"just returned 15 June 17 stayed 10 nights, food great choices, variant as well, staff friendly and polite, no entertainment in hotel, dine and pool bar at sister hotel 2 minutes hotel san remo due to stag/hen not suitable for families. my wife and I spent our evenings in a club about 3 minutes from hotel called the café royale friendly with tribute artists hostess of club Gillian very friendly from Liverpool, she makes your stay worth while, so don't read the negatives as those who writes them must be hermits or something, as we are both 60 and are thinking of going back for another week in September, room very basic as you expect to find in a 3/4 star, we had room with seaview, refreshing in the breeze situated on the opposite side of IBIZA TOWN you can travel across for 3 euro's 1 way p.p or catch the No 6 outside of hotel get you to the other side for half the price load of clubs in Ibiza town and very expensive. plenty of watering holes with easy access from your hotel Hotels I would go to are 1 S'Estanyol, San Remo Armantis 1 or 2 which are within 100 yds radius of each other, spoke to people and they speak highly of the latter 2, and all around the club royale as mentioned earlier, if this is your holiday ignore the negatives go and try it yourselves you wont be dissappointed"

It's hell, if your over 30, of sound mind, don't go
"The worst hotel we've ever stayed in. We are older, young at heart, but just couldn't stand the continual change of drunken, foul mouthed clientele. Seems it caters for short stay stag do's only, and they have completely ruined a very nicely situated hotel. Most of the time there is no control of what is happening in the hotel and the noise is unbearable, especially when you are trying to sleep at night. I would give 10 out of 10 to the photographer and description editor for making the place look and sound so nice. The sunbeds are well past there best and there is not a parasol to be had! The room was very spacious and well maintained, and the hotel staff were very pleasant and understanding. The food was bearable, but had it not been possible to use the amenities, including the restaurant, of the San Remo next door, we would definitely have asked to be moved. We chose fully inclusive, but because the atmosphere in the hotel was so aggressive, found the whole experience too much and ate out as much as possible. Absolutely no entertainment whatsoever and only a very disappointing outdated pool bar for a drink, with nowhere to relax away from the noise. Would return to Ibiza, but definitely not this hotel, awful!! "

Don't believe everything you read!!!!!!
"Just returned from a week in S'Estanyol and had to write this review . After booking the all inclusive holiday, I read the reviews a couple of days later and was horrified . So much so I did think about not going , but I am pleased to say the hotel was very nice . We found the staff very friendly and polite , food was quite good , all though sometimes a bit cold, but use the microwave for a few minutes if you want it warming up . Not a great deal of variety at times, but you could always find something to have . Room was lovely, large and cleaned daily with a lovely view overlooking the bay.No entertainment in hotel at night With it being the end of the season ,the resort was very quiet, lots of shops, bars and clubs closed .The younger guests went into town and made a lot of noise on thier return with no respect for other guests wich was a bit of a problem sleep wise .Hardly any room to sunbathe on terrace so make the best of the beach and the water in pool is freezing so no one used it.To sum up for the price we paid for all ancl.it was a good deal but if you want a quiet time this hotel is not for you cos the younger guests are very noisy after all the "free" booze "

