Would definately go back to this hotel again and again and again and again and again and again................
"Stayed here for 10 nights with my wife and daughter and my parents.
Found the hotel decor very smart especially the landscaping around the surrounding grounds.
The rooms were very clean and spacious and the balconies were like extra rooms.
The cleaning staff were exellent, and would go that bit extra by leaving choclates on the pillows and making swan-like shapes out of the towels, they also made a lot of fuss of my 3 year old daughter who absolutely loved the attention.
The restraunt staff were also very good, the waiters/waitresses would stop and chat aswell as doing an outstanding job in clearing tables in super fast time.
The childrens entertainers were exellent and were full of energy, from first thing in the morning when the `mini-club` started to the evening where they would finish with their stage shows.
The Food was outstanding and the variety was endless, from grill cooked steaks, fish, king prawns etc, to a choice of salads and cold meats, thats not including the cheese boards, pasta section, fruit and desert sections and so on, and if you just fancied a snack you could eat at the beach bar which would open up every lunch time and stay open until around 3-4pm, and would serve beef burgers, hot dogs, chips etc.
The Evening entertainment was good, but not always to my taste, the dancing acts were very good and also a duet act which sang hits from the past to the present were also very good, and as I said before, the childrens entertainment was exellent and my daughter loved it, she also loved the mascot for the childrens show which was a character called `SMILEY THE DOG`(we even had to buy her the stuffed toy version).
The only down side to our hols was the actual weather which saw more rain than sun, but we did not let that spoil our stay and we made the most of the excursions, which were ideal for the location of the hotel, for example we had a boat trip around the coast which picked us up within 300yards of the hotel. We had a taxi stop area by the side of the hotel which we used quite often. There were horse and traps also located at the side of the hotel and I definately recommend at least an hours trip on one, as you get to see a lot more of surrounding area than you would in a taxi. The sunday market is also a must.
Will definately be going back to this hotel next year.

Fntastic location, phenomenal food, great hotel
"We stayed at the Cuidad Blanca on a half board basis as a family of four including two teenagers. The half board allowed us to eat a huge breakfast and an evening meal, each being presented as a self service buffet which catered for the tastes of all nationalities. We were all very impressed with the quality and variety of the food, you could eat as much as you wanted (unfortunately, I did!!).
The room/flat we stayed in was very clean and tidy with loads of storage. There was a kitchenette area with a fridge and basic cooker; a spacious lounge with two sofas; a tiled bathroom with an over bath shower; there were two bedrooms, be aware they consisted of a twin and a single, the fourth and/or fifth family member slept on a well sized couch in the living room (which was as big as the beds and did the job). Our room/flat backed onto a roundabout on the main road to the rear of the hotel and was a little noisy at night. The spacious balcony overlooked the beach and the sea.
The hotel staff are incredibly friendly, that goes for the reception, restaurant, cleaning and entertainment staff. Each night there is a show, which we found entertaining. We were impressed just how hard all the staff worked and maintained a smile and a friendly word. This was exampled when the head waiter walked past as we waited for our transfer to the airport, he stopped, waved good bye and had a kind word- he didnât have to do that.
We didnât use the pools much, owing to the draw of the beach, however, they were always clean. There are two, a centrally located childrens pool and a deeper pool within the complex. The entertainment staff ran aquarobics during the day.
The hotel is very well located immediately adjacent to Alcudia beach. Behind the hotel there is the third centre of Alcudia, âThe Beachâ with shops, restaurants and a bar area, be rest assured this isnât a revellers scene. It takes a 15-20min walk along the beach to Alcudia Port, the walled town is a further 10-15min walk beyond. All three centres are worth a visit.
The beach is cleaned daily with plenty of beach beds or space to place your towel. The water is really warm and has a long 25-30 mtr safe paddle-able depth before it gradually deepens. The wind is invariably still in the morning and builds during the day to a 12-15 knot refreshingly, cooling breeze. There are plenty on beach bars and water based activities such as sailing, speed boat towed inflatables and parasailing.
Would we go to this hotel again? OH, YES DEFINATELY! We all gained what we wanted; relaxation, activities, sun, sea & food. A really good hotel and well worth staying at.

"Just back from a 10 day all-inclisive break-myself, husband and children 16 yrs and 13 yrs.Resort is excellent location - in middle of town and on the beach. Pools were a bit busy so we went to beach every day - sand lovely, water shallow and warm, lovely breeze and peace and quiet even although there was plenty going on - watersports (bananna boat, jet ski etc.) My only complaint was having to pay 9 euros for 2 beds everyday but I suppose thats the price you have to pay for a bit of privacy. Food was excellent at the hotel - wide variety to suit all cultures-my favourite night was the "seafood" night - we had lobster, caviar, scallops, mussels, king prawns etc. Accommodation was good - we were in block 2 gound floor apartment. Entertainment was OK - the holiday reps do a fab job, especially with the children. My son went to the teenage club and had a good time playing football, french bowls, archery etc. Not so much to do for my daughter but she was ok sunbathing. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely consider going again."

