Could have lived in these apartments!
"We've just returned from a weeks' stay at these apartments and we couldn't believe our luck. We'd done plenty of research on these apartments before we left, and were not disappointed. The arrival was friendly and warm, got straight to our rooms with no hassle and were given an lovely view from our balcony on the 4th floor. Very clean, modern kitchen too, so so well looked after, towels changed every day, floor moped inside and out. The only downside if you can call it one, was single beds for a 'couple' that are pushed together, but not quite the same. Sky channels a little limited too, only BBC1, ITV, Sky News and BBC Four. I would totally recommend anyone going to this area to book this hotel, as you are close enough to the action without feeling on top of it."

"I stayed here for two weeks in September with my husband and really could not fault the appartment. The accomodation is just as it looks on the photographs, very modern and comfortable. The LCD TV in the apartment has BBC1 and ITV channels which was good, even though you don't necessarily go on holiday to watch TV. The apartments and hotel in general were kept very clean. We found the laundry room downstairs handy, it only cost 2euros to do a full wash and there are tumble driers for 1euro should you need them. We were not too keen on the strip at night and preferred to go along to the old town by taxi, where we really enjoyed the sea food at Casa de Fonte in particular. Two restaurants I'd recommend on the strip are Donaldo's and The Jade Garden."

First Class Apartments
"We have just got back from this apart hotel and I was more than happy with the standard of accommodation we had. The apartment was very spacious with a large living room and kitchen area. There was a large separate bedroom with plenty of storage for 2 people. The bathroom was of a good size and very modern and had the luxury of a bidet. The only negative thing about the bathroom is the bath becomes very narrow up on end and if you are a large person you could struggle to get in it. There was a large shower head above the bath with was good. The communal areas of the hotel were very modern but could get a bit noisy at night as everything had tiled floors so you could here people walking around. We never ate in the resturant but the prices were quite reasonable and the drinks were also a good price. The bar staff and reception staff were helpful and efficient though we were a little disappointed one night as we had booked to go to the hotels BBQ and it got cancelled and no one had bothered to let us know so we had to make alternative arrangements that night. This was our first visit to the Algarve and our first opinion of the Alberfria it was just like Blackpool down the strip. This is not really our cup of tea but once we found the old town we were more than happy. It is about a 30min walk along the beach to get there or slightly longer along the road as you have to walk up a steep hill. The taxi charges around 3.20 euro one way which is very reasonable. You can get a good English breakfast at fisherman's beach for 4.50 euro which was excellent. The best meal we had was up the strip at the Golden Gate Chinese resturant it was very reasonable for a set meal for 2 was 24 euro. We went twice as it was so good we also met others in there that had been on a couple of occasions. Drinks in the resort were a very good price ranging from 1.50euro for a large beer to around 2.50 euro. Cocktails were between 5 to 6 euro which isn't to bad compared to Greece. One piece of advice is to get your money before you leave as the exchange rate out there is rubbish and we hardly saw a bank or a cash machine whilst we were out there."

"WOW! we've been to Albufeira many times but this was excellent for the money! 5 star more than 4 star. clean modern apartments. friendly staff and a lovley pool. bar open past midnight for drinks by the pool rooms cleaned daily excellent service.... the (picky) downsides...! the pool and gardens are fron facing so facing the road so more open that it appears but it was still walled in nicely. the grass area is surreounded by the private entrance/exit road and in some parts there are no fences just newly planted bushes, so for very little toddlers it is slightly unnerving but It wouldn't put me off re booking. This really was a fab place! booking again already for 2010"

Gorgeous, Newly built-would definitely recommend
"Booked the hotel before there were reviews on trip advisor (because it is brand new) but we lucked out, couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. got a great deal with flight and hotel. The staff are very friendly and assisted us on a number of occassions. There's a secluded beach down the road. The 'strip' of bars is less than 5 mins away and kiss fm club is directly opposite the hotel but you can't hear ANY noise from the club which is great. The hotel would be suited for young travellers, couples and families. Kitchen was a good size, with all the amenities (toaster, microwave, fridge, cooker, juicer etc) Could not have asked for any more!"

