"We've just returned from this wonderful Hotel. The location is spectacular and there is a wonderful beach down some steps from the hotel. The beach is quiet and sits in a fantastic setting. The food in the Hotel is fantastic, with a great range and quality we've not experienced before. We went all inclusive and this worked really well, particularly as there are few bars/restaurants in the area. The facilities are great with a lovely pool area overlooking the bay. Lots of things for the kids to do, including the extremely well run Mini and maxi club. The maxi club ties up with the facilities in the neighbouring hotel (same group). The entertainment staff were great and organised lots and lots of activities throughout the day. The evening entertainment from the team was also excellent and well organised. Some earlier reviews had outlined some staff difficulties speaking English. Although not a huge problem, this wasn't the case. All staff spoke really good english, far better than anywhere else we've been to in Europe. All activities were explained in Spanish, Italian, German, English and French. What is particularly good about this hotel was the Service. From the moment we entered, to when we left, we felt looked after. The reception staff organised an evening meal (as we arrived after 10pm) and moved our bags to the room when we arrived, so we really felt looked after. The maids really did a great job of cleaning and organising our room every day and the one problem we had when a shower curtain broke, was resolved immediately. The entertainment team, bar staff and restaurant staff were all welcoming and helpful, particularly for our children. A really relaxing and enjoyable holiday."

"just stayed at this hotel, i chose this hotel due to the reviews on this site. i must say the reviews were correct. this hotel is first class, my husband and i stayed for a week, (we are in our early 40's). our ideal hoiliday is to chill out, eat nice food and soak up the sun, and thast excactly what we did. Food - very good choice at all times, i cant believe that even the fussiest eater couldnt find something they enjoyed. service at meal times was exceptional. Pool - there are 3 pools, a small childs pool eg baby/toddler a 2nd pool for older children and a third full size pool, which is beautiful. the area around the pool is very clean, and within easy reach of the bar...... the views are spectacular, whilst eating dinner watching the sun go down. there are alot of french, spanish, italian people there but that doesnt bother us. the animation team were superb, especially Jurgen, he is crazy, and really tries hard to make sure eveyone is enjoying them selves. i truly cant fault this hotel. i have stayed in many 4/5 star hotels and this hotel is one of the better ones i have stayed in. the hotel puts on a free bus everyday to go in to town which is really worth a visit as the beach is beautiful. if you do go in to to town (st eulalie) and you want to but cigs make sure you take your passport with you ) well if you are thinking about going to this hotel i hope you d beccause you will have a fabulous time whether you its just the two of you or you have children."

Cala Verde Magnifico !!!!!!!
"Just back from Cala Verde !! Previous reviews which I read prior to booking hit the nail on the head. Very good selection of food, very clean rooms - effective air conditioning in room, superb bay location. The staff at the hotel very helpful - no language difficulties. Holiday makers mainly Italian & French & few german, very few from GB & I. Must say a very special word for Animacion team especially Jurgen, Simon, Laura, Marie & Jana & Maou who made our stay very special. Exceptional team of people. Best holiday by far !!!!!!!!!!"

Fantastic Hotel, great entertainment A+++++++
"Me, my wife and 3 year old son have just returned from this hotel. Definitely deserves the great reviews it gets. The food was fantastic, very continental, great choice, very good quality. Good labelling in all languages. The hotel was clean and tidy, the rooms spacious and the day and evening entertainment were very good. Laura on the animacion team was very good with the English guests, always checking that everything was okay. Jurgen the animacion leader was very professional and always approachable, and Maio (excuse the spelling ) is just so funny . The reception staff were excellent, any issues were sorted the same day. The majority of the guests were from France, Spain, Italy and Germany, but this was not a major issue for us, no hen party or stag do guests was a big plus. If you book through a UK tour operator do not expect a great deal of contact from your rep (can be a good thing), so ask questions at reception, they are only too happy to help. 3 pools, a small one for toddlers, a medium size pool and a large pool. All clean and presentable, with a life guard in attendance for most of the day (a big plus), no inflatables and no diving so also very safe. Sunbeds are often occupied around the pool area very quickly, however there are two sun terraces with beds that give great views of the coast, that are generally empty. Bar staff excellent, good selection of AIl Inc drinks, and drinks not AI get 50% discount so very reasonable. Near to the beach, but there are alot of steps. Great views of the coast and very scenic. Would definitely return to this hotel in the future."

