11 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
A True 5* Experience
"There have been so many excellent reviews about this hotel, there's very little more that I can add - except that it is by far the best hotel that we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. What made it stand out from other 5* hotels we have stayed in was the sincere friendliness of the staff, and the completely easy-going attitude and ethos all round; it really felt like a luxury holiday - with no airs and graces whatsoever.
Yes, the surrounding area (not too close) is typically touristy and rather trashy in terms of shops, but the beach from which the hotel leads onto, makes up for that - beautifully secluded, and well away from the nightmare proportions of Alcudia and Can Picafort. There is a charge for sun beds on the beach, but that is because they are not owned by the hotel. There are ample sun beds in the hotel grounds anyway (within a gardened area and on a sandy patch just before the beach), and very few people did in fact seem to reserve them - probably because breakfast is from 8 - 11 am, and the clientele seem to sleep in! There is no problem in taking hotel towels onto the beach, and all that the hotel asks is that you return them to the pool area when you are finished.
On the subject of towels, my only criticism of The Parc Natural is that for a registered Eco Hotel, the pool towels were totally open to abuse by guests. Several chests of freshly laundered towels were scattered around the pool on a daily basis, thus encouraging guests to change them each day - and use more than one each; we noted some guests using three each! This seemed a little strange, as polite notices in the rooms reminded guests of the need to conserve water by re-using bathroom towels and bedding wherever possible. Just a point. I didnât think I would ever have to criticise an establishment for being too accommodating, however!
Comments have been made about drinks being pricey, but it seemed that drinks were equally as expensive in the surrounding bars (which were far from exclusive â trust me!). Many people, including ourselves bought daytime drinks for the pool from the neighbouring Spar (the one on the LHS as you leave the hotel - and not the one further down the road on the RHS, which claims to be the cheapest in town - it's not!), and enjoyed them in the hotel grounds - no problem whatsoever. We used the fridge in the room for our own purchases, and despite the minibar being checked daily, no one ever complained. A bottle of wine sitting on the beach and watching the sun go down was another inexpensive and totally pleasurable pastime; the evening entertainment in the hotel was rather varied, in our opinion, but that is a purely subjective experience.
Vacating the room at 12 noon for a night flight caused us no upheaval whatsoever. Our cases were automatically taken from our room at the allocated time, and it was pointed out that the spa area had all the facilities needed to refresh after a day by the pool. In retrospect, I wish I had visited the spa area at the start of the holiday, because it was extensive and beautiful. There were fresh towels available, large lockers (1 Euro deposit) and even free fruit and drinks available for refreshments. Our hand luggage was kept securely at reception, and I had every faith that our belongings would be safe â and they were. So the last day felt very much like a full ânormalâ day, and with free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, spending the last hour or so in reception waiting for the private taxi transfer to the airport did not seem too much of an ordeal. The porter waited for the taxi at the entrance, and our bags were loaded onto it before we had even time to make it to the door. Nothing was too much trouble.
Previous comments about unruly children could apply to any hotel, and is the fault of the parents rather than the establishment. We found these to be in the minority, and in general the hotel seemed to attract couples of all ages or small families, rather than the extended families that some of the larger hotels seem to be overrun with â irrespective of rating. The somewhat secluded position of The Parc Natural possibly precludes those who seek all-singing all-dancing 24/7 entertainment, but for a wholly relaxing and luxurious way to recharge some much depleted batteries, this hotel and holiday was flawless. We will return!

Marga and the reception staff
"Our party consisted of two 'seniors', myself and my wife and a my son's young family including two children, a 2 year old boy and an 8 mth old girl.
The position of the hotel was excellent. My grandson enjoyed the sand and paddling on the safe beach a few yards from the hotel pool complex. There weere plenty of sun loungers , shades and towels at the extensive choice of pools. The spa, including heated pool with all the trimmings, was perfect to enjoy and take the children out of the sun when they had had enough.
Because we had booked late, there was some confusion over the accomodation which comprised a lovely large room with a sea view and a nearby junior suite.
The problem was resolved very satisfactoriy, in a speedy and charming manner by Marga [ who had been very patient throughout the booking ] with the help of her manager and with the minimum of fuss. Indeed all of the reception staff were outstanding.
We came off half board part way through the holiday because the timings for dinner did not suit the little ones.
All in all we had a lovely holiday.

Wow! what a hotel!
"I was there for only one night, in total I stayed for less than 24 hours ... but believe me when I am saying "Wow!". I think it is the best hotel in the world, but for sure the best I ever stayed. First benefit - it is close to the beach - waether on Mallorca is guaranteed so you may enjoy swimming in the crystal water of the sea!
And spa .... is for free (except of beauty treatments) and is really perfect ... especially when so hot is - the cooling/fridge small room is very useful! I spent in spa the great 2 hours and if not Friday's drink with hotel'a management I would stay there longer.
Staff is helpful and you feel like a "friend" not a "customer".
And you are getting small gift there is waiting for you in your room, and you have beach towels for free, and you have bath coat, and your room is made ready when you are coming back evening to sleep....
So - definately recommended to stay there!"

