Loved the Hotel
"Easy to reach from the airport - 2Euro on the number 1 bus, alight at first stop after the bus has turned off the coast road and the hotel is signed from there. Less than 10 minute walk and good introduction to the old Arab quarter.
Staff were really very friendly and helpful - explained possibilities for eating (esp Sunday when much is closed), visiting the sights, warning of marathon and street closures, times of trains to Soller, even organised car hire and had car delivered direct to hotel - it made it all so easy.
The rooms are great, we had room 4 - yes it was at the front and quite noisy from the traffic with just the louvre doors, so suggest a room at the back. Spa and roof both excellent facilities.
Breakfast delicious, can't really recommend the snack menu for any other time.

"The hotel is some 15min from the airport/under 15 euros one way on what could be described as a very pleasurable drive near the sea and then through the small roads of the old town.
The hotel is a beautiful combination of old exposed bricks and 4-5 meters high ceilings (prob only on the first floor) with clean cut modern lines and a gorgeous terrace above the second floor with amazing but limited views towards the sea and west with nice relaxing music and comfy chaise longues. My initial room had a strange 'electrics' noise when everything was switched off during the night, but the staff immediately moved me to the Junior suite - good, swift idea - thank you guys. They are ever so friendly and relaxed - they immediately put me in holiday mood.
The hotel is located some 5min walk to the old Arab Baths and then La Seu Cathedral, Almudaina Palace and some great museusm. Cross the road and you will find plenty of good restaurants in Apundators and nearby roads, but expect the staff to fall madly in love with you in 5min, ha ha. Original Spanish stuff can be found from Placa Marques de Palmer, going north on San Miguel and nearby roads.
Oh, not to forget, try the hotel's toiletries, simply divine!"

Impeccably stylish hideaway
"The location is perfect for exploring old town. The mattresses are perfect for a good sleep. The spa with jacuzzi and saunas is perfect for evening relaxation. The rooftop area is perfect for sunbathing. The breakfast buffet is healthy and elegant. The interior design is very stylish. The staff is very helpful.
This is an ideal urban hotel."

Great location, fantastic rooms
"I stayed here for 4 nights in Feb 2009 with my wife and daughter. This hotel is fantastic for a city break in Palma only minutes away on foot to the main shopping area and less than 5 minutes away on foot from the cathedral. The roof terrace overlooks the cathedral and is a geat place to sun bathe or just chill and overlook the city.
I would say his hotel is ideal for a romantic getaway as its small and intimate (onl 20 rooms) however the staff were very friendly towards my 7 year old and she was more than welcome to use the spa area which we mainly ha use of to ourselves the days we were there.
The hotel has been open less than a year and shows this as its nipping clean and in a good state or repair all round, the only reason I can see the hotle is not 5 star is due to its lack of facilties, ie pool etc...."

"Our travel was in December, so not particularly a busy period, but nevertheless a great way to escape the big city and relax. Santa Clara was what we wanted. It wasn't too far from the cathedral, and located in the Old Town, very good area to walk around, get lost, and enjoy. The location was approx 10-15 mins to the shopping areas and to the restaurant area. There was a really good family restaurant just buildings away that's not often open, but a lovely treat!
We stayed 2 nights in a standard double room, which was at very good standard. The modern look suited us, and had plenty of space! Very clean as well, due to the hotel being newly renovated. We also used the rooftop deck to relax and enjoy views of the cathedral and the sea, as well as the basement spa/sauna/steamroom area - well worth it! We had the area to ourselves the first night, but on the 2nd night, there was a big group, and someone had broken the handle at the spa.
Our last night we were in a suite, with our own spa (amazing!) and split level room, with roof window. It was definitely a lovely room, too bad we didn't have much more time to spend there!
The concierge are really friendly and provide you with their knowledge of where to go."

Modern Comfort in the Old City
".We spent three nights, including New Year's Eve, in this lovely boutique hotel, which opened last April. The former old mansion now holds 20 guest rooms and a spa with many offerings, including massages. Its location in Palma's historic center is quiet and close to numerous attractions, such as the cathedral and the Palau March.
Our immaculate standard room was huge with a 14-foot beamed ceiling and stone walls. It overlooked a garden and the Santa Clara convent. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable and the flat-screen TV offered many English channels. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower. Bathrobes and slippers came with the room.
Every staff member we met proved to be friendly and helpful. They ensured that guests had a special New Years by delivering a bottle of champagne to the rooms and grapes. (It is a New Year's tradition in Mallorca to eat a grape for each stroke of the clock at midnight.) They also had special pastries available and little gifts for the guests under the Christmas tree.
This is a great little hotel ... I give it my highest recommendation."

