Fab, cant wait to go back
"Love this hotel, have stayed in a few different ones around the bay and this is one of the best! The friendly staff were always there to help and the air con was always working which is a must! Would definately go back and stay there, the position is ideal, right next to back of Eden so staggering distance from the bay bars. No noise from the clubs though and after a certain time they do not allow loud music in your room which has both good and bad advantages. Does have a pool but its so close to the beach I would rather go there. Clean towels everyday and maids dont knock you up at early doors."

Vile/Unsafe - Stay At Your Peril
"Unortunately I was not involved in the booking process of this hotel & the organiser decided the cheaper the better - never again! We stayed in Marco Polo 2, safes took the form of some battered & beaten boxes in full view of the 'reception area' (no manned reception, you must check in at Marco Polo 1)which was the main reason for us storing our valuables in our room (albeit in locked luggage)- BIG MISTAKE. In total we had a camera (including memory card which held our 1st weeks photos)/mobile & cash stolen. Reception couldn't have cared less, took no details and didn't apologise for any incovenience. At the police station we were advised (by other victims) that this wasn't uncommon. We had 2 electricity cut outs (one whilst I was in the shower which was very scary as I was in the pitch black as no external window) & as per other reviews constant noise so no sleep. Only one concession is that cleaner was very freindly & did a thorough job, but we had enough & demanded an immediate transfer to another hotel as we had, had enough. "

Never ever go this place!!!!!!
"arrived here 29th july 2010 at 12.00am checked in asked for safe was told we would have to wait till morning as there was none availble! how can this be? we entered room which was supposed to be self catering no kettle or fridge. we booked through alpharooms. we then hid are money under are matress i had in total 1010 euros and 200 english money and a digital camera, a friend had 600 and a blackberrry phone ipod and a digital camera. we checked all windows and doors where locked before we left for food. we left at 12.30am and decided to return at 1.00am to change before heading out for a drink. we had been half an hour we entered are room which showed no sign of break in only to find matresses fliped and money and valuble gone. we was in such shocked we hadnt even been in ibiza an hour. i ran to reception and asked him to check CCTV he told be it wasnt working tonight we ask for police and he started geting very angry and told us to leave. he through us out of the hotel and we walked the streets all night untill aplha rooms finally answered the phone. they moved us to a 2start from and 3 which we had booked with a pool. the 2 star had no pool (florida hotel) the rooms where disgusting not only that the balconey door would not lock? i could understand how they could moved us to a hotel like this after walking the streets due to the hotel we booked kicking us out, after robbing us. we where upset and worried and got placed in a hotel where the doors didnt shut! how can places like this be rented out by alpha rooms? the holiday was cut short and i return home after 5 days. also marco polo1 cost us £1000 to stay in for the week and the florida hotel cost 240 for the three of us for the week i am still waiting for my £760 alpha rooms owes me"

Marco Polo 2 = [-] hole, Marco Polo 1 = excellent
"When we booked our holiday through the travel agent we were told our hotel was the marco polo and the description and photograph made it sound like a very nice hotel. however we were not told that the hotel is split into two parts, marco polo 1 and marco polo 2. we were given a room in the second part and it was nothing like what we thought we had booked and definaetly nowhere near 3 stars. the balcony door was bent and didnt lock as it had been broken into and not fixed, the bed sheets were filthy and beetles crawled around under them, the toilet had clearly not been cleaned so you can imagine what was stained all over it. we booked a double room but it had 3 beds which was very strange. the corridors wer also very dirty and the walls were thinner than tracing paper. we could literally hear next doors toilet flush and their conversations.also their were no safes in the room, they were at recption however we arrived at midnight and their was no receptionist on so people could wonder in and out and probably break into them. there were many more things wrong with it but it would nevber fit into this review.we complained immediatly back at the reception in the main building marco polo 1 and demanded that we were given a room in that building as it was much nicer. they told us we would get one first thing in the morning and to be fair they were right however we could relax that night as we went out to privilege as our cases were in the room withthe unlocked balcony and our money and passports were left with reception. even the receptionist agreed with us that marco polo 2 was nowhere near as good as marco polo 1 so i cannot understand how they both hols the same star rating! everything turned out good for us as our new room was lovely and we hada fantastic holiday however i felt sorry for the people to didnt compain and we stuck in that horrible palce. so what ever you do if you book up with marco polo hotel specify that you want to be in the main building which has the reception, dinning room, better swimming pool, and rooms that actually live up the 3 star rating."