"Me, my husband and 9 year old went for 10 days. It was the BEST holiday we have ever had.
The food was delicious with loads of variety at every meal. The pool bar was particularly good for lunchtime with so much choice you really didn't know what to eat, and there was a barbecue every night as well as the main restaurant so all in all it was superb.
There were 3 pools, the baby pool, the main pool which our daughter could stand in throughout. There was another pool in a different part of the hotel which went deeper but we didn't use that one. The main pool was great although a bit chilly when you first stepped in, however it was so hot that it was a welcome relief!
The hotel backed straight onto the beach and we went for a walk along the beach every morning after breakfast, the beach is beautiful with white sand and the sea slopes very gently and is very clean. It was a 15 minute walk to the marina which holds the main shopping area. It was very pleasant there.
All the hotel staff were brilliant, very friendly. The hotel entertainment was first class and the entertainment staff were so good and so friendly even though they were working for at least 12 hours a day. They took time out every evening to come and talk to you asking for your opinion, every show they did was excellent and we also had some outside entertainment on a few evenings and they were just as good. Watch out for the sketch show they put on, it is hilarious. They do a full monty sketch, this is so funny your sides will split, our daughter was screaming with laughter. They do the full strip but it's not seen, however they do reappear with the hats covering their modesty, done very well considering there are children involved. They also put on a Lion King show which was brilliant.
The hotel is not exclusively English and the staff speak several languages during the kids disco and the entertainment, however this is not a problem at all and it helps you to pick up snippets of other languages. We found all the other guests great, very friendly europeans. There were plenty of English people there too.
I can't express enough how much we enjoyed the holiday, our daughter met loads of new friends, including some foreign kids and even though they couldn't speak each others languages it didn't stop them playing together. We will definitely be going back to the hotel and would 100% recommend it as it was so relaxing, but if you wanted plenty to do then the entertainment staff had plenty for you to do.
The only downside to the holiday was Thomas Cook. We flew from Luton on a Monarch flight and one of our cases went walkies! Luckily we thought to split our clothes half and half into each case so we all had something when we got there. The Thomas Cook rep at the airport was more interested in trying to guide us to the coach rather than communicating with Iberia on our behalf to help with the lost case and was pulling at my husbands arm as he was trying to fill out a form with help from a spanish lady with limited English. The rep at the hotel was not at all surprised that the case was lost and she even said that Monarch lose at least one case from each flight. The case did turn up 2 days later, however we had to buy all new toileterries and suncreams as they were in the missing case and spent 85 euros, which we won't see again. And when the case reappeared there was a missing bikini, t-shirt, AAA batteries and wet wipes (the mind boggles!). The rep thought this was highly amusing and laughed at the last 2 items, said we could fill out a missing item form but didn't hold out much hope the things would be found. That was all the help we got with that, the reception staff in the hotel were much more helpful and sympathetic than Thomas Cook - which I think says it all.
As I say, we will definitely return to the hotel, however I think we will find an alternative travel agent to book for next year as Thomas Cook are great as long as everything goes smoothly but frankly couldn't really be bothered if you have a problem, and this is something that we have heard from others so it doesn't bode well for them.
All moaning out of the way, I have nothing but great memories other than that and wish we were still there now."

"what a great holiday, food fantastic and very clean, beach lovley but beware there is a charge for the sunbeds on the beach 4.5 euros per bed for the day. Great kids club and entertainment at night was good.
THe staff were all very friendly and rooms were good and maid service daily with clean towels.
The weather can be a bit unpriedictable as it rainned all week !! and buy some mossie replent and plugs as we got bitten to death !!!.
There is also no straps on the high chairs so if you have a lively one beware !!.
we got a tranfer with ressort hoppa, would not do this again as we waited over 1 hr at the airport !! go dirct if you can.
we would definelty return.

