You get what you pay for!!!!!! Brilliant.
"Visited June 2012, June 2013. For the last time, stop moaning about this hotel. We have been twice and have just booked for the June half term in 2014. Every bad review was from people who paid top dollar with Thomas Cook and expected to arrive at the Sandles Resort in Jamaica! To put the before mentioned 'Idiots Abroad' in their place I pay £1500 for 10 Nights All Inclusive for 4 in the school holidays (Low Cost Holidays or Sunmaster).... hence the title of this review! Rooms - Huge and Very Clean. Food - Great with a choice of 5 main meals daily, Entertainment - All for Kids... its a family hotel!. Staff - Great, learn a bit of local language (hello/thank you/good night) because you are in a foreign country so it helps to make an effort!. Cleanliness - Pool and bar area does get a bit messy, why, because us Brits abroad just stuff our faces with food and drink and then just walk off and leave all the rubbish behind when there are bins all over to put your paper plates and plastic glasses into, its us that make the mess, think about it, you probably do the same?. Location - Superb. 10 minutes taxi to the old town of Albufeira. 5 minutes walk to the fantastic Beach, loads of bars and restaurants nearby if you're not to lazy to have a stroll around! 30 minutes to the Airport. Please ignore all these reviews that slate this place, most reviews are based on people having a bad holiday for other reasons such as bad weather or lost luggage or getting ill with ear infections from the pool (not likely), or falling over on flag stone (probably drunk) or something that has nothing to do with the Hotel itself! Enjoy your holiday, don't pay through the nose, and stop reading reviews..... apart from mine.... its honest ( the queue for the bar can be long... just get 3 drinks! ) Bye"

Definatley not 4 star
"We have just returned from a weeks holiday staying at Clube Humbria, we went through the online travel company On The Beach. On arrival we were greeted by a Scottish lady screaming down the phone that she wanted to be moved from the hotel, due to the poor service, food & general unhappiness with the resort!!! Not a good start!!! We were then told we could not go to our room until 3pm, it was 11am and quite shocked as the resort website had said 2pm. We were not given any information on activities or amenities at the hotel. When we went to the pool area there were no free sunbeds, no umbrellas, overflow of the drains on the grass, overflowing bins, no direct access from the pool area to the main hotel, you either had to walk through a seating area or a table tennis table! The entertainment poolside was a loudspeaker for an hour with a man shouting out in Portuguese on the top of his voice. The food was quite good, but you have to queue for every meal, asked at least ten times how many people are in your group, then ushered to your table, the Portuguese guests always got priority seating over other nationalities. Like I said the food wasn't that bad, but the salads were a mixture of the previous days leftovers in mayonnaise, and became interesting with ham, cauliflower and mango mixed together, it was a real adventure if you sampled those. We soon learned that you must be up before 7am if you want a chance of a sunbed by the pool, and up before 8.30am if you wanted a sunbed in the garden area. There are about 3 static umbrellas and 4 large coke umbrellas but a lot of umbrella stands so you have to go to town to buy one. Most of the sunbeds are broken and uncomfortable, but better than sitting on the ant infested grass! The pool is always packed and has steep slopes with slippery paving into either empty or filthy foot washes, the pool itself is sandy at the bottom. While we were there an inflatable slide was put by the pool which each child was charged 5 euros a go! This resort should not be recommended to elderly people as there steep slopes going to the pool area which one poor lady fell over and had to be taken away in an ambulance! There are hamburgers available from 12 noon, but there is always a queue as they only have one staff member serving, this is the same for the main bar for drinks! The rooms were nice, clean but very basic, the hotel rooms may have a kitchen area but does not have a kettle, you must bring your own. The cleaning staff come everyday, but when they mopped the floor it became dirtier, but they were nice ladies and obviously over worked! The beds are horrendous, the are like cardboard and dip in the middle! But the air conditioning works, although its very noisy! Olhus de Agua itself was lovely, and i highly recommend the Oasis Cocktail bar! We spent every evening away from the hotel even though it was all inclusive as the queuing and the rudeness of some of the staff and Portuguese guests was intolerable! On the whole the problem with this resort is the 4 star rating Id say it may scrape a 3 star rating, the staff are overworked and understaffed, and the hotel is geared around Portuguese families and not British holiday makers. I would never return or recommend this resort to anyone!!!DONT BE FOOLED BY THE NICE PICTURES!!!!"

HOLIDAY FROM HELL
"Sold as 4* all inclusive holiday but it is not even worthy of a 2* rating. The food is dire, and i ended up with food poisoning!! no levels of hygiene - both swimming pools were in use but not once did i see them cleaned or tested and there were young children playing in the pools!!! i had to request that both the bed linen and towels were changed and that was after waiting 5 days!!! the maid was in and out of the apartment in 5 minutes flat and not once during our stay did she clean the bathroom sink, bath, toilet and the floors were not washed once during the whole week. If you are going there please take plenty of euros because you will spend it on food and drink because you won't want what is on offer in the humbria and trust me you will get totally fed up standing in the queues!!! absolutely disgusted"

"Unfortunately have to agree with the negative reviews. Hotel doesn't deserve 4 stars. Food is alright but very repetitive and boring but as expected I guess when going all inclusive. Pool could have been cleaner, my son and a friend ended up with an ear infection. Entertainment is great is you are under 10!!!! Nothing is done to entertain the adults, on the contrary, what they call entertainment makes you want to run away so so poor, all is done on the cheap. Rooms are spacious enough but mattresses could do with an upgrade. 10 out of 10 for the weather though!!!"

