âLovely time, great hotel.â
"We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this hotel. Rooms We were delighted with room's cleanliness and stylish interior. Free use of the electronic safe and air con. was a real boost. Also, reception will give out free towels for the pool which you can change as and when. We stayed at the Mediterranean Palace in Tenerife last December and this beats it for room size and comfort. The shower here is the best we've had. Hotel The hotel is a real delight and the breakfast buffet good - there always seemed to be enough space for eating breakfast and getting a sunbed by the pool. It's mostly couples who stay at the hotel, so most of the time it's quiet around the pool and you can chill out. The pool bar plays a local radio station which plays classic 80's and 90's and this was quite good. The staff are excellent. They are happy, friendly and helpful and very professional. Local Area The taxi rank is about a 2 minute walk from the hotel and The Strip is about 5-10 minutes away, but we only ventured in there a couple of times. The best restaurant of the holiday for us was the Taverna Pegasus - turn right out of the hotel, go to the top of the road, cross over and go straight up the road opposite for about 5 minutes and the restaurant is on the right hand side. Another favourite place was Invictus bar and restaurant which only opened a month ago. This is on the way to The Strip on the right side of the road. The staff at both these places are excellent. We went into the Old Town quite a bit which costs 5 euro each way by taxi. We found the food in the square wasn't as good as those restaurants in the back alleys and side streets so please explore. Just along from the taxi rank in the Old Town, there is a restaurant called La Barca Dolce - we had a meal there and thought it was excellent Itallian food. Bars to look at are Sir Harrys and Central Planet, both with excellent entertainment and great staff. Also, look out for the mime act in the square. He is there most nights and we found him very funny. All in all a great holiday. The Portuguese people are very friendly and we would go back again. "

What is going on???
"i stayed in this hotel for one week and when i arrived i thought it looked really nice. The rooms were very clean and modern and we had a fantastic view to the sea. But when we went to the pool it looked like being in the Addams family house: you see black candels all over, never seen something so strange before plus in the middle of the day!!Music is very loud during the day so impossible to relax you expect some good music in the evenings but then it gets even worst cause the local dj they have plays some shocking tunes and the discoteque lightning doesn't really suit the pool area.nice hotel but i would go to the beach to sunbathe during the day and go out for some good entertainment at night time!"

Cheap Quick Getaway Hotel
"Financially this is a pretty cheap place to stay. Staffwise, not helpful at all and some are quite rude. Rooms are lovely. Beach is at the back of the hotel but you have a long walk down to it via steps. Ok going down, pretty hard coming back up. Nice restaurant on beach. Much nicer than the hotel and better value too. Cant check in 'til 4pm so book afternoon flights if possible as thsy wont let you in. I found the nightlife in hotel soooo boring. Nothing going on and you have to order drinks in the restaurant, which is a disaster as the waitress dosnt like to be bothered too much in there. Maybe thats why the restaurant was empty nearly all of the time. Pool area is so so small that you can nearly hear every conversation that is going on. Ok for a cheap getaway for a few days max."

Have some problems
"Last July stayed there with my family. Take care when booking as with the same brand âPedra dos Bicosâ and probably from units of the same group, youâll find the Hotel and an Apartment-Hotel. The hotel is quite new and with a very nice looks both outside and inside. We got a room with a stunning view to the sea and the pinewood. The room is comfy but small for a couple with a child and the walls are so thin that it seems youâre sleeping at the corridor. The breakfast was catastrophic. 4 waiters were completely lost, trying to do their best but really away from a 4 stars hotel standards. During our stay every morning we saw the same: tables still had dishes from previous guests, sometimes give up and got the cutlery ourselves, food refill took much time, etc⦠Complaint about this at the reception and they told me that the hotel management changed in June and they were aware of this problem but still trying to solve it. It is a good new for future guests as the hotel is so nice that deserves a suitable service. In July was very easy to park at the front of the hotel. The location is ok and close to good restaurants, supermarket and Oura beach. Overall I found this hotel very expensive for the service provided."

"We stayed here during off season and it was incredibly good value for money for the class of hotel. The rooms were very nice, modern and clean. The location was great and very close to the beach and to the main strip. There is also nice gym on the roof with a fantastic view overlooking the hills and the ocean. Best of all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Because it was off season the cooks were not making buffet breakfasts which were included in the price as not to waste food, instead they asked us what we would like and made it for us on the spot, which was great! They served us everything you would find in the breakfast buffet in a hotel of this class. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends/family!"

Fantastic. NEEDS MORE GOOD REVIEWS.
"After reading the handful reviews I could find, I left for holiday unnecessarily apprehensive. This hotel is a gem, swish and sophisticated... and highly, highly underrated! PROS 1. Location. It is smack in the middle of pine forrests, on a cliff, with a 5 minute walk down to the beach and great ocean views. "The Strip" is a 10 minute walk, but there is a grocery store, and loads of other restaurants and bars 2 minutes away. Essentially, the hotel/apartments separate the beach from the town. 2. Breakfast. Large buffet with plenty to chose from, served poolside... lots of fresh fruit, cereals, eggs, bacon, sausage, juices, cheeses, meats, pastries, etc etc etc 3. Pool furniture. There are lovely sun beds and wicker cocoons...they also have the standard pool loungers. 4. Cleanliness/Newness. Everything is so new, and clean. 5. Clientele. This place has yet to be hit by stag-nights, hen howls, and all the rest of Europe's loud and abnoxious. When we stayed, it was mostly Portugese, Spanish and Germans...all very polite. 6. Rooms. The rooms are modern and clean. Very quiet. Very easy to sleep. We had an amazing sea/forrest. CONS 1. The beach you walk down to can get a bit crowded, but just keep walking further along and find a more isolated spot. Also sun beds on the beach cost 6 Euro. ENJOY!"

couldn't have been better
"We booked to stay in the quinta pedra dos bicos studio appartment, we arrived saturday evening, went to reception to be told due to an electrical failure in the appartment block we were unable to stay there. Instead they said we could stay in the hotel and allowed us free breakfast every morning to compensate for there being no self catering facilities in the room. The hotel and resort were well above our expectation and we were very impressed, being brand new everything was a very high standard and the balcony view was very good. I can't speak for the appartments but the overall resort was good and the location couldn't have been better for us as it's 5 min walk to the strip (we're both 19 so went out every night) but quiet at night and the air-con made it easy to sleep. For the money we paid, the holiday couldn't have been better, the hotel is rated at 4* and well deserved it, the pool was adequate and the staff were friendly. I would like to go back again and would recommend it to anyone"

Very nice and design hotel
"Near the famous Strip Street in Albufeira, but in a nice and calm place. The staff was very friendly. The room was very nice. The breakfast was very good. I don't have tried the pool, but it seemed a little bit small in summer. The hotel has a outside parking (not private) and garage."

"I booked 4 nights at this hotel and when arriving late night there they told me that there wasn't available rooms at the complex and suggested me to go to Bela Vista apartments (another complex) wich I refused. I ended up at 10 pm at night searching for an available hotel with my wife and kids... Is this a Hotel or a Hostel?"
