"Not knowing what to expect we arrived at the Paraiso Beach Hotel around about 1-30 in the afternoon. We were greeted at once by Jackie on reception, how lovely an English voice. Whilst we waited to be allocated 2 rooms for myself husband and my daughter and son-in-law Jackie explained about the air conditioning, safe, tv remote etc; she then gave us all the cocktail of the day free. We then got our keys 2 rooms next door to each other no's 355/357 3rd; floor. There was a nice lift, we entered the room and we were quite impressed, large wardrobe. 2 small drawers. Glad I had taken a few extra coat hangers. 2 bedside tabes with a drawer in each. Another piece of furniture with 2 drawers in and the tv stood on the top. 2 electric sockets in the room. 2 single beds very comfortable, mattrees covers very clean no plastic to make you sweat. extra blankets and pillows in the top boxes. Nice shower room, hair dryer, sink toilet all very clean. Balcony not very big however there were 2 chairs n small table so was adiquate for us. We would have liked a rack to dry clothes on. Nowhere to put a lineand dare not hang wet washing on the balcony in fear of it dripping on the large balconys below. We washed our undies socks every day and dried them on 2 small hooks in the shower room. No kettle in the room however you could hire kettle and get tea coffee etc; supplied the overall cost for this was quite expensive especially that we didn't like the hotel tea bags or coffee. We had taken yorkshire tea bags with us so we took them down to meals. The food was very nice especially the soup and we liked most of the breakfast. Plenty of sweets and lovely ice cream, the staff were all brilliant. Juan and Salva were great, we enjoyed their banter, some great acts, Swimming pool very clean. Floats etc; to borrow free, loved the hotel. Would go back again not all that keen on Ibeza though. very hot in July.my overall rating would be 10 out of 10 ty x "

Nice hotel but
"The hotel was very nice good entertainment most nights, the staff were lovely and the hotel was set in a good location. Now here is the but The doors to the rooms had spring in the hinges and instead of people closing the doors quitetly they would let them bang suit so the ones to the front of our room and to the side would bang really loudly and somethings made us jump. Also although it states on the glass door leading to the pool said do not reserve sun loungers people were doing it and not laying on them for a couple of hours the only tome we got a sun lounger is when there were a lot of people goling home. This was a adult and english hotel so how can people moan about the germans hogging the loungers when we are just as bad."

Better than expected
"The paraiso beach hotel has a very relaxed feling the kind you want when on holiday, this is due to it being for adults only, the food was excellent and that is coming from someone who is a fussy eater, the wide choice and variety of food was really good and if you want a roast dinner every night its was there. breakfast was full english every morning if wanted with real bacon for me this was a treat. The staff could not do any more than they could to make you feel very welcome, that is all staff the reception, the bar staff and the resteraunt staff and the cooks, reely good. the hotel standard was good for what you pay I would say it was on par with the travel lodge back in the UK only the weather was better. Entertainment was good varied from night to night however if you like classic rock then one of the acts that show every tuesday must not be missed two guys called 'ME and HIM ' fantastic lead guitarist. Es canar beach was a dissapointment, quite dirty however a 15 minute walk around the corner is the beach of Cala Nova this was a great beach big, clean and fantastic waves great for belly boarding etc. night life in the town varied from bar to bar to many bars showing football for my liking only because it is the wrong shaped ball, i prefer Rugby, The hippy market was not speacial just a normal outdoor markett, if you want a belt white linnen, or cd's then i suppose it is worth a visit but not that cheap. Overall the hotel is sittuated just out of the main hustle and bustle, which I found good, comfortable size rooms not much of a view from balconys in standard rooms you are better of with a superior room on top floor more to look out to from the balcony, food excelent, enterainment good, staff very very friendly, looking forward to going back some time. "Have just discovered this site. We have stayed twice in this hotel, the first time was June 2006, we enjoyed it so much we took some friends and went back 3 months later. Really can not praise the staff enough, they really do make you feel your getting 5* treatment. The hotel is spotless, and the food is plentiful and delicious. Hoping to go to this hotel next year 2008. "