Great Modern Hotel with Friendly Staff- B&B Atmosphere
"The Santa Clara is hiding in the alleys of Old Town Palma, but when you find it, you know you have found something special!
For our family of two adults and two teenagers it worked out great. The only complaint I had was the noise level (thin walls and we were outside the front desk), but all else was terrific!
The room was huge! We had to ask the front desk if they would cover the window looking into the shower (no problem for couples, big issues for teenagers)! The staff was so accomodating- especially the lady from Sweden (sorry could not find name- but maybe we will see her at the ICE Hotel!, and Carlos the Food sercive specialist)!! Staying just off the main floor, and because it was off season, we just walked around like a bed and breakfast. The hotel had a laptop with Wifi that we were able to bring to our room anytime we liked- this was very helpful!
This is a new hotel that is very clean with a modern, but warm feel. It is in walking distance to all of old town and beyond. The staff really makes the hotel!"

Peace & Comfort in the Historical heart of Palma
"Brand new modern style hotel. Friendly and considerate staff. Pristine rooms. Good breakfast if you want it. Fantastic jacuzzi bath in suites. Comfy rooftop terrace.10 minutes walk to shops and Cathedral. 15 minutes stroll to the main restaurant district, La Lonja. Located in a quiet street in the historical part of the city - two minutes from the convent of the same name and the enchanting 'Arab baths' and garden. Very good local taverna (Xelini) just a few doors down from the hotel - but you must book. Enjoyed a very pleasant week. Will look forward to coming back again"

Santa Clara - Perfect hotel
"This hotel is a gem, it has only been open for a few months so everything is absolutely brand new. The staff are really friendly and can't do enough for you. Hotel is spotless, very cool and trendy, roof terrace rocks too. My boyfriend and I recently stayed for a week and we sunbathed on the terrace a few times, as the place only has 16 rooms we had the terrace pretty much to ourselves.
Location is good too, 5min walk to main bar/restaurant area and close to beach. Rooms are lovely and have everything you need. I would love to go back, great place!"

Superb hotel in Palma Old Town!
"We stayed for one night to see something of Palma before heading north for a week on the island and the Hotel Santa Clara proved an inspired choice!
The hotel is in the Old Town, so away from the hustle, bustle & commercialism of the big hotels around the harbour but near enough to walk to the sights, shops & restaurants. The peaceful location was an excellent way to start our holiday!
The hotel itself has only been opened a few months. The decor is boutique and our room was really nice - minimalist furniture, a lovely comfy bed, widescreen TV with international channels, and a terrific bathroom with wetroom shower.
The hotel has a spa downstairs but we didn't use it as we were on a flying visit. However, we did use the rooftop terrace which was fabulous - wooden decking with white sofas and beanbags and a rooftop view of the cathedral and the sea. Brilliant! And again so peaceful...
The staff were all really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They directed us to an excellent seafood restaurant and drew the whereabouts of bars for us on a streetmap. It was so good to stay somewhere where the staff had time to chat and it all added to the relaxed vibe of the place.
We would certainly stay here again next time we visit Palma and I hope that the Santa Clara gets the success that it deserves!"

Fantastic hotel in a perfect location
"We have just come back from a 3 night stay at this newly opened hotel. It was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished, with a large and comfortable bed. The price of the standard double was excellent compared to other similar hotels. Our advice would be to ask for a room on the first or second floor. Although there was no balcony, there is a sun terrace on the roof with 3 separate areas which was empty every time we went up there. The views over Palma are fantastic from the roof top and it was great to have outside speakers up there.
The staff were very helpful and really friendly. The gentleman who works in the hotel bar and serves breakfast is a true gem - he really seems to want you to have the best holiday possible. The breakfast buffet is of excellent quality with a really good choice. Downstairs is a small spa, including a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and waterbed. Again, it was often empty because there are only 20 rooms.
Finally, the location of the hotel couldn't be bettered. It is very close to the cathedral, down one of the cobbled streets of the old quarter. Within walking distance of the nightlife area, but very quiet. Within walking distance of the shops. And with a great tapas restaurant (La Taberna de Caracol) just down the street."
