Enjoyed my holiday but .......
"Just back from holiday at the Hotel Tonga. What can I say? The hotel was clean and rooms basic. Pool area could have done with more beds other than the numerous chairs and tables. Restaurant staff and bar staff were mostly not friendly but the maids on the other hand were and they did a magnificent job of keeping the rooms clean. Drinks served in plastic cups all day is not enjoyable particularly if it's meant to be a cocktail drink. The food was mediocre, cold by the time you sat down, not much of a choice and all cuts of meat were cheap either very fatty or full of bones. The crunch for me came when I discovered boiled eggs in recycled veg soup. Gave me the jaundice and completely put me off eating at the restaurant. Also the restaurant is unable to accommodate the amount of guests if they all decide to go at the same time as happened one rainy day. Location was good and beach not to far. Busy but clean. On the whole I would go back to Can Pica Fort but not Club Hotel Tonga. 6/10."

Clean, friendly, brilliant holiday
"Hotel was basic but spotless, thoroughly cleaned several times throughout the day, staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, food was very good, well presented and a big selection at every meal time to suit all tastes. 3 pools ensured there was plenty of room for everyone, good location, so we walked to the beach, shops, bars etc., we went on open top sight seeing bus , a boat trip, went to local markets, had a horse and cart ride and took a taxi!!! Only faults were there are only 4 lifts, so you may have to wait a bit.....or take the stairs!! And twice at peek times the hot water was only luke warm rather than hot, but on the whole a thoroughly enjoyable week, and would definitely go back, and definitely recommend to others. "

"Having just returned from 10 days at Club Tonga, my partner and three girls, we would like to say how much we enjoyed ourselves. The food is excellent, the hotel is very clean and the bedrooms are cleaned daily. Found the staff to be very friendly and nothing was to much hassle. 10 minute walk to the beach, albeit somewhat busy, it was clean and the sea was nice and warm. Looking to book again next year, many thanks. "

"Just arrived home from club tonga. And it was great the food was fantastic with a good choice everyday. The hotel and our room was very clean with a excellent maid service. The bar service was good but only 2 small drinks at a time in plastic glasses so you are up and down a lot. The snack bar was very good serving hot dogs, pasta, toasties, salad, chips, burgers. The transfer from airport was not good over 2hrs so I would advise a taxi but we have young children. The hotel is a short walkaway from the lovely beach shops and bars.Very good value for money "

"just back from Club Tonga Hotel with my wife and two friends after a terrific time here.As the worlds fussist eater for the first time in all exclusive i found something different to eat every day,all areas clean and tidy, rooms basic but clean, staff were hard working and friendly,OK there are queues at the bars but i have been to some were its a free for all.As my group are all over fifty we found club tonga great for kids and adults alike, would come back tomorrow brill. The only thing wrong was the pool was colder than the sea, so we went to the beach."

Nice hotel, brill for young families!
"Got back yesterday from club Tonga. Reading the reviews I wasnt expecting much, but it was a nice clean hotel. Yes it was busy, lots of children but nothing to complain about. Staff were abit misrable and plastic cups are a good idea but could have done with pint or half pint cups as the cups we had were tiny! Had a lovely week there, I personally wouldnt return to Tonga but it is a perfect hotel for young families! Had brilliant kids entertainment and plently of sunbeds! Food was ok, something for everyone. Can Picafort is a beautiful place would recomend going to the beach. Overall holiday was good, hotel nice, would recomend young families not young couples or groups like us. Hope you find this helpful."

Club Hotel Tonga - AMAZING!!!
"I originally booked 10 days holiday at this hotel and ended up staying an extra 3 days. It was great. I would highly recommend it to everyone. I agree with previous comments that the food isn't great but it is totally outweighed by the fantastic entertainment staff. Alex is the team leader and has an amazing way with guests. You can see their commitment to the guests and the way they get them all to interact and keep busy is amazing. There are four lifts that never seem to arrive but I was only on the third floor of 14, so it wasn't too bad. The floors can get slippy - so beware. The rooms are basic but are cleaned every day and the hotel is spotless inside and out. "

