"Where do I begin!!! Booked a year in advance for the whole family 19 in total requested low rooms baby in tow and young children they put us on the top floor, lift stopped at the 2nd. Food was terrible hardly any choice ok if you like chips, entertainment via German reps was laughable (meaning absolutely useless) when we complained the rep was nowhere to be seen. Lift broke down twice once for the whole day not good if arriving with your luggage as you will have loads of steep steps to climb. Drinks were undrinkable and the Mexican Corner barman was was rude and unhelpful especially towards to English. The walk in to he town if you can call it that was very hilly. With hardly anything to do. I wouldn't recommend this place, ok if you like moutain climbing and nothing else. Difinitely wasn't invalid, pensioner or child friendly."

A LITTLE GEM IN PARADISE

"Had a wonderful holiday for 2 weeks at the Club Paradise Beach - All Inclusive - booked through Low Cost Holidays. It is virtually right next to the beach and a very cleverly built older building. There are 3 blocks built in a step design which means the apt above you has its balcony starting roughly where your patio door is which means you never seem to hear the people above you. In fact the walls appear to be quite thick so you hardly hear no sound from you neighbors either.
Hotel spotlessly clean throughout - it is a good idea that the cleaner comes every other day gives it a real good clean-leaving you a day of grace,
The majority of guests appear to be German and Dutch but there are English people there in fact we made some real nice friends English and Dutch. The whole atmosphere is calm and relaxed and the staff are lovely. The children are looked after well with the Sunshine Club and even Captain Jack Sparrow is there (you will recognise him).
I took my iPod with me as there is Free Wi Fi in the reception area which you can log directly onto - in the Beach Bar it is a more powerful signal they give you a password which lasts you for your whole holiday.
The Beach Bar is not quite what I anticipated it is actually just a few feet off the beach and is a long open fronted upvc type building with sides - bar and kitchens at the rear - bit of a shame that smoking is allowed there. The main barmaid Alanyia is a jewel and well loved, she is so efficient, obliging and pleasant. Whatever drink you want they seem to have the equivalent if not the very one - even if you want your beer in a Pint glass tankard you can here - I have not known this in all inclusive before.
My iPod charger died whilst I was there, I showed it to the man at reception who was so helpful. He said he thought the manager had one and to come back about noon he would see what he could do - sure enough later there was an iPod charger for me to borrow.
The food was fine, the choice was more limited as it is not a huge hotel. There was the normal buffet with English breakfast 2 sorts of rolls, cold meats, cereals croissants; tea coffee fruit juices fresh fruit etc. Lunch and dinner had salads and selection of pasta, fish and meat dishes - limited veg; ice cream cake etc. There was a selection of drinks on draught which you helped yourself to e.g. Pepsi and other branded soft drinks - beer - various wines and water. There was always something you could find to eat and the waiting staff are extremely pleasant and polite.
The whole area is so beautiful and the sunsets are gorgeous - the quiet little beach was in a cove with walks all around the headland. There is a lighthouse in the distance behind the beach car park.
It took no time to walk to the main part of Portinatx which has just a few small supermarkets, gift shops and bars and aprox 4 hotels etc - this is where you catch the local bus. There are 2 beautiful beaches here with views you will never forget , and the sea is so clear you can see the fish as you are paddling. There are Pedalos for hire on the beach or have an hours trip on The Glass Bottom Boat called 'Six To's' it costs 10 Euros. We went to Vincents bar one night for a change and saw a Drag Act it was a very nice place - most drinks were about 4 Euros - Amstel Lager cheapest draught 2.80 Euros.
Paradise Beach Hotel had about 3 cabarets on a week which were around the swimming pool - Parrot Show - Fabulous Magic Show - and Acrobatic Dancers seeing was believing they were so good this was in the Beach Bar.
Once a week they cooked a huge Paella at the beach bar for you and made sangria and were more than generous with the amount of spirits they put in it. They were even offering people just passing by or on the beach some as well.
If you want a quiet relaxing and utterly enjoyable holiday - book here you will love it.."

"We've just spend a great late summer break (1st week in October) at the Paradise Beach Hotel. We wanted a week away to relax and this was the place to do it. The hotel feels like its at the tip of the island, with its own wee beach/cove directly accross the road complete with bar (free if you're all inclusive with a wide selection of generic drinks)-bliss! the top pool was the one less favoured by children so was a good place to easily bag a sun lounger and relax away although the pool water was a bit chilly! Pool bar was good too and did some good mexican snacks! ice cream/ice lollies freely available at both throughout the day

only downside is that there is no bar area in the main building but wine, beer and soft drinks were on tap in the main eatery!

