Cala Mesquida is located in the North of Majorca approximately 5 miles from Cala Ratjada, separated by Pine forests and cliffs.
Cala Mesquida's accommodation tends to be basic and more geared towards those looking to 'get away' from it all. You will find a very small selection of Hotels, with the Viva Cala Mesquida Suites and the Viva Cala Mesquida Resort being the hotels that house most of the resorts visitors.
The Beach at Cala Mesquida is one of the best in the area. There you will find Vast swathes of fine, soft, golden sand, with dunes and Pine trees leading you down to the sea. The area is very safe for bathers too. With a Flag system in operation during dangerous tides. Here you will also find a limited amount of water sports - weather permitting.
Cala Mesquida, as mentioned is not the place to head if you are seeking vast amounts of shops, bars and restaurants. You will only find a handful of each and a few supermarkets stocking the main essentials. For a larger selection, again a visit to Cala Ratjada is worth the bus/cab fare also for those looking for a lot more night life a trip to Cala Ratjada is most definitely recommended.
