BEWARE VERY AWARE OF A SCAM GOING ON
"My family of 4 have just returned from this hotel only to discover that unless you book with Thomas Cook you are likely to be told upon checking in that there are no rooms and you will need to be transfered to their sister hotel The Continental 20 mins away, we stood our ground and insisted that no way was we going, thank god we did as during our stay we talked to several other guests that had the same happen to them and the other hotel is basically 2 star, don't believe any stories reception tell you and eventually you will get a room in the hotel you booked. Once we got the upset out of the way we did enjoy our holiday and the MDV is a nice hotel clean, food excellent and remainder of staff very pleasant so that is all we wanted, shame they had to spoil the beginning for us, companies they are turning away are Travel Republic, Low Cost Holidays and probably any other independants."

good holiday shame about the booking in
"Just returned from delfin verde was very unhappy.having stayed at this hotel twice last year ,on booking in at 11-30pm was told by recepion their was no room for two of our party of four and had to spend the night at a different hotel.the next morning having met up with two friends who had stayed at this hotel like us twice last year with no complaints at all.we were asked if the six of us would like to go to the continental park hotel their sister hotel.we were told it was a superior hotel .having a look at this hotel we were glad to go back to delfin verde.it was very dark and smelt damp.when we arrived their were no other guest their.we were going back in september but we will not be going back it seems the delfin verde is taking bookings and when people are arriving they are told their are no rooms available and are getting sent to the continental park hotel.i witnessed this many times."

"We stayed at the Delfin 15-22 Sept 2012. arrived 00.30 Sunday morning to be told we were not booked in as our name was not on their records, was sent by cab to the Alcudia Sol, told to return following morning where there will be a room for us, there wasn't. We were told by reception that we were actually booked into the Club Mac ? ..... We spent two days at the club Mac and eventually got a room at the Delfin on the Tuesday. We booked with Ola Holidays and assumed it was their mix up because another two couples booked with the same company, but on a different forum I have been told that the Delfin has been over booked many times with different tour operators. I am sending a letter to both ola Holidays and The delfin Verde hotel."

sunbeds yet again
"hi stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks 11th until 25th aug 2012 for my 50th birthday with my family. staff amazing polite hardworking and they doted on my 1 year old grandaughter.rooms ok,plenty of choices with food, but we found people rushing and running 8.15 onwards after queing to get out the doors to grab sun lounges, they were snapped up in minutes, there was only approx 60 sunbeds for 171 rooms, not enough for the amount of people booked in. the hotel was full,it costs 9 euros a time to get a sunbed on the beach. As this hotel is A/I obviously people are going to want to spend some time by the pool, the hotel is very near the beach but a good 25 minutes walk to the centre where the nice bars and restaurants are."

the best staff in Europe
"fantastic staff from domestic to entertainment. lovely and clean. food for everyone and very pleasant bar staff. nothing is too much trouble for the staff. they get to know everyone on a 1:1 basis and make each family feel involved in all pool side games. steve marteon lisann and emma are absolutely brilliant entertainers for both adults and kids. night time entertainment is brilliant. all in all a fantastic hotel that we will be re-visiting as many others we met have. 10 out 10 definitely for this hotel"

"just returned from 1 week at delfin verde, sept 17th2011,with wife, daughter and 12yr old grandson.we had fantastic time weve been to majorca 16 times, 1st time at this hotel staff friendliest weve ever met.you usually get 1 thats miserable or unhelpful not here. hotel was clean some people shouldnt go on holiday they seem to constantly find fault.i defy any family who cannot find something suitable to eat at buffet also the pool snack bar was great. our grandson is fussy eater but not here, weve stayed at 4 star hotels that the food has been nowhere near as good as this, weather was great that helped.we found trips to other parts of island lot more expensive than they used to be.avoid allday trip to marineland as not enough to do to verify cost you can see it all in half day cost £127 for 3 adults + 1 child. i would suggest avoiding booking trips with reps as its more with them they are on commission.holidays are dear enough without subsidising there wages. i would recommend this hotel to anyone very child @ adult friendly. dsimpson"