Hope you like insomnia
"Just came back from a weeks hol with my wife over there. Picked this hotel because it was one of the names I remembered from the last time I was in ibiza (6 years ago!) Got to the hotel at 5 in the morning after a being up all night for the flight to be greeted by a miserable [--] of a bloke on the front desk who told me that we couldn't check in untill 10 Oclock that day. Not really what you want to hear when you've been travelling since 12 Oclock that night. Went for a wander around San An to get our bearings and after an hour decided to go and sit in the lobby and wait. Got back and the miserable bloke had been replaced by a lovely blonde haired women who said we could check straight in and gave us the keys to a room. Got to the room and honestly thought D-Wing of Wormwood Scrubs would have been a better idea. Sick or drink or something else all up the walls, bed full of hair and matresses with some well dodgy stains on. Was too sick and tired to care so just fell asleep on top of the sheets. Woke up and my Wife had been back down to reception to ask if there was another room away from the road and a bit cleaner. Woman on the desk was really embarressed and moved us to the other side of the hotel to a lovely room with a decent sized balcony and clean sheets. Even the maid came round to apologise for the state of the previous room. Lift was a bit mental at times but the rooms were cleaned everyday with the towels also changed daily. Walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING going on in rooms on either side. Saying that it was cheap and the location is excellent. Literally next door to Eden and Es Paradis and staggering distance from the West End which is ideal at 6 in the morning when your staggering home spangled. Not sure i'd stay again but for groups of lads and lasses just wanting a crash pad with a pool and a good location it's the place to be."

"Stayed here with a few girlfriends for 4 nights as we got it for about £7 a night each, I was very worried it might be a hole. It wasn't! Checked in about 3am and were greeted by 4 drunken Irish boys falling out of the reception, needless to say I knew we were in Ibiza! Everything was fine and the room was big enough for 3 of us to sleep in without being in each others pockets. The balcony was also huge because we were on the first floor, so i'd advise asking for one of those rooms! Air con worked really well and security in the hotel was fine. No tea/coffee things but there was a mini fridge. Although there was a lot of people in their 20s staying in the hotel is was constantly quiet. We were there for the clubbing and so wouldn't have been bothered by noise, in fact I kind of expected some rowdy teenagers running around, but there were none to be found in the wee hours! It was a great hotel, the only things I could complain about are that I got an electric shock from a plug socked that was falling off the wall (but to be fair I was drunk and trying to put some banging beats on!). The maids are also horrid! They came into the room every day at 9am and shouted at us for not being up! The first day I let it slide and we did get soon after that but on the days after that I told them to bugger right off, it was my holiday! No way was I getting so early with a hangover! Haha! Also, I thought I had booked the apartments in the building beside the hotel, but was given a hotel room, didn't bother to complain about this though as the room was fine! Fantastic location as everyone else has mentioned, right next door (literally) to Eden and Es Paradis and a 2min walk from the West End. Overall, loved it and would go back to Ibiza and this hotel in a heartbeat!"

Loved the location...not the noise
"Just got back from a stay in San Antonio and had a fantastic time the Marco Polo II was a great location for the main part of the town and the beach. The rooms were quite basic but I would say good value for money and clean. The only drawback was that the other guests tended to be very loud when coming back from the clubs early in the morning and often woke us up, having said that it is a hotel slap bang in the middle of San Antonio so I wasn't too surprised. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay this isn't it, but if you want a great loction and are not going to spend much time in the hotel then this is great place."

"Me and my boyfriend stayed for 5 nights in this hotel, the first night we got stuck in a horrible little room with a tiny window looking out onto a courtyard! so we complained and got moved the next day and were moved into a much nicer room I know u only use the room for sleeping here but god that first room were bad! This hotel is in a top location right next to Eden so u can litrally roll round the corner at stupid o'clock! When we were there we got stuck in the lift and as people will know the lift is tiny! it were about 45 minutes til we managed to get out and that was horrible! A large vodka was needed after that! When we were there loads of italians were staying in this hotel which wasn't very good us being from Britain as they were quite ignorant! but to be honest if i was going again i rekon i would stay in Picies Park coz it looked like it had a lot more life than this hotel day and night.....but for any1 who is considering ibiza it is a must, best place i have been in my life its outa this world and i cant wait to go back!"

