Great hotel location
"Read many positive reviews and they proved right.
Great location yards from the beach. The front of the hotel was 1 minute from all the bars and shops so no need for a car or taxi expense. Food was good with plenty of choice. Hotel was clean and we had a great stay. Lifts can be a little slow around breakfast time so request a low floor if stairs an issue. Nine floors with the restaurant on the 1st floor. People did reserve their sun lounges but the were plenty. Hotel is 95% German but they were mostly over 50s and were fine. Only real complaint was the cost of sunlounges to hire on the beach. Two lounges with a parasol costs 12 euros a day. You could buy a large parasol for 8 euros so worth considering. Lots of inflatable sun beds around the hotel pool that had been left by previous guests so no need to buy any. All in all a great hotel and we are lookinmg at returning next year. "

Fantastic everything !
"Hotel is literally next to the wonderful beach and shopping centre - what more could you ask for as regards location. The hotel and rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. The highlight of the hotel is undoubtedly the food. The quality is excellent and the choice is something to be believed ! The staff are helpful and friendly and the price in February was incredible. Our son (21 yrs) and daughter (22 yrs) came along to get away from the England February and both were equally impressed. Temperature hovered around
55-60c. I can't praise this hotel highly enough. We were the only British family there. It was dominated by Germans who were all very plseant."

"Just got back from a short,5 day break at this hotel. Break was the operative word.On the first day my wife fell over and broke her leg.Considered coming home early, but decided to stay on.We have stayed at dozens of 4* hotels in Spain, but this one takes some beating.I'm not talking about rooms, food etc., although these are all fine. It's the staff that make it.From the waiters cleaners, barmen, everyone, they actually seem like they enjoy the job.I should'nt single out individuals, but have to mention Catherine on the desk, nothing too much trouble. Also Rasheen. Try this hotel, you can't go wrong."

Tremendous Value For Money
"Initially its important to say that this hotel offers excellent value for money. The Hotel has recently been refurbished so both bathrooms and bedrooms are modern and comfortable. It is worth paying a few pounds extra per night for a sea view room. Food is OK although gets a little monotonous after a week.
The location is fabulous almost on the beach and shops ensuite. It attracts an older clientele so consequently you will get the insomniacs Sun Bed grabbing at dawn.
The attraction for us was the easy level walks. There is a promenade that extends for about a mile round to Cala Bona which we did most evenings after dinner"

"Stayed for 11 days at the end of June this year (2008). The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff were excellent, the food was fantastic (buffets for breakfast and dinner, loads of choice and you could eat as much as you like..wonderful.)
I would recommend this hotel. Even though there are a lot of Germans staying there they were all polite and well behaved, which is a lot more than can be said of some of the British yobs and lowlifes I have experienced on other holidays.
All in all a lovely hotel."

I took my mum here in June for a well ea...
"I took my mum here in June for a well earned break and had a wonderful holiday. The hotel is right opposite a wonderful sandy beach to the rear - with cafes, shops, and small bars to the front. All rooms face the sea and have balcony.
Residents tend to be 40 plus and the evening entertainment is low key (mostly duos or bands) which is exactly what we were looking for. If you want great nightlife and busy bars, this is not the place for you.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
As with most of Cala Millor, the hotel is very popular with German tourists and also Spanish, but we found everyone very friendly and there wasn't much sunbed reserving going on. The pool and decked surround were right opposite the beach with direct access to the indoor pool and Jacuzzi. Pool towels are supplied with a small deposit.
The food was the usual buffet style, but above average compared to over 4 stars I have stayed in. There was an enormous choice, everything was very fresh and hot, and there were many things cooked to order.
TIP: You keep the same table at dinner and breakfast for the duration of your stay. There is a small terraced area outside the restaurant which people tended to avoid in case of bad weather. GET A TERRACE TABLE! Itâs wonderful to sit there facing the sea while enjoying your meal, and if you do have a chilly night or rain, the waiting staff are happy to find you a spare indoor table.
The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were very spacious and clean and of good standard, although could probably do with redecorating in the next year or so.
On the whole, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return again next year. "

Great hotel shame about the pool sunbeds
"Really enjoyed our stay. Calla Millor is very clean and the hotel was in an ideal position. Unfortunately on our first morning other continental guests were putting towels on sunbeds at 6:00 a.m!!
The hotel does have a policy about this but it is not kept.
The staff in the hotel were very friendly and the bar on the street was great. You can sit and watch the world go by. The staff there work extremely hard. The food was great and there was always a very good selection.
The entertainments were not well attended, at inconvenient times and poorly organised. There was no cocktail lounge for guests to meet and enjoy a pre-dinner drink.
With all that in mind we would return it was very quiet and peaceful. If your travel agents tell you there a re no children under 12 then they are very mistaken."

"The Playa del Moro is right on the promenade at Cala Millor. Our room was spacious, clean with a large modern bathroom, with a bath. There was a large balcony with a wonderful view of the beach and the coastline. The restaurant is buffet service and the choice of food was excellent, both at breakfast and dinner. There was plenty of choice and every taste was catered for. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, efficient and helpful at all times. As with most hotels in Cala Millor there is no car park but we had no problem parking in a small public car park at the front of the hotel. Although the hotel was full, we were the only English people there, everyone else being German, but this did not present any problems as everyone was very friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will certainly return there in the future."

The hotel is smashing - would def stay again
"booked from lastminute---, "real last minute" H/B deal,
great hotel - stayed there for 5 nights, it was immaculately clean
had 8th floor room overlooking sea, tremendous view of beach and coastline, refurbished bathroom was spotless and well appointed
room was reasonably sized, and comfortable, bed not though for me, well stocked minibar and small portable tv with lots of channels, couple of english speaking ones, nice balcony with a smart couple of chairs and table - no light though (unusual)
extremely friendly staff
food was great for a 4* tourist hotel, plentiful and fresh at breakfast and dinner, all the furniture was new and the whole restaurant was fresh
service was very efficient and friendly in restaurant
pool was freshwater, beatifully landscaped around with decking and paving, great to swim in, (but not heated)
plenty of padded loungers - no towels though
bar service was great, usual range of snacks and drinks
all in all a top little hotel, better than many big name chains i've stayed in
definitely stay again if i was looking to go to this part of majorca
it was mainly full of older folk at this time of year and was quiet because it was out of season"

"We stayed at this hotel for the second time and truly enjoyed it!! Especially the terrace is a great place to enjoy your breakfast (take care to tell the waiter to reserve one of those tables for you) and your delicious dinner."
