Great value for money holiday in the sun
"Es Cana in August was a great choice although it's suitable for families and couples rather than singles (who'd probably find it a bit boring). Our two teenage girls had a lovely time and were able to go off on their own safely. We loved the relaxed atmosphere, the beach was smallish but lovely (and we managed to find some space for our beach mats and towels, to avoid the expense of sunbeds. There were enough places to choose from for eating out and we didn't have a bad meal, although some places were more expensive than others. The 2-bedroom apartment was spacious, with a good-sized balcony and the kitchen had a good sized fridge/freezer - we ate in a couple of times and managed to whip up some excellent food with the limited equipment. The beds however were incredibly uncomfortable and we woke up with aches and pains by the second week. The pool is small but adequate for a splash around (not really for doing lengths). The noise from Popeye's bar downstairs is not a problem - we were never disturbed after midnight. The only problem we could see was the choice of acts - relentless repeats of Elvis & Tom Jones' impersonators - not really our cup of tea. If you're into fish pedicures, you'll get one in Es Cana for 10 euros, cheaper than the UK."