A warning to all
"I will start this review with a warning to all travellers who book into hotel rooms that use a card system to open the door and operate the electricity. DO NOT leave a card in the electricity switch at any time. We did so with one of the rooms only to find it had been taken whilst the room was being cleaned, the cleaners generally leave the doors ajar whilst cleaning. The following evening an attempt was made to gain entry into the room using the stolen card, We were lucky that we arrived just after the thief who made a getaway through a window, fortunately nothing was taken and the keys were immediately cancelled by the management and replacements obtained.
With the exception of the above incident we had a great time at the Ciudad Blanca which adjoins the beech and is centrally located. There are two pools and are an adequate number of sun loungers, we were in a party of nine and were usually able to be together. The activities were varied and of a good standard. We booked this hotel based on previous reviews and were not disappointed, much better than other AI hotels in the area.
The one area where improvement could be made was the evening shows. The professional shows which alternated nightly with the entertainment team were all much of a muchness juggling, miming, clowning around etc. A tribute band one night a week would have improved things no end.
Many of the guests had stayed there before which says it all really and we would go back again without any hesitation."

Very good service
"It was a great experience because we find in this hotel a privilege location in the beach and in the center of the town. It is a hotel for families.
Above average was the service always available for you. Our kids (below 10 years) like very much the activities during the day and the kids shows in the night.
After the kids show a professional show keep us relaxing outside with a good cocktail always available with the all inclusive package. The food have a very good variety and quantity.
Beautiful gardens give a great atmosphere around the two pools.
The hotel provide all you need. You can rent a car, rent a bike, organize day travels in the country."

Great hotel for the whole family
"We arrived at the hotel on Sun 27th May. We flew with jet2.com from Manchester and booked the accomodation on an All Inclusive basis separately via a travel agent. I do have to say that the leg room on the jet2.com 757 aircraft was the least I have ever experienced and even on such a short flight, the discomfort was very apparent.
We arranged private transfers from Palma Airport to the hotel with holidaytaxis.com and would recommend the service level to anyone.
The check in was fast and efficient with the multilingual staff on the front desk. However, having arrived at the hotel before noon, the room was not ready until about 2.30pm. This was not too much of a problem as the there is a room off the lobby where luggage can be stored safely. We simply had some lunch and a few drinks until the room was ready for us.
The rooms are spacious and clean with a balcony and a bedroom for the adults and two convertible sofas for the kids (11 & 10). For the amount of time actually spent in the room, this proved more than adequate for us.
The hotel guests were 70% German, 10% British, 10% Swiss & 10% Scandinavian. I did hear the odd French, but I guess they could also have been Swiss or Begian!
The Facilities at the hotel were impeccably well cleaned and hygiene was never in question. The Restaurant offered a wide selection of food and I would challenge anyone to not find anything they liked. Yes. It could have been considered repetitive, but find me a restaurant that wouldn't be considered repetitive after 10 consecutive visits! Manolo and his staff worked well to seat you as quickly as possible.
There are two Swimming Pools. The main pool is situated right at the back of the hotel and whilst it is where most the activities are and where most people lie on loungers, it is not deep enough for adults to swim in. However, the quieter pool near Block 2 most certainly is. The Beach is only yards from either pool anyway.
The Entertainment Staff (Los Animadores) under the direction of Massimo worked very hard throughout the day & night, providing activities for both Adults & Children. Our kids loved every minute with them and it certainly gave us a little free time also.
If you have a young family and want a bit of sunshine that is only 2 hours flight away, then the Ciudad Blanca ticks all the right boxes.

Good families with very young children
"We stayed from 29 May until 5 June 2007. The Hotel is on the main Alcudia - Can Picafort road in the Bellvue district right opposite Pizza Hut and KFC. There are numerous shops, bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk.
All Hotel staff speak English although there were not many English people staying. The majority of guests were German or Sandinavian.
We had a four bed (one bedroom apartment) in Block 2 which is behind the stage area. The shows are finished each evening at a resonable hour so noise is not a problem.
Each apartment has a balcony. We were on the third floor so had a view of the second pool and the sea. The apartments are cleaned well each day. Thre are safe deposit boxes in each room which you can hire at reception on arrival.
The food in the restaurant and beach bar is good with plenty of choice on offer. You can choose to eat lunch outside by the beach or in the main restaurant. The restaurant becomes extremely busy at peak periods (18.30 to 20.00) with lots of toddlers and pre school age children. it can become quite manic so we tended to take our 7 & 8 year old at 20.30 which was much quiter and civilised.
The main pool is quite small although interestingly shaped and quite shallow so perfectly safe for the kids. There is a second smaller but deeper pool at the back of the hotel. there are a lot of sun beds but be warned, you need to be an early bird to secure your favoutite roost. On our last day we left the hotel at 7am and yes you guessed it, the towel drapers were out in force!
The pool bar has an endless stream of ice creams and soft drinks for the kids. you can help yourself to the soft drinks, alcoholic drinks including beer has to be served, but the service is good.
The Hotel has a fantastic beach side location which is the best feature. You can literally drift between pool, sand and sea taking in drinks at the same stage, fantastic.
The hotel has the usual mixture of the on site star team providing the entertainment. OK if you like that type of thing, the outside stage bar is close to the stage with good waiter service."