We are normally pretty laid back and not ones to complain but this was an exception - please read do not be put off by the length of it...you need to know!
"We have just returned from a week's all inclusive holiday to S'Estanyol Hotel in San Antonio and we would NEVER return! Firstly, there are two hotels in this complex. The one we stayed at was supposed to be better of the two, we didn't use the other's facilities so cannot comment but all i can say is that if S'Estanyol is supposed to be better then what the hell was the other one like!! The site we booked on stated it was a 4 star - the hotel is blatently a 3 star so do not be missold. When I booked I was looking for a good value for money hotel close to the beach etc. We paid £850.00 for two of us at the beginning of September and I feel not one penny was worth it. Location wise, it was good. We are a young 25 yrs) couple so the numerous bars and pubs on your doorstep didn't bother us but it is not somewhere I would advise unless you are in a group. The food was absolutely disgusting. As you can imagin chips came with everything and the food was cold. There was never any food ready and you found yourself waiting in the line until the chef decided to bring it out. The food options were very random also, the choices just didn't make sense. We had breakfast once and dinner twice. We ate out the rest of the time - hence not worth the money as we spent the same amount of money and more, eating and drinking out. Obviously alcohol was flowing so no complaints there and their measurements are very generous so at least we could enjoy a drink. There is no entertainment which is strange in an all inclusive hotel and the pool bar is pathetic....nobody there, no atmosphere etc. so you had a couple of drinks around the pool and then went elsewhere. The pool was a joke. It is about 3 feet wide and 20 feet long. Do not be deceived by the images from the site you book on, or google's images as they use a picture (probably the best possible airbrushed picture ever)from the sister hotel's pool and fool you into thinking its part of the better hotel when it clearly isn't. Its constantly freezing as its in the shade all day, overshadowed by the hotel. The hotel is right on the beach however so that was good, but its not the biggest beach and its very very crowded. You will constantly get hassled by the lucky lucky men selling sun glasses and watches...they then move onto trying to sell you drugs...all drugs you can think of so be warned...NOT AT ALL SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN!!!!!!! We was going to take my partner's son who is 4 but that was a wise choice not to. Nothing at all to do for kids - the children's swimming pool is as big as a tiny blow up paddling pool and again, in the shade so its freezing. Our room was the biggest let down of all. I booked on Sunmaster website and they had an offer on a 'promo room' - nievely I booked a promo room thinking it a good room with a view etc. on special offer, but when we turned up it was like a shoe box right at the back of the hotel. Our room could only fit 2 single beds and a chest of drawers in, that is how small it was. Hardly any room to move around - you had to stand still while the other passed you it was ridiculous. The other beach front rooms were triple the size of ours. There are only 8 rooms like the one we had and they all face onto a dusty back street with old mattresses and cots and debris dumped - lovely NOT! We didn't hav a leg to stand on as I'd booked the promo room (although the picture of the room on the website I booked was a totally diff picture). We could upgrade but it wold be an extra 25 euros per night so we decided to save our money and spend as little time there as we could. Please note that most of the hotels in San Antonio and the bay are a bit shabby anyway as its obviously a place young groups go and stag and hen parties. The staff on reception are rude and unhelpful and very miserable, no smiles and very defensive if you complain - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS WHATSOEVER! The aircon in the rooms are not great so get a spare key card and keep that card in the switch to keep it on all day so its cool for when you return to your room. The rooms are cleaned daily but you have to follow the instructions on what to do if you want your room cleaned. They do not just automatically clean them, you have to hang a sign on your door. Also, if you want clean towels you've to put your old ones on the floor or they wont replace any...very strange. I would advise to book transfers as taxis are hard to flag down and the nearest taxi rank is in the bay area near the west end and you could be queueing for up to an hour. The hotel would suit young groups as its very basic and only suitable for a base for somewhere to sleep. We saw a few older couples arrive as we were leaving and I felt sorry for them. Noise wise wasn't too bad, the two bars across the road close at 4am and 6am...I could hear the loud music on a night but that was because our room was at the back of the hotel backing onto the main road. Overall I was gutted about the hotel. "

Great for Stag and Hen Party's
"If you are looking for a noisy, drunken, sleepless holiday where anything goes, this is the IDEAL hotel. Pool is great if you like splashing around in dirty water. The pool was chemically cleaned once in the fortnight I was there. If you like lax couldn't care less management approach to guests this hotel must be a world leader as there was absolutely NO management. If you enjoy rowdy, loutish, drunk and some criminal behaviour you'll be in great company here. The cleaning of the rooms was poor. The beds were made and blue cleaning fluid put down the toilet and that was it. The floor wasn't cleaned nor was the sink, toilet or surfaces. If you like rubbery chips and cold food this will cater for your eating requirements. On a plus side the hotel has the most beautiful views overlooking the bay with an amazing sunset. Juan the young Italian bar worker was friendly and hard working as were some of the staff in the canteen. "

wouldnt use that hotel again
"iv just come back from ibiza staying at this hotel,i dont think i would recomend this hotel, the food was awful and if you went half hour before dining room closed there was nothing left but chips and salad, the dinghy bar you could only get two plastic cup there was no entertainment on so we went out all the time, so for an all inclusive deal we dissapointed. the rooms very basic but clean tele air con didnt work, i did find the hotel staff were friendly. the pool was dirty we didnt dare go in it the kids pool if that what it was had no water in it all week. i love ibiza its my third time there but i will never be going back to this hotel...."

