Around 80km from Palma airport, Calas de Mallorca is an unattractive, purpose built tourist resort on the island's East coast. Built on a cliff top this resort is a family choice with little nightlife. The main beach is Playa Domingos which was recently awarded a blue flag for cleanliness.
There are a number of restaurants serving a range of food, as well as a few small pubs and bars.
A tourist train runs through resort and there are regular bus services to Palma, Alcudia and Manacor. The Caves El Drach are nearby and there are local flea markets in Manacor and Felantix.
