Can't wait til we go again!

"We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Aquasol, and we can't wait until we go there again! We booked the trip last minute through Holiday Hypermarket, and I can assure you that you won't be disappointed. The hotel is in a great location, whether you want to go clubbing every night or want to just relax for the whole time. In fact, the hotel was so great, Kev and I rarely left the bar - I'm sure Kev would have drunk them out of lager if he had the chance! The reps are great - whilst we were there, the reps were Gav, Dan and Lorna and they were always around if you needed them. All the staff speak English, so there's no need to try and mime what you want to say; or in true Brit style of speaking at half-speed to the staff so they understand you!
Apart from Wednesday night (when we went to Son Amar, which is worth a visit), we stayed in to see all of the wonderful entertainment. From Rock Tribute band Diesel and Ian Duncan (I was straight up there for a CD) to Elvis impersonator, through to Zommm - it was all well organised. Normally a hotel would only have one night entertainment, but here they have something on 7 nights a week. J.P and Yvonne are great entertainers, and you can have a chat and a laugh with them. We didn't see Suzanne much during the week, but if the other 2 are anything to go on, I'm sure she's great fun as well. Make sure you play the bingo - you win vouchers to spend around the hotel. And it is great fun - not an old grannies game! We are trying to make it back at the end of the summer - if not, as soon as we can afford to, we'll be straight back there! If you do nothing else in 2004, go to the Aquasol!
You won't regret it!"

First time in this complex

"Have just returned from the Aquasol(24 01 004). All in all the complex
was clean and tidy, but the thing that spoiled it for me was the
extortionate bar prices. I purchased the same round of drinks 3 times
and was charged a different price every time,so beware of the rip off
bar staff. The food was very good ,but again expensive. There has been
much talk about the so called night security guard, but we found him to
be very friendly and helpfull when we returned to the complex in the
wee small hours, not the ogre that some people make him out to be.

I would highly recommend the Orion pub on Son Mathias. This bar sells
some of the finest and cheapest food in the resort. We have been coming
to the resort for the last 10 years and always make this establishment
our first choice for eating.
Just before you get to the Orion, there is a splendid Chinese restraunt on the other side of the road, who do a banquet for only 10e per head plus free drinks.

If you are looking for fantastic free entertainment, then I would
recommend a visit to the Son Mathias Hotel, just down the road from the
Orion, but you can only get in after 9pm,not bad for free.

In summing up,I would say that the Aquasol is not a bad place to stay
and one of the better s/c complexes on the island."

"the hotel aqquasol was great we all had al great time. thehotel is situated 2 mins from the palmanova beaches yes thats right theres 2 and right next to each other. there is also the magalluf beach whick is 5 mins from the hotel. the centre of magalluff is about 7 mins from hotel. the hotel is the best i have ever stayed in.the best was probably the entertainmant you have to mention j.p , rob and yvonne they were absalutely fantastic. they were there when you woke up to the moment you go to bed. there are a lot of activities during the day and then theres allsorts at night times. the staff are friendly apart from the night security gaurd who thinks he just came out of the spanish army and he cant speak english(so as you can imagine if you book in after midnight he will be really usefull)but everything else is great. the pool is exellent with a poolside bar and cafe surving food all day. there are no liftsbut there are not many stares as this is an aparthotel so theres only3 floors in each block.you definetly want to go here it is so great."

Pretty Darn Good

"6 of us arrived at the Aquasol on Saturday 29th November. We were impressed with the complex it was extremely clean and tidy. On Check in the staff dealt with everbody very quickly and efficiently although one female member of reception staff did get a bit rude toward one guest.
The apartments themselves were very clean and quite spacious with a good amount of storage space. Only real criticism of the room was the lighting, a bit dingy for our liking. The entertainment for kids during the day was non existant although we were warned about this and I suppose so late in the season it was to be expected. The evening entertainment programme wasn't much better to be honest and again, to be expected I suppose. Playing bingo every night isn't my idea of holiday entertainment. Our rep Gavin was a complete star, very friendly and informative and nothing was too much trouble. JP the main host was brilliant he had time for everyone and brightened the boring bingo up surprisingly well. The entire staff from the cleaning ladies to the bar people were very friendy and helpful especially with the children. A couple of criticisms. The bar prices were too high, we resorted to having drinks before we went out rather than pay their prices. The prices charged in the mini shop are a complete joke and bear no relation to the prices you pay for the same items outside in the shops.
If you are going at this time of year please do consider that most of the resort has closed down and if the weather is poor you may struggle to find things to do to entertain smaller children, and older children will probably bleed you dry by asking for money to use in the again, overpriced arcade. We only had one meal in the hotel and although expensive it was of a very high standard. We found a little place called the Orion (left out of hotel and first right, up on the right hand side just after the arcade) the meals were of a good standard and were great value for money. Would we go again??? Yes we would but we would definitely choose to go during the high season so that even if the weather let us down there would probably be more to do and see. We would not recommend it to the elderly or those with several young children only because there are lots of stairs and no lifts."

"Fantastic! The staff are keen to help, the half-board food and entertainment were great and the hotel is a stones-throw from both the beach at Palmanova and the bars and entertainment of Magalluf. Went with Thomas Cook and would rate this as one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Full Marks."