"Just to say if you're considering this hotel/resort, give it a go. ...The hotel should stick to what it is doing because it does everything well. The location is quiet, but beautiful, 20 mins by taxi from airport. The food is good, spotless rooms, fantastic animation team.. For us it was tremendous value."

lovely hotel but no nightlife
"stayed at the cala verde with my mum and friend, beautiful hotel right on the beach and the food was amazing. Very little english or irish mostly french and spanish, german and itialian. everything was in 4 lauguages and not english. Would really suit family or loved up couple. hotel was spotless and some of the staff were friendly. Our welcome when we arrived was frosty to say the least. The reception staff were not at all welcoming. We were given armbands which we were told we had to wear at all times. Entertainment or lack of it .... was a dissapointment. No nightlife at all they even but all the lights in the lobby out at 12pm. i spent most night on line to my friends at home with the lobby light out !! the childrens reps worked long hours and were the night entainment as well!! but if your looking for a really quiet hoilday in a beautiful location this is the place for u."

Faultless in every way!
"I booked a last minute holiday for myself and my two young children taking a risk and getting the accommodation allocated on arrival. We could not have been happier! I have not stayed in a hotel for a long time, and never on a half board basis so I was a little dubious, but everything was wonderful. The selection and quality of food (buffet style) was amazing - all 3 of us had no problems choosing and enjoying our meals! The whole hotel was possibly the cleanest place I have ever stayed, with the staff unfailingly helpful, courteous and friendly. The guests being mainly Italian, Spanish and French, everyone there genuinely adored children and I felt extremely safe allowing my 6 and 8 years olds some freedom to play and explore without worrying about their safety. Having lived in Spain I was over the moon to be surrounded by elegant and classy Mediterraneans instead of the typical "Brits in Ibiza" and was made welcome by them all. The Animacion Team (entertainment) was by far the best I have ever seen. They worked hard and constantly, not minding the children who all adored them and wanted hugs and kisses every time they were within reach! Thomson should send their Kidzone Reps to whatever training the Animacion Team had - they could certainly learn a thing or two! This was a brilliant holiday - perfect accommodation, stunning location, excellent service, wonderful food and a smooth journey. Thank you so much Cala Verde for a simply wonderful time."

Very, very good!
"I was booked into the Cala Verde Hotel by a friend and I was NOT disappointed. It was a lovely hotel. Not alot of Brits there, which was good, considering my last experience in Ibiza, with shaven-headed drunken louts...the Cala Verde offered class and understated elegance. It was occupied mostly by Italians and Germans who set the tone by being totally continental, ordering a coffee, when a Brit would've ordered 3 lagers. The location is for those not seeking the club scene but for those seeking a romantic setting and just somewhere to totally relax. Enjoy breakfast overlooking the Med, totally peaceful and a world away from it all. The evening's entertainment was well-done and the performers really wanted to give a good show. They were enthusiastic and didn't fail to achieve a good night's entertainment. The Animation staff also entertained you throughout the day, if you wanted them to. Children were well-catered for and the staff never seemed to be hacked-off or wanting to go home! They were intent on the job in hand.....'to entertain'... and they did it so well. I would definitely book here again. I found the staff extremely helpful and courteous.....even as far as retrieving my hairdryer fluff-filter off a roof!! Nothing was too much trouble. The staff in the restaurant were brilliant...well-mannered and attentive and so polite. It helps when the people they're attending to aren't beer-swilling monsters!"
