"This hotel is perfect! Not only do you have the beach straight out of the front door but you are never far away from the nightlife of Magaluf.
Stayed here from 2nd July 05-16th July 05 and had a great time. We went on a half board basis but ended up eating McDonalds most nights or even popping down to the shops for a sarnie. The rooms are very spacious and as there were four of us going we got 2 rooms with 2 people in each. This made our stay alot more enjoyable as we werent falling over each otehr every second of the day. The room s have lovely air con which during the night take the temp of the room down to bout 2C so we had to even get the blankets out!
The pool is a good size but on an afternoon it doesnt get much sun but just across the road is Palma Nova beach which stretches for miles with white sand and clear blue sea!!
The hotel itself is situated on the main street of Palma Nova so access to Palma and magaluf is easy enough as there are many buses running past the hotel every hour.
A must is Western Water Park in Magaluf which is a excellent water park with a cowboy theme. Not only does it have rides but entertainment is also put on by the staff there, with eagles and diving through fire!!
For the nightlife it is best to head to Magaluf but firstly we would go to Banana Joes down the street from the hotel then wander down to Maga. The main clubs are BCM, Alexs, Revolution, Lennons, Boomerangs etc.
All the clubs in Maga play different sorts of music so whatever music you are in to you will be sure to find it here!
If you are planning to go to BCM it is best to pay to get in b4 12pm all this means is that you will get goodies but you can also leave and then re-enter at a later time wen the parties have really started. If u look around the reps for BCM will tell u bout different club nites happening. When we were there there was DJ Sammy, Westwood, Radio 1, Popcorn Party, Foam Party and just as we left Water Parties. If u go to any of these parties its advisable NOT to wear your best clothes as u get covered in foam and the colours will start to run!!
Not only are there great clubs, it is also a fact that there are more lads than lasses there robs a 3:1 ratio and wen we were there, there were lads everywhere!!!
We will deffo be going bk and no doubt it will be very soon!!!"

"We were not to impressed by our tour operator as we could not find them when we arrived, they were half way round the airport. We were then not allocated a bus, and had to wait until one was found.
Eventually we arrived at the hotel where we were allocated our room which was exactly what we had requested, top floor with a sea view it was great .
We found the food was excellent and varied. Rooms were cleaned every day. The evening entertainment was great.
The hotel was situated in an excellent position right on the sea front with everything close at hand.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone."

"Could not fault the hotel clean, tidy, food was great with a great choice of meals, rooms cleaned daily and ideally situated for the beach and shops. If there was 1 thing I had to fault about the hotel with it would be the swimming pool was too small.
Travelled through panorama who I thought did not put themselves out at all. There were no where to be seen when we arrived at the airport, we had to look all over the airport were they could of sent reps to meet people to tell them where the bus was waiting, which would of saved time instead of waiting for everyone to find the bus.
Felt they didnât encourage people to more with their holiday. But overall a great holiday would go again nice pleasant quiet resort went to Magalluf for the nightlife which was 3 euro by taxi."

"Altough it rained all week that we were there
(june 2004) we still had an exellent holiday at the hotel tropico playan palma nova!
The hotel was fantastic and clean and we had a sea view, which was amazing!
the food was not to great and altough we were half board we chose to eat out most nights!
there was just not a lot of variety especially when your a fussy eater like me!
the rooms were very spacious and the bathrooms were lovely, the cleaners came everday!
there is a great chilled out bar next door to the hotel but just 5 minutes away and your in the centre of magaluf!
i would definatly recommend this hotel again! there's loads to do and it is a beautiful place!
not one to miss out on!"

The Tropico Playa Hotel was lovely. Only...
"The Tropico Playa Hotel was lovely. Only a 3* but it was clean. Helpful staff. Air-conditioning in every room for free (great!). The hotel is just across road from the beach. The furniture in room was basic but comfortable with large bathroom and all spotless. The food was good, maybe not a massive choice but enough to get something to suit. The only complaint was the small entertainments area, which was full of smokers and for a non-smoker was hard to stand. There are plenty of shops and bars nearby.
The flight was with Volar air. This is the first time I have ever been given a sandwich of dry bread with a thin slice of either process cheese or pressed turkey as food and a glass of water! A cup of tea was £1!
On arrival the reps didnât know which bus to send us to and after the third bus we were finally put on the right one. After a two-hour change in flight time, then a 3-hour delay at airport we arrived at our hotel at 5.30am to receive an invite to the welcome meeting at 10.30am! (We lost a day of holiday with delays) needless to say we didnât go.
The only tour we booked with the rep was a Pirate show, which we were informed we had to make our own way there by taxi and to meet at the local pub for 7.30pm. We arrived at a bar in a seedy area to be told the show didnât start till 11pm and that we wouldnât be going to the venue till 9.30pm so much for rushing for 7.30pm.
Even on departure home the rep sent us to the wrong check- in desk. So overall impression of holiday company was not great.!
An enjoyable holiday, donât know if I would go with the same holiday company again.

"For all you mid 20âs out there who feel Ibiza is full of kids these days but you still want to party then Magalluf is the place.
Jam packed with pubs and clubs not forgetting BCMâs where you pay 15 euros and the bar is free all night (including mind blowing cocktails) you are certain to party hard. Not in the party mood one evening then take advantage of the vast amount of restaurants from Chinese to Indian or Spanish to your regular fish and chips, the options are endless. The best thing is, itâs all in walking distance, no taxiâs or bus routes to work out everything is there even your theme nights and water parks.
The beach is sandy as ever, the sea blue as the sky with plenty of activities to spend your money on and at a fair price to. My mate and I stayed at a self catering hotel cause lets face it if your not walking in at 6 in the morning then your never up for breakfast, so if your going for the booze then s/c comes highly recommended. Our facilities were of high standard as well, all the kitchen modcons two living quarters and a bathroom that didnât flood every time you brushed your teeth.
All in all itâs the best 2 weeks Iâve ever spent on hols so far and will definitely be going back. Have fun rockers woohoo!"