Clube Humbria Aug 2012
"We have just returned from our holiday. This really shouldn't be a 4 star! The apartments were really nice with plenty of space, air conditioning, somewhere to hang wet clothes, kitchen area, etc. The pool was nice but not enough sunbeds and guests were allowed to put towels on sunbeds at 7am! Some sunbeds with towels on didn't even get used until the afternoon! There was a lot of queing for meals, drinks, snacks etc which didn't help when you have tired hungry children. The entertainment during the day was okay especially for the children but in the evenings it was awful. The evening bar/ entertainment area was very small and the entertainment needed livening up a bit with some outside entertainers, i.e. singer. comedian, etc. It was very late for the children and again there wasn't enough chairs for everyone to sit on! If you were sat outside the bar the lighting was very poor and there was only one computer so if you used it you quite often had someone looking over your shoulder so it wasn,t very private. There was no one collecting empty cups, etc and so rubbish was left lying around for some time. The restaurant appeared clean and the staff worked very hard but the food was boring although plentiful. The hotel is in walking distance from a nice beach and nearby shops, chemist and Dr. It is cheaper to get taxis than to use the bus service but the theme parks are very expensive with more queing in the heat! I can definately say we won't be going back!"

"Just got back from clube humbria what a joke this is never 4 star having arrived in portugal stuck on a coach over 2 hours we finally arrived we were told our room was ready this was after 1pm checkin is usually at 2pm .We then climed the hill to our appartment noticing the lamppost leaning over held together by cable ties first impressions-help. Entered our room only given one key this also powered the rooms electricity. light in hallway broken, bulb had blown, toilet would not flush, light switch to bathroom had broken cover exposing wires ,loose cables on the balcony working the air con.good size rooms thats the only good thing.shower curtain filthy ,bath stained, curtains had holes in them and the walls were dirty .We asked to be moved but as usual there was no more rooms available we had to wait 3 hours to get the toilet fixed and the light switch only because we went on at them . we soon realised you have to get up early to claim your sunbed with your towel because there werenot enough to go round .after queing for each mealtime what a dissapointment, over the two weeks when being served pork kebabs for the fith time, and most of the meat dishes consisting of bones, our teenage children nd ourelves had to eat out so make sure you bring plenty of money.the kids were bored they only catered for the very young with the entertainment running all day and through the evening untill the bar closes at 11pm.the male toilets downstairs had no door on it you could see the men throgh the mirrors using the urinals the door is probably still off. The seating in the lounge area and outside area was in very short supply. There was only one barman on so there was even more queing and noticed the portugese guests were given glasses were every one else were given plasic cups ,what an insult .So overall worst holiday ever."

LOVELY START TO THE YEAR
"Arrived from a freezing cold Scotland to sunshine at Faro. Within 30mins had been picked up by avery courteous driver who offered everyone bottled water (he called it Portugese vodka)Arrived at hotel and did not expect such lovely accommodation. Spacious, very clean, remote control air conditioning, really lovely and peaceful. Food was a very high standard and the choice was amazing for the price we were paying. The staff were all exactly what you expect but seldom come across - helpful, friendly and efficient. one snotty receptionist, but hey-ho, she added to the conversation with the other guests who came from Canada, Florida, Germany Italy, Spain, Ireland, Scotland, Birmingham, Holland.Lovely chillout hotel at the beginning or end of season. A very few well behaved children were there with well behaved parents. It gets very hectic in high season with the kids club etc and quite right too. If I'de known about it 20 years ago, I'de would have been there with my children. Anyway, my bottom line is, if you are looking for peace and tranquility in lovely surroundings this place is hard to beat. We will be going back in October."

A great place to stay
"I have stayed at Clube Humbria twice now, 4 years ago and just returned from my second trip, It is a fantastic holiday hotel, clean, fantastic room service, friendly helpful staff, brilliant pools, lovely gardens, play park and football pitch for the kids, I have a 10 and 6 year old and they loved it. The restaurant food was great, lots of choice, I'm vegetarian and I wasn't stuck for something to eat like in a lot of places, desserts are fantastic! I've read some of these bad or harsh reviews which I find bemusing, I'm quite fussy and I love it here hence having been twice, location is great not to close to Albuferia (not my cup of tea) but the old town is worth a trip, 7 euros by taxi from Olhas de Agua, I'd recommend The Slide and Splash Trip, great day out and Zoomarine which has a fantastic Dolphin show, the town here is lovely with some great restaurants bars and nice beach, a ten minute walk away is Falesia Beach which is amazing, views to die for. I'd happily recommend Clube Humbria to any one, Couples/singles/families/retired you shouldn't be disappointed. I will be returning soon."