Fantastic budget holiday
"Just got back from 1 week stay at the Tonga, two adults, all inclusive. Having read some of the reviews, we were a bit concerned, but had a fantastic time. The transfer from the airport to the Tonga took approx 1 hour 45 mins, and the Tonga is the last stop, but we were sat on a comfortable air conditioned coach with beautiful views of Majorca, better than the views on the M25, isnt it? We arrived at the Tonga, and what seemed like the quickest check in ever, made our way to our room on the 5th floor. The room was clean, but basic. No hairdryer, TV remote, or fridge, all these come at extra cost. Towels and bedding was changed daily, leave your towels on the floor if you want fresh ones. Great view of the pool. The pool is fine, plenty of sunbeds. There are four lifts, there did seem to be a lot of people queining, but we just walked the stairs, so if you have small kids or don't like walking, just request a room on the lower floors. You are allowed two drinks per person, we never had to queue more than a couple of minutes for a drink, the bar staff are brilliant, very friendly and efficient. My only complaint about the drinks is the plastic cups are thrown in the bin, I was surprised there is no recylcling faclities, what a waste!! Food-I'm a real foodie so its hard for me not to be overly critical. The food was a bit of a mixed bag, there was a lot of processed food, burgers, deep fried things in 'glow in the dark' breadcrumbs, battery chicken. But on the other hand, there was a lot of salad, home made soup, beef stew, etc. I found it a bit wierd, oh and if you're a vegetarian, then forget it, you'll be eating 'boiled to death' cold pasta and packet tomato sauce all week, there was no other vegetarian food, apart from chips, rice, and salad. The deserts i can only describe as 'nuclear', all packet and brought in, i snuck a peek at the list of ingredients for the 'ice-cream' it read like a science experiment. I found it a bit uncomfortable watching children eating 'chicken' croquettes and chips each day for their lunch. The snack bar is more of the same, deep fried processed food. But, hey, i did warn that im a foodie, so i suppose that 1 week off the wagon doesn't count, right??. The entertainment was great, i was a bit sceptical at first, but i loved it. something for everyone, teens, kids, and adults, loved the adult stuff, though some parents said it was a bit inappropriate for younger kids. The bar can get a bit busy at night, but we managed to find a seat eventually. All the staff at the hotel were friendly. the resort of Can Picafort was a bit quiet for me, but theres your usual array of bars, restaurants and shops. The beach is a five minute walk down the road, it was clean, no litter, plenty of sunbeds. overall i would probably visit the Tonga again, for the price you can''t go wrong. i spent 40 euros all week!!"

"Just back from Club Tonga,What can i say?Food terrible, gave it 2 days and we decided to eat out.Veg all cold, very little variation in the main menu.If you were a vegetarian or a salad lover you were ok.You could only get tea, coffee with your breakfast.....If you wanted it with lunch or dinner you had to go to the pool bar and it was served in a polystyrene cup.Plastic cups for your drinks, half pint at a time, queues constant day and night, drink selection very poor.In any other all inclusive hotel ive been in,if you did not like the local drinks you could purchase normal drinks...not this place. On the plus side the entertainment was second to none for kids, but nothing really for adults, well you cant have adult entertainment, when most of the kids are still running about at midnight. Most of the staff very pleasant, rooms were kept spotless, cleaned every day.Outside the hotel are a few good pubs with reasonably priced food, namely Neil and Annes,Williams and the Oasis bar.the beach was very good and clean,Overall we would go back to the resort but not to the Hotel Tonga 4 out of 10"

Great holiday at Club Tonga
"Just had a 10 night stay on all inclusive and had a great holiday. My wife, 2 friends and their kids and 5 grandkids went in may and had a great time so went on recomendation and wasnt dissapointed.Their were only 2 small downers,1. the transfer time, about 90 minutes,2.The queues at the bar at peak periods(although it doesnt take long to get through, and at peak periods the lift queues but you dont have to wait that long. The food was excellant, plenty of choices, always found a table.nice restaurant, great staff, always had a smile on their faces.Dinner was from 1800 hrs until 2100hrs so plenty of time choices. The entertainment staff were great and put on some good evening shows and were vere very busy doing kids club and adult games, air rifle /archery/boulles/volleyball/football and fun games always with a smile. The bar staff were kept really busy but they gave really good service,The hotel has 2 very nice pools with a great kiddies pool and there is ample room for everyone. It is a pleasant 10minute stroll to the beach which is very nice with a nice prom area with all the usual/ bars/ shops/restaurants.A great place for a holiday, great for families! "Just arrived home from a weeks brilliant holiday at club tonga! We booked this hotel from previous good reviews and I have to say ignore any bad ones you read! Club Tonga seems to be at the end of the transfer which took us around 2 hours, however we enjoyed seeing all the views and therefore didnt seem that long. Do not let this transfer time put you off! We were on floor 5 out of 14 with a pool view and just above the entertainment area which was just the right height to have a fantastic view of the sea. Lifts can get very busy at meal times so its easier to walk, however on the odd occasion where we did wait for a lift it did not take too long. Room was cleaned and tidied everyday only downside of the room was not many plug sockets we had only 2 which were not near a mirror so for the girls was hard to straighten and dry hair. Food was lovely, did not have a bad meal the whole time we were there. I imagine if you were a fussy eater it may be hard to pick what to eat however they always had plenty of salad, veg, pasta and chips. The pool areas were always clean and tidy. Plenty of sun beds around the pool and the garden areas around, we never had to get up early to 'reserve' a sunbed as there were always plenty left over. The entertainment team are absolutely fantastic! Always had acvitivies going on during the day for everyone to get involved with. One of our party went on the mountain bike ride that the entertainers do and would recommend it to anyone that goes. Evening shows were really good too. The beach is only a short 5-10 minute walk down a straight road, never seemed too long to walk there. The beach was lovely with plenty of bars along the seafront. All in all an absolutely lovely place with plenty of activites. Looking to book for next year already!!"