Food was great-that's a rare comment for us both to make. there was always loads of salad, fruit, meat, veg,(chips!), and fish available every dinner and lunchtime. The menus were put up at the start of each day which meant you could plan ahead! Breakfast had a fair selection of cereals, cooked food and cold meats. We tended to eat later to avoid over crowding and really apreciated that fresh food was put out throughout the entire eating period and that you were not rushed out if you were still eating once the dining area had closed! (just one example of the helpfulness and politeness of the staff here)

Entertainment wasn't really something we were bothered about (that's why we went as far away from the club lands as possible!). As previously stated by others it was aimed at the German contingent who are in very much the majority at this hotel.

You can hire decent beach towels from the hotel for a 10 euro deposit.

Wifi access in the lobby is an added bonus for those who want to keep uptodate with emails and facebook!

rooms are spacious and are cleaned every second day (you're told that on arrival!). good space on the balcony too. each room seems to have a fridge and air conditioning and no extra cost. There is a 2 ring hob too but glasses seem to be the only crockery-but then again we were all inclusive!

we hired a car with BK Rentals as it was cheaper than transfers and spent a good few days pottering about visiting other places in the Island-all very do-able and driveable! there is a public car park beside the hotel.

If you want a quiet sunny break, where you can chill, explore a bit should you wish, be well fed and looked after, this is the place to be!"

all inclusive food there is a varitey every day ...their special dinner days aremonday and thursday...breakfast is standard english breakfast, dinner and lunches vary mostly italian, english food..very absolutely delicious cake s and desserts..paella n sangria etc are also incldued... so is the alcohol....if u wnt to go clubbing this isnt really the place for you..as its more lazy town...and relaxed with couples, families and older couples...you can get a bus 5 min walk frm the hotel from the town to ibiza eularia etc..its 45 minutes away and costs 2.75 euro one way...(ticket can be bought on the bus for towards ticket) but when returnign you need to get tickets from the bus station as they dont sell them on the bus (weird not sure why)...they r other bars and hotels all around the place if u want something different....n souvenier shops etc...do make sure u get a snorkling gear as the town beach has so many fishes and sea life to see in the shallow water...paradise beach rooms were good..u can get a safe which is in ur room for 20 euros or so..rooms were cleaned aily as long as u leave the clean room tag out. .... air con was up n running with no issues.... one of the best holidays i have had so far... 3 *** to the hotel..."

"We went as two couples, arriving at about 1.30am. After checking in we were shown to the restaurant where cold food and drinks were there for us to enjoy. After filling our tums, we went to find our rooms. Lifts available if required. One bed apartment, with balcony and air con was great. Sheets and towels changed every two days. Pools were very clean and there was no rush for sun beds, maybe because we went in mid Sept. We were more than happy with the food. Although, the hotel mainly catered for the german clients, we were more than happy with the selection of food and would recommend going all inclusive. Even we were 15 mins away from the restaurant closing of an evening, they were still bringing fresh food out from the kitchens. Their desserts were fab. Food was also on hand for all inclusives at the beach bar and drinks whenever you want them. Staff worked their socks off and were very friendly.

Entertainment was mainly for the german clients with a group of two girls and two boys entertaining the guests - a big pat on the back to Andy who seemed to be the head honcho of the entertainers. He worked his socks off, especially with the little ones. He went out of his way during quizzes to ask the questions in english as well as german. Sometimes the questions got 'lost in translation' - however, it was all part of the fun! Well done Andy, you are a little gem.

Location: very quiet, and a 1 minute walk to the small local lovely beach, or a 10 minute walk to the main shops of Portinaxt where there were several other beaches. If you want a chill out holiday then this is for you! It is nowhere near the clubs of Ibiza - they are a 50euro taxi away. Buses don't run as often as they do from other towns. Took about half an hour to get into Ibiza town, however the bus drivers like to pack the buses like sardines, which was a bit hairy. If you want a busy place with lots of shops etc, this is not the place for you. For that, try Santa Eularia, which is a very nice place. However, if you just want to chill out, get some sun, read your book and eat and drink whenever, then you can't go wrong to pick this hotel. It was our first ever all-inclusive and we were absolutely delighted we made that decision. We would go back again, no hesitation."

Great 3* All Inc. hotel

"Lovely hotel in sleepy Pontinax.
Good check in, we had a one bedroomed appartment which was spotlessly clean and fine for our group.
Restaurant was a little small for the hotel, and this did result in having to wait for a table. The buffet food was very good and plentyful
There are two pools, the lower one being quite busy, and the centre for the animation activities, including water polo!
Across the road is a small beach which is perfect for families with toddlers. Portinax has two other beaches, which are better and busier.
There is also a beach bar which is included in the All Inc package. the two girls who work there are great.
However I felt the hotel could do more with this bar, there is a buffet area in it, but the food didnt look too appetising.
The majority of customers were German.
Weather was brilliant during our stay, and there was also a nasty forest fire nearby, which caused a few power cuts.
Portinax is a great resort, probably too quiet for teenagers, but perfect for families and couples.
We love Ibiza, and if your looking for cheap value for money beach front hotel the Paradise Beach Appartments would be for you."

