Not for family's but my best holiday
"I went here about a month ago and I've to say it was honestly the best holiday I've ever had, it was all full of younger people so it was loud and most nights we ended up in other in our room or in someone room for after party's. Lots of doors where left open if someone was having a party and I never heard any stories of people getting robbed, or hurt. The reps were great at organizing nights/ trips out. The dj started at 11 every morning and went on til late Only problem we had with this hotel was that they won't let other people into it, which is kind of a good thing. Right beside the beach, strip, BCM and BCM square. As a group when we were booking most people told us to go with Mallorca rocks, but half of our group booked to late to get it and so ended up in fiesta Sahara, the half that stayed in Mallorca rocks wished they'd been in fiesta as it was much better, with more things going on, music played and better organized nights out. Reps were extremely helpful with any problems you came to them with, ( for example I needed a money transfer as my cards wouldn't work) also the day I arrived as I was walking through the corridor a cleaner came out and handed me a bottle or peach snapps! Didn't drink it but lovely thought"

"When i first arrived at the hotel with 8 mates it looked alright then we got inside and saw about 9 drunkards lying on the floor passed out and realised it must be a pretty scummy hotel you arrive there and pay a 30 euro deposit for the room which is fair enough i left my passport behind the desk as i didn't want it getting stolen after you check in they fit you with a wrist band which was flimsy as hell mine broke off 3 times and cost 10 euros each time to replace which is a bit of a bloody liberty in my opinion got to our rooms and they were ok nothing special but for a self catering holiday the appliances sucked the stove barely heated the fridge was almost as warm as the room and the surfaces were filthy but seeing as it was a lads holiday we didn't really care the absolute WORST part of this hotel are the annoying little men they call "security" boys and girls if your thinking of bringing anyone who isn't staying at the hotel back to your room then forget it before you can even touch the step you've got some annoying 5'2 spanish man who most likely got bullied at school in your face and telling your "friend" to go away. The maids are terrible aswell they don't really clean anything it got to a point were i had to tell the maid to get out and do the cleaning myself overall i'd say its a very poor hotel with miserable staff shoddy rooms annoying reps rubbish food and a bunch of holiday makers who are just as ticked off as you for booking the hotel that's not to say i didn't enjoy my time in maga the place it's self is one of the best party destinations i've ever been too and i'd definitely go again but i would never want to spend another day in this hotel again "

Never Again ....... in this hotel
"This hotel was below expectations. Although the staff work really hard to keep clean and maintain communal areas it is unfortunatley abused be loud, rude, disrespectful people. They have an impossible job to do. The pool area needs a total revamp it had no holiday atmosphere. The lifts were daubed in graffiti and smelled of urine. The rooms were clean however there were stains on towels, the shower did not work properly despite us reporting it on arrival. Overal the reps were friendly, however went to the pirates reloded show where they were meant to refill jugs and did not see one of them all night. They give you the hard sell take your money and dont acknowledge you.....bad customer service. The hotel takes 30 euros off you upon arrival for damages. The hotel is in a good position for , shops , beach and magaluf strip. If you looking for somewhere to eat you will get good food and service at Tom Browns. I would not go back to this hotel. As a group we will take our money elsewhere....... "

Don't bother if you want sleep
"Well on the plus side the apartment was clean and no robberies what I heard about but if your a family it's a definite no no, swearing, in the pool at 5.30am then the music starts, shouting from balcony to balcony, chairs being thrown down from rooms, complained to rep not interested, if your under 25 go here otherwise your way to old and change hotel before you go because Thomson will do nothing whilst your there."