Good but not excellent
"We just return back from this hotel after staying one week. The hotel is good but not really 5 star standards.
It was very clean, the staff very polite but they didnât speak English. We had half board and we really impressed from the food. Breakfast and dinner was excellent.
The only bad itâs the furniture. Its very old fashion and you thing that you live in 80s. The prices are not really very expensive, normal things for 5 star hotel (2.5 Euro for a coke).
Anyway I believe this hotel is for bigger ages not for us (27-31 years old)."

This Hotel is not for us
"We stayed at this hotel for 10 days in September, the Hotel is impressive and the reception staff were very good,
we were allocated room 2125, very nice room, but the view from the balconey was looking onto a concret wall. so we asked to be moved, the hotel was full and the only other room available was 2105, again the room was very nice, but the view from the baloncy was just palm trees, they were about 6 feet from the window, you could not see anything else.
so we were stuck with this,
The next problem was the waiting staff, some could not understand english but were fulent in german, one night we sat at the botton of the resturant and had ants running over the table, we informed the head waiter but i do not think he could undertand the problem, so he did not come back to the table, needless to say we had to move,
we found during our stay there were not many english guests, and this hotel was almost full with german guests, we met 2 english couples all the time we were there, the nightly entertianment was about 3 star rating,
The positive thing was the food and quality of it, it was excellent, plenty of it, but again there is a bit of a langue barrier with the chefs, ( not if you speak german )
I belive you get what you pay for , but in this hotel we were dissapointed, we paided £2500 for the 2 of us for 10 days, we have had much better for less at other 5 star hotels in spain
we will not go back to this hotel again"

Well worth a 5* rating!
"Having read the reviews on Trip Advisor we booked this hotel, always wary of the fact it might not live up to expectations.
We need not have worried, the hotel, the service , the rooms, the entertainment were all of very high standards. The hotel seems to pride itself on a very personal touch with friendly staff that make you feel very important and nothing is too much trouble for them ( unusual in this day and age).
From the staff in the dining room, the reception staff and even the room maids everyone had a smile and a cheery good morning, a very positive atmosphere was evident.
We booked a suite with a sea view and I can only say it was more like an apartment with a large lounge and very large bedroom and two bathrooms (his & hers), one of the bathrooms even had a large window with a lovely view of the mediterranean sea that you could look at while you were showering!
The food at the hotel was exeptional and plentiful with champagne at breakfast and every taste catered for.
The pool and grounds were very well kept and had more than enough sun loungers for everyone.
We cannot praise this hotel highly enough and hope to return there in the future."

"We can only agree with the review of Miss Hull in 2002 - excellent hotel, staff, food and location.
A very good quality hotel, the staff will do anything to help, whether it's local information, travel details, or room service. In May 2005 we were one of only a few British bookings, and very few children. Unlike other similar hotels we've stayed in the children were quiet and well behaved.
This is an ideal hotel for couples on their own, very relaxing and an ideal place to 'chill out' from the hustle of life back home. Quite often we find that the 'hotel pool' is the last place we want to spend time, but at this hotel it was so quiet that it was a pleasure to relax in the hotel grounds.
We will certainly be looking to book this hotel again."

A luxurious stay
"This hotel impressed me from the start. A sit down check in with drink in a fabulous foyer and far enough away from the main Alcudia hotels to feel un- threatened by them.
The room was large and well furnished. The grounds, which reminded me of a Carribean hotel garden, were quite compact but never felt cramped. The restaurant was large enough to accomodate everyone whenever they wished to dine. Most rush in at 7.00pm, much quieter after 8.15pm. The buffet was always replenished and the grill chef stayed till the end. Entertainment was the usual mixed bag. The staff were all very polite and efficient.
The beach which the hotel is on is large and spacious great for early morning walks when no one is about."

Wonderful holiday & fabulous food @ hotel
"My husband & I stayed @ Parc Natural June 2005 & had a wonderful holiday.
I was a bit dubious about going to Majorca as I can be a bit of a snob.
The hotel was lovely, we had a warm reception on arrival with a wonderful refreshing fruit cocktail drink.
The food @ the hotel was very good, although the bar drinks were rather expensive.
The room was large, comfortable & very clean, & the hotel always smelt nice.
There is lots to do in Majorca & Alcudia beach is wonderful for swimming & bathing.
We had a throughly enjoyable holiday."

"We were blown away by the level of service and the warm welcome we received at this hotel.
In May its alot quieter and a great escape from busy lives back in Britain.
The food was 5 star, the hotel was 5 star and the service 5 star, infact we cannot complain about anything! we had an amazing time, we were infact 1 of only 6 British couples staying there at that time, most were German, very pleasant and well mannered, few children, the ones that were there were well behaved and stayed mainly at the childrenâs area where activityâs were plentiful with trained child minders.
Itâs a very quiet hotel, but only minutes from the hustle of the town, opposite the hotel is a nature reserve which is nice, and in the evenings the lounge and bar area would have classical players, or singers on, again, more class than brass, if you get my meaning.
The hotel also boasts a beautiful indoor pool, gym and sauna, be warned though, the Germans bare all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Having only stayed in 5 star hotels, this one definitely gets the thumbs up, we cannot wait to return.