"Just arrived back, Hotel cleanliness was good and the room was ok. I think people should be told that it caters mostly for stag and hen party's as that was mainly who were there, We went there for my daughters 18th so it didn't bother us as much but if it was for a main holiday then i would THINK again. You don't get any sleep as people are shouting down the corridors all night. The bar (or so called bar ) you had to queue in a line to get 2 drinks at a time in SMALL clear plastic cups that you would use it a kids party and then throw away. We were told to move from outside by the pool at 10.30pm. (very rudely). The bar shut at dead on 11pm. even if you were next in the queue it was "NO MORE BAR CLOSED". we were then allowed to drink till 11.30. while the bar staff stood waiting then we were told to get out. (to where?). The FOOD. was DISGUSTING, same nearly every day. could cope sometimes but when it was lukewarm all the time you could only take so much. We paid nearly £200 each but had to spend over £100 each to eat out every day after the second day. All in all i wouldn't go back there if they paid me. people were all jealous when they seen people leaving, That was how bad it was.GLAD TO BE HOME, NEVER AGAIN TO THAT HOTEL"

"i had booked into this hotel with my patner on the 9th of april, which cost 40 euros in a taxi from the airport, we were then told on arrival that the hotel was over booked and we were moved elsewhere, but we had been updated on this hotel and got told we were moved as they were a stag do on which the next morning they decided to pee in the pool, and four people from this hotel got robbed on the the plus side i was glad we were moved but i was very angry and dissapointed as i had wasted alot of euros on a taxi "

i would go back
"My fiance and i have just returned from a 5 night stay in this hotel (2nd-7th September 2010). We found the rooms to be very clean and comfortable as was the hotel in general. We were all inclusive, the food was good, there was a large variety to suit everyone. All inclusive bar was open to 11pm. There was no hotel entertainment however so we ended up somewhere across the road which meant we didnt get full use of our all inclusive package. We were only a couple of metre's walk from the beach which meant we could easily use the hotel bar during the day. I did find the staff on reception to be a little unhelpfull, nobody was rude as such but they didnt go out there way to offer usefull information about directions etc. We were looking for somewhere where we had the option to go party or get some peace and quiet and we found that this hotel ticked both boxes. Plenty of bars shops etc and the beach had water sports. Will defo book here if we go back to ibiza again."

4 Star Hotel ?????????????????
"On the plus side the location was lovely, San Antonio Bay is beautiful. and there are numerous excellent bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. However for this hotel to be classified as a 4 Star is beyond belief, I cannot believe it was ever worth such a high classification even when it was new, never mind in its current run down state. The all-inclusive was a joke. The air-con barely effective. The jacizzi bath didnt work. The shower went from hot to cold every 30 seconds. Only half the lights in the room worked. And if you like sleeping like battery hens, then maybe the rooms are adequate for a family of 5. Despite this we had a great holiday, basically because we only slept at the hotel!!! Don't waste you're money, there are many better 2 or 3 star hotels in San Antonio Bay."