"My wife and I spent a fantastic fortnight in this lovely hotel. The staff were excellent from the reception staff to the cleaners, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is situated in an ideal position about half a mile tops from the centre of Es Cana and in a fairly quiet location although the Bull Bar opposite did offer some noise late at night. Es Cana is a very laid back resort with predomonately British people (but don't let this put you off!), there is entertainment although most of which is pretty low key, we found Charlies Bar by the quay side pretty good with Bingo and live acts every night, it did get busy though so get there early. Plenty of bars to watch the football in and plenty of restaurants if you fancy a change from the hotel. There are three beaches in fairly close proximity, we found the main beach in Es Cana a bit too busy and the loungers were quite expensive. The best beach and worth the half hour walk was Cala Nova, clean, great sand, cheaper sunbeds and big waves, what else could you ask for. The hotel offered fantastic food through out our stay with plenty of choice. Always served hot and replenished often. Ok the menu did get a little repetitive in the 2nd week but this is to be expected and you can't please everyone although they did their best to. The bedrooms were a little basic but were cleaned daily and after all you only sleep in them. Our room on the 2nd floor overlooked the pool and had a great seaview from two angles. The only down side were the selfish early morning sunbed hoggers, you know who you are and it's not clever. Forget all those stories about the Germans, these were all British. The island is very easy to get around on public transport and we visited Cala Llonga, Portinaixt, St Eularia and Ibiza Town all on bus or boat. We would probably hire a car on our next visit just to visit the places a bit more remote. I don't often recommend hotels because it is always subjective but I would have no hesitation for this hotel. We'll be back. "

"On arrival the staff were very welcoming. Hotel room was clean but very basic, Hotel could do with being updated. Average age group appeared to 60+, quiet hotel, entertainment was mediocre, best entertainment was Juan's bingo night. Prior to booking our holiday I had read reviews on this hotel and they were mainly all excellent reviews which persuaded me to go ahead and book this hotel. Therefore I was quite disappointed. The breakfast menu with a choice of Continental or full English Breakfast was really good, the dining room staff were very pleasant and attentive to your needs. The evening meals were a bit disappointing, one evening in particular the choices were, Liver or Kidneys not to everyone's taste, there also had either fish and on most occasions there would be pork loin, which I had just about every night for the 2 weeks. The potatoes were always undercooked, the veg was from the frozen variety and the mash potatoes with tomatoes looked like the powdered variety. The soup was also out of a packet. Although there was a sign up stating that the sunbeds could not be reserved, when we went down for breakfast about 8.30 they all had towels on them minus the people. We spoke to another couple who had the view over the pool from their room and they said they saw people putting their towels on the beds just after 7.00 am. The location of the hotel was quite central, not too far to walk to either of the two beaches, and a stone throw from the Hippy market which they had every Wednesday. We took the ferry for 14 Euros return to Ibiza town, this was not a tour operator trip, but I would recommend taking this trip even just for the ferry ride there and back. It takes 1 1/2 hours from Es Cana and you have to change ferry's at St Eulalia. Take a walk up to the castle in the old town as the views are breathtaking. We went on a Sunday when most of the main shops were closed therefore it was quieter and you could walk around without bumping into people all the time. I would give the staff of the hotel 10 out of 10, they were pleasant, helpful, attentive and very friendly. From the receptionist to bar staff, dining room staff and last but not least to the cleaners. "

"my husband and i recently stayed at the paraiso beach hotel in es cana for 2 weeks.the staff were extremely friendly and the reception staff spoke good english which was helpful.the bedrooms were ok and they were cleaned everyday.the meals at the hotel were brilliant and there was entertainment on everynight.the hotel was situated near to the famous hippy market which is on every wednesday.i would advise people to go early or late in the day as it gets very busy.it is a short walk to the nearest beach and there are quite a few bars and cafes within easy walking distance.we found the local buses cheap and easy to use. you have to take the bus to santa eulalia which is 10 minutes away and then change buses to many of the resorts on the island. i would stay at this hotel again"

