10 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
"We booked this hotel last minute for a really cheap price. The location was really good-about 10-15 mins to the west end. V close to Bar M, Eden and Es Paradis. It is also on the bus route to several beaches, and there is a Spar at the end of the road. The hotel itself was fine for the price. The room was really clean and the cleaners came each day. The room was a good size and basically furnished with 2 beds, bedside table, dressing table and a built in wardrobe. We had no air con in our room but were told we could change rooms after 2 days to one that had air con but we didnt bother as it was cool enough with the balcony door open and we werent there much in the day. The pool area was always pretty empty and the pool seemed clean, with lots of sun loungers which I think were free (we didnt use the pool as we prefer the beach). This hotel wouldnt be the place to go if you want a peaceful nights sleep! The room doors slam really loudly and its Ibiza so people come home at all hours. This wasnt a problem for us as we went out most nights but we noticed it on the nights we did stay in. If youre not the going out type then this probably isnt the hotel for you. I would definitely go there again for a budget holiday-more money to spend on going out!"

"Stayed here for a week at the start of September. Hotel was clean and totally spotless. Think me and my bf were lucky with the room that we got it was on the top floor and faced out on the roadside not too much noise considering our balcony door was open when we slept. Didnt hear much noise from the neighbouring rooms think one side was private rooms only noise was corridor noise. The grumpy night man gave us a laugh most nights was interesting to see where he would be positioned each night! Hotel was in a great location and I would probably stay here again if I return to Ibiza."

hated this hostel
"i honestly had the worst time of my life in this hostel!! dont get me wrong the rooms were very clean and location was great. However,i have been to ibiza for the past 8 years and the noise at night was just shocking!!! i was comming home at 7am in the morning from clubs hoping to get a kip and the noise from peoples rooms was totaly out of order!!! The so called managment did nothing!!!! i fear they were scared of large groups of boys!!! On a plus point the price was great, however i wouldnt go back here if i got this hostel for free!!!!!"

Hostal Anibal Cheap and Very Cheerful
"My partner and I have just returned from Hostal Anibal 1 week ago and we were delighted with the hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by a quite abrupt gentleman but was very helpful sorting out our room. You do have the choice do buy air conditioning in your room for 55euros for 1 week, we decided not to but i would recommend it as the rooms do get very hot. We didnt have the breakfast buffet but the food offered in the hotel was simple but cheap enough and when ordered came quite quick. The rooms were simple, but very clean and we had made service every day. The bathroom consisted of bath/shower and wc and we had 2 twin beds and balcony overlooking the beach side view. The pool area was great, enough room for all to sunbathe in and with alot of young clubbers going there the beds were practically free till the afternoon. The beach is about 5 mins away with the town and west end about 15mins away but its a nice walk along the beach front. Overall a great holiday, couldnt fault the hostal or the service from the staff, i'd certainly go back."

Highly Recommended!! Great location, clean, cheap and friendly!
"The rooms were basic but clean and had all you required at such a fantastic price. I paid an extra â¬5 a day per room for air conditioning. The rooms are not very sound proof though and it can get quite noisy early in the morning when everyone returns from their night out. The service is excellent and the owners are lovely! It is perfectly situated just outside of the hustle and bustle of San Antonio but close enough to venture in for a night out and some food. We hired a car and there is space to park at the hotel if you decide to do this too. It is actually a 2 star hotel not a hostal, they named it Hostal Anibal as there is areadly a Hotel Anibal in san Antonio and wanted to avoid confusion. The pool area was often quiet and there are enought beds to go around. The pool could have been cleaner, a film of sun tan lotion and a number of flies lined the water, but this didn't seem to bother anyone else (I am very fussy!) Snack bar was perfect and served good basic food. All in all, great, cheap place to stay. Highly recommended!"

Spot on hotel for the price
"This hotel does everything it says and more, Although basic it has to be the cleanest hotel i have ever stayed at. It is just far enough away from the busy san antonio area that it is not too noisy, and only a short walk to the beach or shops is idealy situated. With friendly staff, nice pool area and well stocked bar, you could not ask for any more. I will certainly be staying here again."

Basic but very CLEAN AND FRIENDLY
"We have just arrived back from this hotel. We found it to be basic but very friendly. We arrived there in the early hours and they were very good to see to our needs. We had a room on the third foor, the top floor, and we could not here a thing. This hotel,or hostel as they call it,was reputed to be noisy but we found the opposite, although it was september the 23rd. The hostel is based just on a side road about 10 minutes walk to the main road into town and the beach.David and his wife, who run the hostel are extremely nice and cannot do enough for you.We found that this two star hotel is far better than some three star places we,ve stopped in previously. We would be happy to go there again.Only downfall is that the bar shuts at 1am,but apart from that, the price, the room, the staff cannot be faulted."