" when we arrived at the hotel we saw that it was FULL of people.. we arrived at like..lunch time.. so we were assuming it was possibly because of this ?..but it got worse xD... i seem to remember hardly being able to move around in the lobby without having to squeeze past someone lol, we went to bed at about...half past ten to find that people wer running around the corridors.. knocking on doors.. and shouting..it didnt stop until about 4.30am... the next morning we went to the main desk to see what was happening..and we found out that many of the familys that had been staying there had been transfered to a different hotel ( marco polo ) because it was spring break or somthing ? ... so we ended up staying there even thought it wasnt an all inclusive hotel, san remo had to arrange all the guests that had moved to have lunch and drinks at the marco polo ... but that wasnt the end of it.. we got stuck because of the ash cloud and had to go back to san remo for an extra 5 days as the hotel we had been moved to was fully booked ... i must say that the second time around the hotel was much less crowded, and not as bad...the food was not amazing, although it was edible lol.. not as bad as people say (long but worth reading)
"i have read some reviews here, now and before i went on holiday. i was so scared because they all seemed horrible, but when i got there i didn't find it as bad as people were making it out to be. the hotel was just very basic, honestly i wouldn't recommend it, but it still wasn't the worst. below i will give some tips for if you have already booked the hotel and are scared after reading the reviews, like i was.. this isnt going to happen to probably anyone but just to say.. there was no bus to take us from the airport to the hotel.. nightmare, but this is what put us in a bad mood when we got to the hotel.. when we got there we were like aw this is no good thats no good, but it was just because we were tired (it was like 3am), hot, and annoyed. but it wasnt so bad lol i will start off with the bad things, the worst thing of all was the air conditioning! air conditioning.. there basically was none!! at night outside was cooler than inside, not even exaggerating, it literal was! but we learned that there is a button that you can press inside the box behind the door, it says air conditioning on it, remember that it is black, beside a yellow one.. this helped some people but for us it didn't work, remember to bring something to stick it down with, they must have disabled the button, i do not know why.. also when you leave the room and bring your key with you, everything shuts off, so ask for another key card at reception and keep it in all day, and bring the other one with you. it also turns off if you open the balcony door, so try keep it closed as much as possible. we were in two rooms while we were staying due to a late check out, the second room had great air conditioning? ALSO you NEED a fan, they are 17 euro, 10 euro deposit, so 27 euro, they are really good, but ours was VERY squeaky, it was so loud that when you were walking down the hall you heard it, when you were outside at the pool and the door was open, you heard it. it made us jump up out of our sleep! it would be quiet then it would just let a LOUD SCREAM! awful!!! entertainment.. so the hotel has no entertainment, i went with my mum and my little sister who is 5. at night we went to another hotel which is literally just across the street, they had good shows on there every night, e.g. magic show, hypnotist, music etc.. before that we went to a kids rodeo thing, it had bingo, kids quiz, bull riding etc it was good! bad thing about the hotel not having entertainment though is that the all inclusive bar is open until 11 and during that time there is nothing to do, but we just sat and talked.. remember if you are using the all inclusive bar, it is in the san remo side of the hotel. late check out.. if you have requested a late check out, it is actually just non existent. we didn't leave until 10 that night and they made us pay 30 euro to keep the room until 7, which we did. or 50 euro to keep it past 7? also on our way to the room we had no idea where we were going, we had to carry our luggage the whole way from san remo to the s'estanyol side and when we got there ALL the lifts were broke?? we had to literally throw our luggage down stairs, we even asked staff and they sent us on what seemed like a wild goose chase looking for lifts that were not there or broke, when we got there eventually we saw a downstairs entrance, they should have told us about that! i saw disabled woman asking, they told her the same thing and i just felt so sorry for her because she was about to start the same wild goose chase we did, i would have told her but it was a difficult situation because she walked away with the staff.. staff.. they are VERY unhelpful, they didnt give any information about things to do etc, some were also rude. we went all inclusive and you are allowed two drinks at a time. if you went up to get drinks, sat down, drank your drink in like 2 seconds because its so hot there, then go back up they give you these dirty looks as if to say you were just up.. i felt like saying i payed for all inclusive so i will come up as much as i want!! other we also went to a water park when we were there, it was pretty dear, 30 euro each way for a taxi, we asked the hotel about buses and stuff but of corse they didn't know, or else did know and didn't care to tell us or whatever, they didn't speak very good english so sometimes i just didn't think they could have been bothered to try and explain and listen. the water park day out was pretty expensive, we didn't think it was worth it because all there was was like a few big slides, but if that's your kind of thing, then yeah go for it, it was just the 5 year old, didn't like the slides lol.. well good things now, i think i'm bad thinged out lol.... cleanliness the hotel was very clean! the pool was very clean, what else is there to say? i didn't see any bugs, if i did, let me assure you this would just basically be a rant about bugs lol! food i liked the food, i don't know what people are talking about when they say its not good enough for dogs etc.. our family actually loved the food, the first day we got there, breakfast was not so nice but the rest was great! and breakfast from then on was great. the line at the front looked huge, but it was really because there was like 3 lines in one, there were people at the door coming in, there were people at the salad bar and there were people at like the meat/chips/other section and they kind of looked joined. there were very short lines around the back because not a lot of people knew about that side !! sun!!! wow, it was hot, the hotel has the pool out the back and loungers. i recommend getting the loungers along side the pool because that's where the sun is the most of the day, it disappears at like 3 if you get the loungers at the top of the kids pool. if you are a tan addict like me though i recommend the beach!! it is literally just in front of the pool, a 20 second walk from the hotel hehe! location it is in a great spot, where we were it was really quiet, heard nothing from outside etc.. it is so close to shopping, if you just like walk along the beach like say you are standing facing the water, go left and then there is a little boat, it takes you over to the shops, great shopping i got so much! if you walk out the front and turn to the left, there are so many shops if you keep walking the whole way up i loved them! also a great spot where you can watch the sunset, it was very beautiful! ok so that is basically all there is for me to say, that i can remember about my holiday. i enjoyed myself, i would go back, its a great place, very hot, i just wouldn't have stayed at that hotel and that is ONLY because of the air conditioning, if i could be guaranteed that there would be air conditioning next time then yes i would go back because i barley interacted with the staff, the entertainment situation was fine because there were so many other places that were so close.. the air conditioning was the only down side to my holiday.. good luck everyone and i hope you all have a brilliant time!"