great holiday needs more attention on the hotel
"Magaluf is a great place, absolutely amazing night life, boozing every night up at early hours, went with 5 other mates. The hotel receptionists arent very sociable when it comes to speaking to them, they always make you look the fool whether you are right, the security guard moaned at us for making a bit of noise however other people were throwing things off the balcony. KEEP you receipts at the end of your holiday whether it is for your safe, and for the room, make sure it is in a safe place and at the end of the holiday hand them back to the receptionist. If your under 30 or have kids dont go here noise level will be terrible for the kids trying to sleep, but definitely recommend it for teens :)"

excellent but would not go in peak when the loonies are there
"stayed at the fiesta last september(2011) reports were very poor and i had reservations but it is absolutley fab and going back sep this year (2012) the hotel is clean and tidy and plenty of security staff at night built like brick sh-t houses so no trouble do not leave any valubles in your room one cleaner came into our room several times one day leaving thick wooly blankets 80 degrees plus very iffy she did not realise we were on the balcony and swiftly left we reported this and they said they were monitoring things. but we can not fault any thing at all if you have young ones go there may or september between the loonies youll want to go back i garantee that fiesta sahara fore ever "

"Basically, travelled here with 4 other girls all 18 the same as me. It was our first girls holiday without parents and we were really looking forward to it. Magaluf itself is great if your young as the strip is very lively and there's plenty of bars and clubs. Upon arriving at the fiesta sahara we had to hand over deposits in case there was any damage done to the rooms which you were given back at the end of the holiday if your room was undamaged. We were given a room at the back of the hotel facing basically a long road which was full of rubbish and some long grass. The rooms were basic but thats all we really wanted as we didnt plan on spending that much time in the room anyway. Problems with the hotel included not being able to get around the pool even at a decent hour in the morning. we noticed a lot of people were putting their towels out at night time so once when we got home at around 5am we went to do the same only to find all the sunbeds took! there is a on site shop which was relativley average priced and the lady there was lovely always saying thankyou and hello. the other staff however wernt very friendly although when we experienced some trouble one night which included my friend getting a boiling hot pot noodle thrown at her from the above balcony it was sorted immediatley by the on site security guard and hotel manager. the group who did it were thrown out. something i will add about magaluf is that you need to be careful. there are lots of black women who walk around the resort who are prostitutes and they rob people. me and my friends spotted this straight away and one night we even witnessed a british man being mugged in the street, the women ran off with his wallet and although people tried to help she got away. We could see the women from our balconys preying on young and middle aged drunk men when they were on their own. we found this very disturbing and all felt very on edge the rest of our holiday. there were also 2 chinese women on the beach who walked around asking if you wanted a massage. we witnessed these 2 women robbing a womans bag and running off. we told the beach man who you paid for the beds from and he explained to us this was an ongoing problem and there simply was not enough police in magaluf so the problem was ignored. like i said me and my friends noticed this straight away and we were really concerned by how everyone else seemed oblivious towards such dangers. all in all an 'okay' holiday and the apartments were okay, not luxury but its not that type of holiday. "1 week stay from Oct 11 - 18 2011 party of 2 adults and a 14 year old. I will admit to going with a bit of trepidation having read some of the comments, but need not have worried. It was OK for what we paid. Complex is bigger than I was used to,I reckon 280 apartments with quite a few young families there, but the noise level was not that bad. Entertainment was very good and catered for all and went on until late. Staff were friendly and efficient.I would go again in October (not sure about high season but that would go for Magaluf in general at that time). No word of any robberies or any all night parties happening during our stay I wonder if these reports were written by the vocal minority and the satisfied majority passed on praise by word of mouth."

dont go hear with family
"Family holiday, a dont think so. more like 18-30,s club. booked this as a family holiday for eight of us as we have stayed hear before and had a great time. But unfortunately this time around it was a disaster from the moment we got there. There was four adults two children and one infant and one baby, thought we would of had good view as we were a family but no they gave us a view of a dirty back allyway where they get deliveries and the bin men wake you up at seven in the morning.these appartments faced on to other appartements so you had no privacy and all the young groups of lads and lasses were put hear aswell so you can imagine the noise it was horrible my kids cried for the first few days.Lads and lasses throwing things off the balconies like chairs, glasses, bottles, and screaming on all night long and banging on doors.our one and a half grandchild found canabis on our balconie and had it in her mouth. We asked to be moved every day and all reception said was we will try and move you when a room becomes available. We never did get moved.Love the resort but will never ever stay at the fiesta sahara again.feel like we been robbed saved all year round to be dissapointed like this.feel really let down as we were told it was for family,s."
