscis this year"

Very Good hotel
"just arrived back from the hotel. What can i say, you get what you pay for. The food was good very similar ever night though. The staff are brilliant. The only problem is there was no entertainment. At all. We went down the road to a place called Shamrocks. Very good, cheap bar. The rooms was good& the weather was amazing, got a sunbed everyday. The beach is beautiful and only a 5 minute walk. The weather was brilliant! the lowest was 34degrees the highest 42 degrees. You should go to this hotel. Dont listen to the complaints."

"I stayed at the hotel from the 22nd July the hotel was clean and basic.
The pool too small ans the outdoor area too small for the hotel.
They did a lot of things with the kids in fact kids clubs went on to 10pm!
Not much evening entertainment for grown ups.
The food was plentiful and i am vegetarian with wheat and diary intolerance. I really enjoyed the lovely salads.
The resort is lovely and that was the best bit of the holiday.
If the noise of the lifts keeps you awake buy some ear plugs and have a few drinks that should help!
Staying on the 7th floor seemed to be the noisiest.
All in all i would go back mainly for the value and for the lovely beach !

HOLIDAY FROM HELL
"i just arrived back from this hotel ive never been so glad to be home, the food wqas vile same food every day no taste to it same pudding every dinner time and evening time, the pool is thqatn cold even an eskimo would complain about the cold water it was freezing, no entertainment no popcorn for the children no slush puppies, a little square of cake in the afternoon and cheese and ham sandwich same every day, no entertainment for the children, the room was nice and big but aircon didnt work, you have to pay 18 euros for the safe A WEEK, a few people complained about their clothes going missing from the rooms and the staff just shrugged their shoulders and could care less, there was a huge COCKROACH running round the dinner hall every one was screaming it was big, people were glad when their holiday came to an end we were very boring holiday nothing in the resort to do shops were selling clothes fit for a jumble sale all faded, all in all i wont be going back to mallorca every again"

Basic but very clean
"We went there on the 4th October 2011. My husband and I who are in our late 30's and our 4 yrs old son. The reception staff are very miserable. The room was spacious and very clean. The pool area is clean but very small. Sun beds are very close to the pool, so you can expect to get splashed. The hotel can be very noisy. At times we could clearly here the other guests. There is also an Irish bar and a British pub along side the hotel and if you have a room facing them you are guarenteed to hear it. The food in the hotel is fantastic. We couldnt fault it. My son is a fussy eater but still managed to eat something everyday. We found the drinks tasted fine, the downside was that they were served in plastic cups. Ok by the pool, but not in the eve when you want a nice pint and its served in a half pint plastic cup. The entertainment in the hotel is a total washout. Dont book for the entertainment. There wasnt any daytime activities either. The childrens play area is one climbing frame, not that great. It didnt bother us as we were happy to do our own thing. The hotel is close to the shops and beach and about a 15 minute stroll from the old town. All in all its not a bad place if you go there just dont expect 5 star treatment. "

Would definitly go back to the resort but different hotel
"Just returned from 2 weeks at Hotel Piscis. After reading the reviews I was not quite sure what to expect. The best thing about the hotel was the bedroom and the location. I am quite easy going when it comes to food but even I struggled to enjoy it after a few days and the waiters were so rude, My sister was made to get up during breakfast so the waiter could get past with his trolley this was after already bashing into her leg without as much as a sorry. Do not book the hotel if you are expecting evening entertainment as unless you enjoy a quiz every night there is not a lot else, also the entertainment area really is not comfortable or even suitable due to the pillers holding up the ceiling. The hotel is in a ideal location, it is close to the beach, shops to which there are plenty of, open until about 10.30 every evening, and the bus stop. There is a great Irish bar next to the hotel but drinks are expensive although large measures. There was one question we asked before we went to which the holiday company could not answer, we wanted to know if there was a beach towel service but there is not so either pack them or buy them out there. The swimming pool is quite small and the area is very cramped and enclosed so gets extremely hot, it is mainly used by families using inflatables so we found it better to walk to the beach. The Hotel is very clean but also very basic. Ask for a room with a pool view otherwise the rooms overlooking the road can be very noisey as it is very busy with speed bumps. Overall we had a great holiday with fantastic weather and the hotel was okay as a base."

Very good for the price
"The hotel was very good for the price. When we arrived we were a little disappointed with size of room and having no Tv, but it was very clean and as it turns out, we didnt need the tv, the food was very good - in fact as good as the AI we have paid more for. The staff were all very nice and efficient. The hotel is just a few minutes from a harbour with lots going on, and lots of cafes etc. In fact the only bad things, were the very bad insect bites, I had - which is not fault of the hotel, its just me. We were very sad we had not booked for 10days, as we would have liked extra time there. As for the people who dont rate the hotel, perhaps they should pay alot more, then they would have the right to compain."
