A real treat for the family!
"We were 4 adults on holiday in May 2011. This is a real family hotel and no good if you are adults wanting a child free location. The hotel was very clean. The rooms are small and basic but cleaned on a daily basis. The walls are thin so you do get noise from showers, toilets flushing etc from adjoining rooms. The food caters for the English. We did not have one bad meal. The variety and standard of food was excellent. The entertainment staff are excellent and very friendly. There are various activities on during the day. The evening shows start with music and dancing for the kids followed by bingo then a show. The standard and variety of shows were very good. The pools are kept clean. It is a pain having all drinks in small plastic cups and only being allowed two at a time so there are queues and not many staff behind the bar on a daytime but they soon clear on an evening. Overall a very good holiday where we met some lovely people and enjoyed the time here very much. Enjoy!!!"

a brilliant holiday
"We went to on holiday to Club Tonga in July 2011. We had read mixed reviews and some of them had me worried about what to expect.
We had the best holiday. Everything was clean, food was brilliant and dining room was spotless. My son can be a very fussy eater and he managed to find something to eat every night. The children enjoyed getting the snacks by the pool and being able to get their own drinks etc. My husband and daughter had a go at scuba diving and the instructers were excellect.
C'an Picafort is a beautiful resort, so clean and a gorgeous beach.
My only gripe would be the lifts but they were not as bad as some people have said.
If you are looking for a great family holiday don't hesitate.

CHP- "Te Necesito"
"A last minute booking turned out to be the best holiday ever! Not much in Portinatx itself but, you don't need anything more with an all inclusive holiday in such a fantastic location. Food and drink great and plenty of it. Entertainment team brilliant and good fun. Service excellent. Own beach with bar, beautiful! Hidden Gem. Would love to go back. The icing on the cake was the most beautiful girl in the world on the bar. Te amo Anca! "

excellent value for money
"We stayed at club hotel Tonga for 1week 7th -14 sept, had a brilliant time and made some good friends. The room was basic (but we were only in there for an hour on a night to get ready) and cleaned every single day with new towels. The food was very good with a varied menu - I always came away stuffed...
The daytime entertainers were very good and try and get everyone involved. (most of the people who say the entertainment was rubbish are probably the ones who never got involved) Ok yes, the tiles around the pool were slippery but most pools in Spain are, our son was 18months old whilst we were there and he was fine, we just kept him in swimming shoes.
The night time entertainment was also adequate and carried out by the same daytime entertainers who worked their socks off. Also entertainment was mainly in english.
Getting only 2 drinks at a time was a bit of a chore but we were never waiting for more than 3 or 4 mins even when busy.
Lifts were busy so ask for a low floor.
There is a large supermarket on the main road next to the hotel if anything is needed and the beach is only 5 mins walk away.
All in all a great holiday and good value for money. you get what you pay for. If you want the ritz pay the ritz money.
Cheap and cheerful and does what it says on the tin...

"Just returned from club tonga and i cant understand the bad comments. My wife and i along with our 2 children(aged 4 and 5) had a brilliant time. The hotel itself was very clean, rooms cleaned daily and clean towels eveyday. The food was good(different meats every night)and tasted very good. As for the entertainment we couldn't have asked for more. The children were entertained throughout the day and then they had the mini disco till nine. The shows which were for the adults were very entertaining. As for the bar staff, they were pleasent enough(they worked from 10am till midnight so i dont think i would be jolly every second of the day)All in all a great hotel for familys with children and the resort of can picafort was great.Your holiday is what you make it. "Just got back after 10 nights holiday so here goes -
After the initial shock of the size of the Hotel we were pleasently surprised by the reception area which was good. However we had the first floor room opposite the stairs and lifts hence every night was something similar to a mental hospital with all the screaming and constant noise, our view was the roof - not good.
The room was cleaned everyday so no complaints there
The nightime entertainment was an absolute joke I would have expected something more than the usual reps trying their best(but failing miserably).
The two drinks rule is crazy especially with the size of the cups also the bar staff we are bit miserable.
The restaurant was okay and the quality of the food was good enough, it was a bit of a scrum at times though.
Our Thomas Cook rep was hardly seen so was disapointed with this as well.
Overall we wouldnt go back due to the poor nightime entertainment, drinks rule, poor Thomas Cook rep and the nightime noise - Shame as it could be a lot more and Can Picafort is a lovely place."

dont go there
"All i can say about this hotal was it was clean. If you like PORK you would be ok it was pork every day for dinner and tea and jelly and ice cream for pudding. The bar was very silly the queue was all way about a 10 min wait and you could only get 2 drink. I also payed full price for my 1 year old and there would not even give him drink that he can drink there said there have water but it was there tap water. The pool was very cold and really slippery title around the child pool nobody could walk on it there was no life guards or an one watch the pools at an time. The Staff was very rude and i dont think there know how to smile. The entament was very poor and nobody enjoyed it it was all for germans.
Will not be useing this hotal again worse holiday i have had. "

Could Do better
"Have just returned from the Club Tonga and have to say that although we enjoyed our break the hotel and facilities were not up to a 3 star rating.
The food was by far the best bit about the hotal although more staff are needed in the dining area as there are always dirty tables to be cleaned.
The 2 drinks policy is a joke as the cups are very small and there are always people waiting at the bar and the barmen are very miserable and could do with a happy pill.
The entertainment people work very hard but surely a hotel of this size could bring in external entertainment for at least a couple of nights per week. All the shows are join in and for the children this is good but for adults......... i dont think so.
The childrens clubs and day time activities are very good and the hotel could be a great place if they only tried to vary the entertainment, employed more staff and got away from the ridcioulous two drinks policy, i am afraid we will not be returning to the Club Tonga"