Just returned from 11 night all inclusive.
"Prior to going out to Alcudia read reviews and thought that these can't all be correct. On arrival hotel was beautiful and clean and staff couldnt be anymore helpful. First couple of days food really good and from there on in drastically went downhill. We are definately not fussy eaters but ate toast and yoghurt in morning, baguette by pool bar for lunch and soup n pudding for evening meal. Ate out most nights even tho paid for all inclusive. Entertainment team worked really hard but entertainment for adults was like sitting back home at an eveing in a Haven Holidays caravan park tho must say had better nights there. All drinks at bar NOT STRONG would go as fard as saying think they were watered down. Stopped serving at midnight and were asked to leave by 00:20 as staff wanted to go home!! Would DEFINATELY NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone. Will be making formal complaint to Thomas Cook re this hotel!!! "

Loved our holiday
"We have just returned from 2 weeks all inclusive, 4 adults and 1 8 year old. The Staff are excellent, loads of fun things to do through the day, friendly atmosphere all round, Steve and Martin were brilliant, The restaurant was spacious, clean and food was delicious although repeated a few times, the kids menu was brilliant. Evening entertainment started a bit late at 10 so our son was too tired to let us stay up, and as the outside seating area isn't very well lit and the play area is in darkness past 2 pools it wasn't easy enjoying the evening and keeping an eye on him. The rooms were clean and basic, with free air conditioning, TV with 1 English channel, the beds were very uncomfortable, combined with the constant noise from the opposite hotel and screaming adults at 2am made sleep impossible, and if anyone in the next rooms opened a door or their wall safe it woke you. The photos online are not how the pool area looks so very deceptive, the area around the pools are very slippery and adults and children were constantly slipping over. There is also no shaded area outside to sit, and no pub as advertised on some sites, just the buffet bar. I wouldn't pay £4000 to stay in this hotel again but the staff were amazing, friendly, patient and very hard working."

Fantastic holiday enjoyed by whole family :-)
"Just arrived back from our 2 week holiday and stayed at the marina delfin verde hotel. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children age 10 and 13). We went fully inclusive and booked through lowcostholidays. For a 3 star hotel, it was a very good price for a place to stay and eat - the room was nicely air conditioned (You need this in that sort of weather being very warm outside) and you can control it, the beds were comfortable (We have stayed in other places where the beds were not comfortable and we all missed our own beds back home but not the case here), the staff (From the receptionists to the restaurant staff to the bar staff and the entertainment staff) were all brilliant and worked very hard to make our stay a very enjoyable one. The day snack and drinks at the pool bar was very good. The food in the restaurant was very good (although they repeated a few meals towards the end of our stay but it was still very good as you always had food choices). Although we ventured out to the market (About a 20 minute walk) twice during our stay, went to the beach twice (About 10 minute walk), we did not need to leave the hotel as everything was provided at the hotel (There were day activities for the children and adults which we also joined in and Martin and Steve were great hosts). The evening entertainment was also good and there are places close by that we could have also gone to. Altogether a good location, good hotel, good food, great staff and the whole family agreed that we should go back there next year."

August 2011 holiday
"We came back from staying at the Delfin Verde Yesterday (19th Aug) after a two week holiday there. Amazing, Brilliant, fantastic,wonderful...... what more can I say? It was the first time we have taken our two girls ( 7 + 5 years) abroad and we wanted it to be a memorable enjoyable holiday and it certainly was! The hotel staff were all amazing and so friendly, Food was plentyful, tasty and 5*,Rooms and surrounding areas where cleaned and well maintained, Pool was great for kids and adults alike, entertainment team worked 24/7 to ensure everyone didnt get bored. I can honestly say I was the best holiday me and my husband have ever had, and I would fully recomend it to anyone with a family, My girls sobbed their little hearts out when they had to leave as they had enjoyed it so much!"