"Having booked this hotel only 2 days prior to leaving we did not know what to expect, could not fault this hotel in any way. The view from some of the balconies was not great, mainly the ones on the first floor, but thatâs not the end of the world is it. One side looks onto the pool the other to the street behind. We had the street but had the sun all day if thatâs a bonus for you where as the pool view did not get the sun at all. Arrived in early hours of the morning to the hotel and were given our keys to the room on the 1st floor. When we wakened in the morning we were happy enough with the room but the view from the balcony was very basic. We asked if there was a possibility of a move further up the hotel and to my amazement they gave us a room on the third floor still looking on the street but because it was higher up you could see the sea etc. The rooms are basic but cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. You have air conditioning (which is an absolute must) in every room and pay a deposit of 10 euros for both the tv and the air con remote, money returned when you leave. LCD tv in every room which had a few English channels. Me and my partner (aged 42 and 49) were probably the younger age group with only a few young couples the average age was probably about 60 but this did not bother us at all as we went out the hotel most nights and then came back to peace and quiet. Only thing was the older ones hogged the pool, they got up at the crack of dawn to put down their towels. We went to the beach most of the time. We were half board and the food was amazing. Im not too happy to please but my partner is very fussy but he also thought the food was great. The choice was plentiful, from fish, meats chicken, cold meat, cheeses, pasta dishes, stews, casseroles and lots of salad stuff. Breakfast is good too with proper British bacon and eggs and the usual foreign food too but all very well cooked and tasted delicious. I tried lots of different things and was not disappointed with anything. Some of the reviews suggest that the food is not good but do not listen to them how anyone could say that this hotel had rubbish food is beyond belief. Now the staff, well what can I say, we have been to many different places abroad and these staff cannot do enough for you and its not just because they want a tip they genuinely want you to have a good time so that you will come back again and again. All staff worked in the Panama hotel which is a Thomson gold hotel which is further down near the beach area. The hotel was taken over the manager wanted to bring in his own staff so staff from that hotel were taken on at the Paraiso beach. They really do make your stay something special. I know I am saying a lot on this review but I really do feel that this hotel was fantastic hence why I am writing this review as I have never done this before. One small thing the rooms do not have a fridge its 20 euros to hire the fridge for the week but it was well worth the money. One other thing you should take a travel kettle with you if you can as you are not given one in the room. Do not pay extra for the superior room as we were told the only difference is a kettle, hairdryer and bigger balcony. The resort is small but has something for everyone. We have 5 children and they would have also liked this resort. Not having children in the hotel was strange for us but actually it was probably the most relaxing holiday I have ever had, overall an excellent holiday. "

"If you want an excellent stay this is the hotel for you. The staff are excellent the receptionist is already at the door to greet you from the airport and welcomes you with a cocktail whilst seeing to your details etc. The staff from managers to cleaners are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and there is something for everyone no matter what your preferences. The rooms are spacious and very clean. All in all an excellent stay, again thank you to all the staff. "

loved the holiday
"Went to this Hotel in middle of June and can honestly saw we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we went as a family group of my husband and me both 42 and our two kids 22 and 20 must say though our son found things a little two slow at this resort but for the rest of us it was fine. The staff makes this hotel such a pleasure to stay at they were all friendly, nothing was too much trouble and a very special mention for Juan and Adrian who kept our glasses filled ,and made us laugh. On arrival we had a courtesy cocktail which was refreshing the staff on reception were lovely also. Food was very good with plenty of choice, most of the entertainment was good, everywhere was very clean we would return here again but only stay in the the poolside rooms. The only downfall we could see with the hotel was the room around the pool (sorry not enough sun beds) as spiteful people out early putting towels on them and disappearing for food and out the hotel, sorry not seen this before done by the English we were shocked and disappointed (and for those that read this if this is one of you you're spoiling it for everyone) but that over thanks to all the staff there, for a memorable and enjoyable stay."

"good staff ,clean rooms, average entertainment, could be noisy after entertainment was over(midnight),people laughing and shouting until the early hours ,it would have been better if they had closed the pool/patio area at midnight and people could have moved inside, limited number of sun beds, usually taken up by [email protected] 30.es canar itsef has a fair selection of bar/restraunts ,a nice beach and boats to other towns"