Recommended resort for a lazy holiday

"We returned back to the UK on the 28st Aug after having a lovely lazy, hot week at these Apartments. We booked AI as it tends to work out a lot cheaper, especially with 2 teenage girls. On arrival (1.30am) the reception staff were very friendly and showed us to the dining room were we were offered a cold plate supper and any drinks we liked.

The one bedroom apartment was very spacious and clean and the terrace view was over-looking the pool. To the left was a pleasant view of the beach and sea which is just a 2 minute walk from the apartments. The beach is not as good as the one in Portinatx itself (10 min walk, mainly up hill) but it was handy if you just want to sit in the sun as well as having the advantage of the Beach Bar which served hot and cold drinks as well as snacks throughout the day, including ice cream. You can hire pedalos on the beach which is 15 euros for an hour and the surrounding area is ideal for snorkelling and diving (a diving club is on the beach). But beware that you have to pay for the sunloungers on the beach, even if you are stayng at the apartments. Two sunloungers and a parasol costs 13.50 euros per day.

The food at the apartments was good with plenty of choice and was always hot. There is also a bar at the poolside serving drinks and nachos until 11.30pm. The only day we had to queue for the dining room was our last day otherwise we were seated straight away.

Entertainment was limited to German but our daughter and her friend throughly enjoyed their holiday and made lots of friends, in fact, we hardly saw them as they stayed by the pool all day. Being AI enabled them to eat and drink when they wanted so we had no conerns.

This particular resort in Ibiza is very hilly and there were a lot of steps to climb to get to our apartment, even though we were only on the second floor. There is a lift but you have to climb steps to get to it. (Not easy at 1.30am with luggage in 30 deg heat).

There were only 4 English families at this resort but do not let this put you off too much. We did ask for an English information pack in the room but did not receive one and there is no English rep either. But as we have been to the island twice before we had a good idea of where to go and what to do. We had no plans to travel too far, this holiday was purely to sit in the sun, eat and drink, which we did and throughly enjoyed.

It's not a good idea to stay at this resort if you want a typical Ibiza clubbing holiday. It's nowhere near Ibiza town and there are no clubs in Portinatx.

Overall we were happy with our choice of resorts and accommodation."

"We just got back from a week at Paradise Beach, we did a self-catering option which I did consider upgrading to all-inclusive (would have cost me 70 euro a day), once I had assessed the catering options, but found that the queues to get into the restaurant were long, the other food options (Mexican Corner and Beach Bar) looked pretty ordinary so decided to stay self-catering, although this also has it's challenges as the studio we occupied has a very small kitchenette with 2 hot plates and a basic set of cookware, so you need to plan meals carefully. Also, without a car, the walk to the nearest Supermarket is approx 10-15 minutes, and carting groceries back to the apartment takes it's toll on a hot day, accompanied by the fact that the road is very hilly, and the fact that our apartment was on the top floor and there are loads of steps, even before you can get in the lift!!

So, you are now in the flat, the small but ample fridge is cooling down the beer/wine etc, and you go out onto your balcony via the french door (which must stay closed if you want the aircon to work!!!! I only found that out after I asked reception to swap the Room welcome pack from German to English!!!) and you can expect a very nice view of the small beach across the road, go down at about 8:30pm to take in the sunset, it's quite spectacular, from there there is a very nice restaurant (Pueblo) which does great seafood, or the Paradise Beach Bar which is basic and food is buffet style (All-in guests help themselves, we paid 20 euro for 4 meals - not bad after a long day travelling from UK). Then back to the apartment to relax (if you don't speak German don't even bother turning on the TV!!!!!!!!). From Thursday to Saturday there is a small Cocktail Bar adjacent to the complex which opens at 11PM till about 5AM, it's the closest we got to the "Clubbing" experience which Ibiza is famous for!!. With the balcony door closed the music is hardly noticeable.

The hotel reception staff were always friendly and courteous, there is free WI-FI if you want to take your laptop (in the foyer only, not the rooms) otherwise it's 1 euro for 10 minutes on their PC's.

In the town itself there are a few Spar supermarkets, beware some of the prices are ludicrous (2.75 euro for a loaf of bread, 1.75 euro for 5L water, 2.50 euro for 6 eggs) but I did expect it to be, although we went to Ibiza town for a day trip (Bus 20) and shopped in a more recognisable mainstream supermarket which was a lot cheaper.

Also you can buy ciggies and cheap booze at Boozy Buys (really friendly staff and you can even drink it on their patio) and if you're homesick then Del Boys Pub/Restaurant does fairly cheap food, they have Sky Sports for the footie etc..

All in all a family friendly resort town, really scenic and one which I would re-visit but would definitely consider car-hire,"