Great Apartments Great Location
"The apartments are lovely, nicely decorated and quite spacious, they have a lovely big balcony. They are well equipped even with a juicer! however the charges for breakages are quite steep. It is only 5mins walk from the montechoro strip and 2 lovely beaches are very close. The location of the apartments is close enough to the action but in a quiet area. The pool area is lovely and clean but the pool gets shady quite early in the afternoon. There are lots of sunbeds and umbrellas and 2 kiddy pools. However there was an unpleasant smell which arose quite often, i am not sure if it was coming from the outside toilets or the storm drain which was in the grounds. The bar area is quite small and not very atmospheric, the evening entertainment wasnt to my taste, but having a 7month old with us we wern't really there for the nightlife. The food is not that good either, but there are so many other nice places to eat (try Chilli Bar & Poeta) The staff are all nice and very helpful. The apartments are a bit noisy at night with the entertainment but it is not unbearable, we had very noisy neighbours and could hear them quite clearly there is also a lot of noise from moving tables and chairs, i did hear the music from kiss disco a few nights but again it is only very slight, i was the only one out of 4 in the apartment to hear it so it is not bad. The apartments seem to be very popular with potuguese families and there were lots of kiddies, our week ran into july so i suppose all the kids are off school now. I would reccomend a trip to modello shopping centre as the essentials like bread, milk, cheese etc are very expensive in the little shops, i walked with a buggy in about 35mins, but it would only be a few euro in a taxi. Overall we were really pleased with the apartments and the location, this by far outweighs the negatives that i mentioned."

"Me and my sister stayed here with our partners, we were a bit worried as the hotel looked to good to be true for the price we got it for. We was amazed when we arrived it was gorgeous better than expected. The staff were very friendly and cleaners were in our room nearly every day. We went self catering but we did purchase some snacks from the hotel and it was very nice jus a little expensive. The pool was really nice dont worry about the kiss night club we only heard it once great place for all ages especially young people as the strip was a really good night out. Would defo go bak here luvd it. Theres a really nice place at the top off the road that does breakfasts for 3 euros and there really friendly and helpful whether you want a relaxing holiday or a clubbing holiday this is the place to go ."

"These apartments are really nice as they are new and just hope they stay that way, decorated in a comtempory way with microwave, plenty of pots and pans if needed and air con in lounge and bedroom. We had a double balcony with a door from lounge and from bedroom onto balcony. We were on the 1st floor near the lift so was noisy late at night as everone walked past the door, also had noisy neighbours moving chairs and tables ALL the time but that wasnt the hotels fault. They have a singer or karoke on a night time and was very noisy til midnight, apparently they are building a wall and a door soon to stop the complaints about it. Never had a problem getting a sunbed and was quiet around the pool as hardly any kids there as there is nothing at all for them to do except a paddling pool. I would go back but have to have a top floor room"

"Brand new , very clean , friendly helpful staff , impressed by room decor , situated just off best end of the strip , nice little beach down hill , no prob getting sunbeds round pool , indoor pool and sauna not finished yet but no noise or workmen , security gates on entrance , no noise from kiss disco over road it looked deserted , would go back anytime" "nearest beach down hill sunbeds for day = 6 euros each , good cheap breakfast top of road at calipto (3 euros) , large supermarket (modello) 45min walk closes at 13:00 , smaller supermarkets closer but more expensive , 5 euros for taxi to old town , lovely meal down seafront .""

Best I have ever stayed in
"If you are considering staying in these apartments, do it now! We have just returned from honeymoon at Areias Village (31st May - 10th June) and are blown away by the quality of the accomodation. The pics of the hotels are computer images only and they do not do it justice, this is true 4 star rating not the usual overrated accomodation that you get abroad. The only thing stopping this from being a 5star is the fact that it has no kids club or no gym / fitness suite. Good Points = Modern , clean (6days/week cleaning), very stylish , good location , friendly staff , nice food, excellent pool / gardens / sunbathing / access control gates Bad Points = no kids club , no gym / fitness suite / no wireless internet Consider this = get a room with pool view and dont worry about the kiss disco across the road you wont even hear it. Generally, the food in Portugal is nothing to get excited about espically if you know good food, but dont let that worry you because Albuferia is a beautiful place."
