An excellent choice
"Stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed the experience. We received a very efficient and pleasant reception before accessing our rooms which were both spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. The hotel is in a very central location and served an excellent breakfast which was included in our room rate. We did not dine in the hotel but did enjoy pre-dinner drinks at very reasonable prices on the street terrace. The only very tiny flaw was that there is only one lift so that might require a short wait but this is certainly no reason to discount this well above average and very good value hotel."

Palma modern chic
"We had been to Palma lots of times, mainly by boat, and knew it as an exciting city with lots of good restaurants, shops and bars and a great buzz. We wanted a central hotel to reflect the character of the place and found it at the Jaime III. It is just on the edge of town but walking distance to all the main tourist sights - minutes from the great modern gallery, Es Baluard, and the shopping street of Jaume III. The hotel design is modern enough to be exciting but is still a very comfortable base. And the buffet breakfasts are the best ever. The rooms overlooking the avenida have balconies and despite the noise are well worth having. Great value for money."

Great choice, perfect if your at the front that is....
"We stayed here for 5 days in July, having booked the hotel on actice holidays.com. The hotel is immaculate, one of the cleanest hotels i have ever stayed in!! The linen was changed along with the towels on a daily basis!! Now for the important stuff, this is a hotel of 2 halves, what I mean by this is that if you are unfortunate enough to get a room at the back of the hotel it will put a dampner on your break, we were given room 810 when we arrived but promptly complained about the room before being moved to the front of the hotel. The room we were given faced directly and I mean directly on to offices along with private appartments with washing hanging outside the windows on dryers, the view was grim!!!! After complaining we were moved to room 805 and boy what a room!!!! Much much larger with a decked sun terrace overlooking the city down towards the marina and across to the spanish mountains, I mean this room was WOW. Very modern inside, newly furbed witha Soncy CD system, 28" TV with English channels if you hunt and A/C unit to die for. We had breakfast on the terrace of our room overlooking the city a couple of times. As for location, 10 out of 10, you couldnt wish for a more central location, the main shops are about a 2/3 minute walk around the corner with the tourist buses stopping about 150yds from the hotel. There are 5 restaurants dotted outside the hotels which are all excellent, the food served from the hotel was fantastic but very limited in choice. All in all this is an excellent hotel, well finished with first class service and friendly staff. Just make sure you get a room at the front!!!!!! Try for 805 its a cracker. Ps. There is only 1 lift serving the entire hotel so be prepared to wait."

"My wife and I along with 4 other married couples have just returned from the Jaime 111, Ave Jaime 111, Palma Mallorca. After booking in for a 3 night ` long weekend` stay. The hotel overall is very good however the rooms do differ in size. My room (408) was a fair old size, with bathroom, 3 beds, and a table and chairs, however the window overlooked the rear of the hotel and was not a nice view. Another room was 108, this was on the first floor and was subject to street/road noise with the added bonus of cockroaches in the bath. This is the only floor at the front of the hotel that does not have balcony`s. By far the better rooms and of a decent size were to be found on the top floor (floor 9) 902 and 904 were very good with superb views. This is not meant to be a negative report for the hotel is of good quality, very modern, and cockroaches excepted, very clean. Just one thing, I booked direct with the hotel, 7 months in advance, (Good job I did, for it was fullybooked for weeks ahead when we got there) and got a discounted rate and breakfast included. Other wise breakfast is 10euros per person. Yes we would go again."

nice hotel with great location!
"We have just returned from Mallorca. We spent 4 days in Palma at the Jaime III. We had got a triple room wich was large but with an ugly backyard view !! I'm sure that the rooms with balcony and canal views are much better, but I have made the reservation on the Hotel website and they did not have that option!! The location is excellent,a walking distance to the historic center as well as the port. The bus touristic stop is close to the Hotel. Good breakfast with attentive staff, in special Ms Gloria del Rio! There are many shops and restaurants in the area! We have tryed the Forn de Sant Joan in the center and The Brunello in calle Santiago Ramon y Cajal ( near the Hotel),and both were excellente!! The staff at the reception was kind and helpfull! Palma is a lovely city! The weather was fantastic with a lots of sun!!"

great breakfast with bucks fizz
"My husband and i stayed at this hotel in the middle of march and we had a great time. The hotel room was nice ,although the view to the back was a little boring ,to say the least. However we were not in the room allday.Centrally located. Breakfast was great and you could have bucks fizz or a cava everyday if you wished. The staff are frendly and helpful. Palma is a lovely city to visit and the sunny weather was made it even better.Take a walk to the harbour and see the many yaughts and boat. There's a few nice bars with veranda's to have a drink or two. Loads of nice shops, restaurants and tapas bars. If you get the chance and you have plenty of money go to the ABACHO bar in the town. The drink prices are huge but its well worth the visit. The place is full of flowers and fruit. TRY IT !!!"

"I stayed at the HM Jaime III with my sister for 3 nights at the beginning of April. We arrived at midnight and as seen in another review for this hotel we were placed in a x10 room next to the cleaning cupboards - this turned out to be very noisy in the morning. We requested a change to a balcony room the next day and though we had to take a smoking room the change was effected without any trouble. The 2nd room was much larger as well as having a balcony and we thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our stay. The breakfasts were good and we ate in the restaurant one evening to find the food and wine were excellent for the price. The hotel is extremely trendy and the reception staff were very helpful and provided any tourist info on request but we did think a stand with printed info leaflets would be a distinct improvement to the lobby area. We would not hesitate to stay there again but would remember on arrival next time to request a room away from the cleaning cupboard."

"My boyfriend and I stayed here in April 2006. The location is excellent, the bus from the airport cost 2 Euro's and dropped us right outside. The shops, bars, restaurants are within a 3 minute walk, the Marina and cathedral about 8-10 minutes. The hotel is very clean, trendy and modern. The room was a reasonable size with all mod cons including a CD player (take your own CD's though). Breakfast was on a continental basis, but there was plenty. The only snag was the Spa, we tried it out on our first night, however, the water in the Jacuzzi was luke warm, the sauna and steam rooms were switched off. We would definately stay here again, well worth a try!"

"We have just come back from 5 nights staying at the Jaime 111 in Palma. Lovely big clean stylish room with a balcony overlooking the street and canal. Good soundproofing so no noise (or maybe we just slept well in the comfortable beds). Breakfast 10euros was a good buffet, available until 10.30 with fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, bacon and eggs, different breads and pastries. Our breakfast was included in the price so it meant we did not need to spend much on food during the day. There is a cafe next door where you can get a breakfast of coffee and rolls for around 3euros if you prefer. The restaurant in the hotel does lunches and evening meals too - we ate there a couple of evenings and the food was very good - pasta for around 9euros. The hotel is in easy walking distance of the shops, the art galleries and the sea views - I have recently had a knee operation and cannot walk far, so my definition of 'easy walking distance' really means that! The bus to and from the airport stops just outside. Would recommend this hotel for both its location and its comfort and facilities."

Chic hotel, Excellent value
"Very chic hotel, tasteful, modern decoration and looks as though its been refurbished very recently. Spacious rooms, each with CD player. Staff were very helpful and location also very good - 10 minutes walk to the cathedral. Integral cafe serves excellent hot buffet breakfast (as well as fruit, selection of cheeses and breads etc), for just 10 euros. Overall, very classy and excellent value."