"My husband, in-laws and 20 month old daughter are just back from 7 nights at this superb family hotel. The hotel exceeded all expectations and was an excellent example of what a hotel should be like. The cleanliness was second to none, the staff were efficient, helpful and ever so friendly and the food in the restaurant was so varied that even the fussiest of eaters would be impressed with a selection for all tastes and varied menus for dinner each evening. We stayed half board which was sufficient as there was a kitchenette in the apartment, with fridge, electric rings, and ample saucepans, cutlery and crockery. After sampling lunch one day which was fairly ordinary we felt we had definitely made the right choice, with supermarkets, restaurants, KFC, Pizza Hut all nearby.
The entertainment in the hotel was excellent for our daughter, with us at all times she looked so forward to the mini-disco straight after dinner and the appearance of "Smilely" (a 6ft fluffy dog) every evening. The mini-club is for older children and would really suit ages 4 upwards. Needless to say, the hotel staff didn't mind us bringing our daughter with us to the hotel bar and keeping her there in her buggy once she had gone to sleep on the occassional night we did this. The cocktails were great and definitely recommended.
All in all a fantastic holiday, albeit the weather a little unpredictable for the first week in May but we would definitely go back."

Ciudad Blanca, great for kids
"My husband, two children ages four and seven months, and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Iberostar Ciudad Blanca in Mallorca. The staff was very attentive, the room clean and comfortable, the food good but repetitive, and a great location on the beach.
The rooms are apartment style with a kitchenette (no microwave). We were quite comfortable, but I should warn those who wish to go to bed early not to stay in block 2, as it is directly attatched to the stage for the evening entertainment. We moved to block 3 which was much better for our kids.
The beach is literally right behind the hotel is very clean even with peek season crowds. The water is very shallow for a great distance and I felt safe supervising my son just from the shore. It is a clean beach, but there are some that are even nicer just a short drive away.
The all inclusive deal worked out well for us and it was great to be able to get a drink or snack for our older child at any time of the day. They also have a decent mini club with a playground and a full schedule of activities, for kids and adults alike. Every night there is a mini disco for the kids proceeded by a show for the whole family, but we were always getting ready for bed by then.
As far as Alcudia goes, the Port and tourist areas are just shops, and more shops of all the same junk. Plenty of places to rent bikes, cars, etc. but we just arranged our rental with the front desk. The town of Alcudia however is a quaint little walled city that is tidy and interesting.
I highly recomend a short trip to Pollenca. It has unique shops and in the center there is a chapel at the top of a 150 step hill. There is also a local potter who sells his one of a kind art for reasonable prices. The evening we went to Pollenca, all the people were setting up tables out in the street, preparing for an evening where everyone dines outside. It looked like lots of fun, but we had to go because our kids go to bed early.
All in all a great hotel in a convenient location. Be sure to explore inland though."

Best hotel for many years
"Ciudad Blanca has the best accommodation and location in Alcudia.
We have stayed here many times with our two children. The staff are very helpful and friendly, rooms are always very clean and comfortable. The two pools are never crowded and always clean.
Most people stay all-inclusive, but it is possible to book accom., only and then convert to all-inclusive at a later time during your stay.
The hotel enjoys a sandy beach front location, having a large footpath leading into the harbour, used by many people during the evening.
The hotel is situated very close to shops, bars, and restaurants but is quiet at night when you need to get to sleep.
There is a bus stop outside the hotel and local buses run regularly, but can become very crowded at times, I would recommend that you use a taxi to go to the markets. The taxi rank is at the end of the hotel, or can be ordered via the desk.
The Roma Italian restaurant, and the Casa Del Dragon Chinese restaurant are just over the main road within easy walking distance, and serve lovely food. There are many, many others to choose from, all serving good food at reasonable prices.
Entertainment at night in the hotel consists of a children's disco in the early evening and then family entertainment which is mainly provided by the entertainment teams miming to Grease, Lion King, and similiar, but children love it.
We went to see the Pirates show in Magaluf, which was excellent, and I would recommend that if you visit Majorca you should go to see it, however the seating is a bit cramped.
If you get the chance to visit Valldemossa, Deia, Soller, on the west of the Island, you would not be disappointed.
Don't forget to take mosquito electric plug repellents for the room and lotion for going out in the evening.
Alcudia is a busy resort with lots of quiet areas if you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of the shoping areas."
