"I've visited the Tarba twice; the apartments are situated in the centre of San Antonio and in walking distance of the main strip of bars (west end) and two of the big clubs Eden and Est Paradis! The apartments are basic but clean, there is a lovely sized pool which is quiet during the day, and there are always plenty sun beds available, if you don't fancy staying round the pool there is a beach within a 5 minutesâ walk. The apartment also serves food and drink during the day and night at reasonable prices there is also a supermarket nearby. I would recommend this hotel for groups of young people looking to be in the centre of the night life."

Brilliant little find
"Well what a brilliant hotel, totally impressed from start to finish. Arrived at about 10.30am fully aware we would have to wait quite a while before we could check in, the guy at reception informed us of this and said we could leave our bags in a safe room. Whilst waiting for this room, he then told us the good news that our room could actually be ready in 10 mins, result!! The room was way better than expected. We got as requested, a room at the back of the hotel with air con. Quite a large room with a large bathroom and balcony. Only slight quibble is it's overlooked and two bathroom windows of other rooms opened onto it but hey ho, not much of a problem. The hotel I think could not be in a better position, 5 mins walk in any direction will get you everywhere you want to be in San An, and the bus station is literally a stones throw away, excellent for the disco bus!! Absolutely nothing wrong with the pool area, it's big enough and never had trouble finding a sun bed as I think most people must go to the beach or stay in bed! Did have some trouble by the pool however as there is a back gate open and someone tried to steal my bag whilst they thought I was sleeping, thankfully I wasn't but just be careful on that one Had absolutely no trouble with any noise, granted I was one of the people coming back in at 6 or 7am but there were a few nights when we were in early, just bring eye mask and ear plugs and you are sorted Managed breakfast for 3 days, simple breakfast but certainly enough to get you up and running. Also ate lunch here a couple of times and it was lovely, chicken kebab and chicken burger come recommended! Totally lovely staff, especially at reception. It is a family run hotel and it certainly shows a lot of love and care has been put in. The parrot in the bar is a nice touch too. The pub area is full of locals which I always like. I wouldn't say go to this hotel if you are after an 18-30 experience and I would hope that people didn't because the hotel has a chilled relaxed feel about it rather than a dj round the pool, you can't get any quiet anywhere feel Would recommend this place to anyone I know"

good times fun times
"Ive just got back from staying at the hostel went there for 2 weeks 19th-2ndsep 2007 and i can say i had a good holiday. basically you got what you payed for. a bed a toilet and a shower with bath. i went with 3 mates and we all had a bed not a sofa thing what you somtimes get with a third bed. the rooms had no fridge or anything like that but you can hire things from the reception if you need them. it is a noisey place at night but then it is all full of young people and i guess we were noisey some nights when we came back. the staff are nice if you get on the right side of them we had no probs with any of them the security gard was fine even though i did spill beer over his head when i threw it over the balcony.(opps) the cleaner comes everyday exept sunday. she bangs hard on the door and wakes you up with a fright. you can get food from downstairs they cook some nice meals but we didnt eat there hardly because there is so many places to try. the breakfast was what you expect ham cheese bread ect swimmingpool lets it down a touch but not enough to ruin the stay. has sun most of the day but its just a bit small. there is however a swimming pool a few metres down the road which you can use if you buy a drink at the bar. its about a 10min walk to the westend were its all happening about 5min to eden and es paradis. 2min and your at the bus station. and about 10mins to the taxi rank to get you to the big clubs. the hostels about 5 min from the closest beach which is by the bar M set of bars and resturants. its a man made beach. me and my mates walked a bit further about 20mins some days to get to san antonio bay a better beach and cheaper food. and a good night out if you fancy a quiet one. theres a 22 hour supermarket which is 2mins away which sells the basics you need. or there is a place called the phone box were it sells cheap beer and drinks and cheap calls home. that is over the road 5 secs away. the hostel was mainly full of spanish and french with english. you meet so many people there. but dont have your cd player on to loud as there is NO FIESTA and you get told to keep it quiet. if you dont mind the odd door slamming and the odd french man playing knockadoor run you will love the experience of the place. this place is for people aged between 18-30ish who are there on a budget. its not the worlds best place but its ibiza and all you need is the bed and toilet. im sure there are alot worst places than this. i would stay there again and if your going you will have fun trust me."

clean, freindly, central
"I stayed at the hostal tarba, in june, the hotel (hostal) was really nice, the room was clean and tidy, the was 24 hour reception service, there is a resturant that does really good food, and a on site supermarket for all essentals. It is based five minutes away for the famous west end and about ten minutes from of well know clubs. The beach is five minutes away but this is not the best beach, take a boat to one of the others. There is also a room to store your luggage and have a shower if you've got a late flight back home. In all i would recommend this hostal to anyone, one thing make sure request a room on the back facing tha pool as the roag outside the hotel can get a bit busy."

"the hotel is very good if you like going out on the town, it is in the heart of san antonio. a two minuite walk and you are in the westend which is filled with bars and clubs!. The beach is also a stones frow from the hotel and there are many resturants very near. the food in the hotel was very nice and was not to expencive, the people are very friendly and always say hello. The drinks from the bar are very reasonable and it is very well kept. the pool area is nice and it has a lot of sun on it all day also there are areas of shade if it gets to hot. The reps that look after you were great and always up for going out. i am missing ibiza already, 1 other thing if you can visit calla bassa beach it is superb and only costs 6 euros by boat. thanks to all the staff, tom j"

stayed beging of season
"I stayed at the Hostel Tarba at the beging of the season and it was great. If you can get a room over looking the pool at the back of the hotel as at the front you can hear traffic All night long, take some ear plugs in case you cant change rooms! The hotel is family run and the staff are great. You can get a variety of food in the hotel resturant that is all very nice, the chicken salad is yummy with thosand island sauce on it!! The pool is just the right size and there is plenty of room to sun bathe and the roof terrace is a real sun trap so get out quick and on it!The location is brilliant as you walk a few mins and you are near the west end and a few mins more and your ar cafe mambo etc, i would go again providing i can get a room at the back of the hotel!!!"