great Location, clubbers paradise!!!
"Just got back from 7 nights in Sant Antonio, Wow what a town, chose the hotel because we could pronouce the name!!! Brits abroad!! We booked on the internet, via a late rooms company, paid £24 a night room only, thought it was gonna be a right flea pit, but was pleasently suprised. Taxi from the airport is about 15-20 mins, although I did think at times I was being driven by Lewis Hamilton, but you get used to their driving after a few beers. Arrived at the hotel to be quickly checked in by the efficent receptionist, very freindly and good english spoken, which is good my spanish will just about get me two beers at a bar! We stayed in the main hotel, set over four floors, there is a lift available for use for those less mobile.....or too munted to climb the stairs after a night out.... The room it's self was basic but functional, AC works great, mini fridge Sat TV, only one english channel, Sky news, but you don;t go to Ibiza to watch TV... Our room faced onto the main road, it was quite noisy in rush hour with the patio doors open, but they have very good double glazing which cuts most of it out. Location wise it is perfect, far enough away from the West end ( main drinking strip) about 5 mins walk, to be quiet, 2 mins walk from the beach and the coastal path to the bay and about 10 - 15 mins bay from Cafe Mambo and Cafe Del Mar, you just have to get up there and check out the chilled atmosphere at sunset. loads of restaurants to choose from, don't think we ate in the same place twice, so much choice. For those wanting to travel further afield, without hiring a car, there is a taxi rank only a couple of mins walk away, or you can try the local buses, bus station is only 500 - 600 mtrs away behind the adjacent hotel, for those wanting to hire a car there are two car hire companies within 200mtrs of the hotel. With regards to night clubs, do not be put off by the close location of Eden or Es Paradis, Eden backs onto the hotel, but you would never know it, they are very well sound proofed, in fact it was a bonus for us as we could stumble out at 6am and be in bed recovering by 6.05....result. If you like to clubbing and like to party with a difference, check out Es Paradis Water partys, absolutely banging, be prepared to get wet, and if you stay in Marco Polo, you don't have to go far to get dry, the amount of people we saw walking home drenched because taxi's will not let them ride....no problem with this hotel...."

"Me and my best mate stayed here for four nights at the end of July. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It is a very clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed bed and breakfast but were never up in time for breakfast so I can't comment on the food unfortunately. You can tell why this hotel is very popular with youngsters in the high season because of it's extremely close proximity to Eden and Es Paradis - they are about 1 mintues walk away!! Bars and restaurants and the beach are also only a very short walk away which makes this a great hotel. We had a triple room en-suite with mini fridge - excellent for keeping drinks ice cool, mini TV and balcony with a view of the two nightclubs and the gorgeous San An Bay. The room was cleaned every day and there was hardly any noise to say there were lots of youngsters staying there I highly recommend this hotel!!"

"Just back from 9 days in this hotel - had a great hol! This hotel is in an excellent location. 2min walk from the egg roundabout in the centre of san Antonio. Right next to Eden and Es Paradis. The hotel is 2 buildings. The main building bein one with the reception and probably for families and older couples. The 2nd building where we were was (we think) for younger party-goers and groups. We didnt spend any time at all in the main building - just to check in and out so i dont really know what that part was like. The building we were in though was very clean and airy. The bar was always quiet which was a bit of a disappointment, and the pool area was chilled out with a nice pool. Our room was on top floor and the views from the balcony were really nice. The room was bright and very clean - cleaners in everyday. The room had free air-con, free tv and free fridge. There was no noise at all from the nightclubs. We had no problems or hassle whatsoever and we thought that the holiday was great value for money! There were a few issues but nothing major: 1. The patio door onto the balcony didnt lock shut in our room but it was ok with us being on top floor. 2. The doors were really thin and you could hear a bit (not LOADS) of noise in the early morning - but we expected it. The rooms near ours weren't fully occupied so i could see this being more of a problem through the busier months, but the hotel is pretty massive and for every room to be occupied it would have to be really busy! 3. we hired a car and there wasnt really anywhere to park it - the road down the side was ALWAYS full of parked cars - but it was not a MASSIVE problem, we parked it a few mins down the road. 4. The rooms had no plates/bowls, cuttlery or hob which we were expecting with it being self catering. Apart from those minor issues the hotel was great and we had a great holiday."
