"Thanks to all the staff at Kennedy for making our trip to Malta so special. We really enjoyed our evening near the pool on the roof terrace. The view is really amazing.
Rooms was clean, bright but TV was a bit old. Breakfast was generous. Staff was very helpful and friendly."

Not 4 star
"Stayed at this hotel for 7 days in December. We has a sea facing room which was a little better than the rest. Room was cleaned every day and the cleaning staff did a great job but furniture was rather shabby and dated,
We were disgusted by the number of time share louts operating from hotel trying to con older people.
The food was not of a good standard so we ate out most nights.
Dylan on reception was lovely, helpful and pleasant.
Would not rate this as a 4 star hotel more a 2 star hostel.

"Booked kennedy nova for march. Had great time, the hotel was lovely, very clean.Had towels chaged everyday and fresh pillow cases on every day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Booked breakfast it was lovely everything you could ask for. Only thing about hotel wasnt that great was the room size it was very small but nice. Hotel was close to bus stop and ferry stop. Go on the buses is a must they are cheap and great way of gettin around.Would stay in this hotel again!"

Great hotel but one note of caution:
"When we arrived we were horrified that our room was looking into a sort of 'lift shaft' and in order to see the light of day you had to go onto a little balcony and look up 4 floors to see a few feet of sky! The photo on their website shows beautiful views overkooking the creek but to get this view you have to stay in a room with numbers ending 01 02 or 03. That being said, the hotel was excellent, staff very helpful and rooms very clean. The restaurant is excellent and the staff there more than excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone plus in an excellent position to travel throughout the island. Most fares a single amount of 20cents. From airport, take bus 8 to valetta then 68 to almost hotel front door - cost 40cents!! Try a visit to Cafe Jubilee, great bar and great food only five minutes away."

"my partner and i have been coming to this hotel for many years, and find the place a dream. The rooms are very nice and well kept. The staff are very helpful and are willing to go out of their way where ever possible. Overall a very pleasent stay! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!"

"Walking distance to tons of restaurants and easy location for sightseeing pickups. Across the street from the harbor cruise boats. Only the rooms facing the street/harbor have a view and those cost extra. The room was nice and the service was good. Breakfast was included with the rate, and they offer a dinner meal plan which I thought wouldn't be good considering there's such a wide variety of restaurant choices steps away. It's a short drive to Vallenta."

"Really liked the Nova: good location, on bus line and across from the promenade; excellent lobby where guests hung out in the evening chatting about the day; friendly staff; very reasonable dinners, with their coupons it was about 4 ML for a 5 course meal. Quality of meals varied from very good (lamb) to not so good ("Asia Night" - somehow they didn't get that sticky rice doesn't mean it's cooked 2 hrs). Breakfasts ample, w/omelettes, pastries & cereal. Staff very accomodating.
Cons: the room looked out on an air shaft (view rooms extra), the tv had weird colors, no bellhop. If you like nightlife or quality restaurants, there's not much nearby - more snack shops, etc.
For the price, I'd stay again and have fond memories of the hotel. The negatives were incidental to me."

Perfect location for sightseeing
"The discounted holiday was well worth the visit. Although we had a shaft room, the first few nights were very cold and so the excellent heating was very welcome and cosy.If you want a sunbathing trip then this is not for you. The roof is very adequate with pool, bar etc, though very small. the views over Valetta are amazing. The hotel is geared up to couples who want relaxation good food and sightseeing. the buses, boats, ferry to Valetta and guided tours are right outside the door. The staff are very good, the retaurant is excellent and the choices over the week are very good and international. Watch out for raised walkways and recesses especially in the common areas if you are disabled or enjoyed the local wine. The music in the evenings was diabolical- keyboard player with prerecorded tunes and a bit of singing."

"Date middle of February through March 2005, After a very long flight I arrived in the late evening and very tired. I was escorted to a room on the second floor next to an elevator and the window faced the street. It was unacceptable to me. I came to rest and did not want to be surrounded by noise. I was not willing to spend a night there, so the manager looked for another room, I went up to the 4th floor, but the room was dark a small balcony looked into a shaft. It can be depressing. The service on the 5th floor was excellent. That,s what made it worth while and bearable."

It could have been better.
"My partner and myself, stayed at the Kennedy Nova, from 16th nov till the 30th.
When we arrived we were given a room with the shaft style outlook.
We were not at all happy as this was a special holiday for us both, and we were promised a veiw by the tour company.
We complained and were offered another room with more light when one came available three days later.
We were given a higher floored rear room overlooking the streets of Sliema.
Could have got better, but at least we had some light!
The pool was on the roof so was no good to us with the time of year!
The gyme was small but usable, so my partner said anyway, and she would know.
The food was outstanding, and the service, (apart from a few odd times) was great.
I would agree that the star rating is a bit high and should be about three.
If you are considering this hotel, then I would make shure you you agree beforehand with them exactly what you require, and they will try and be of assistance I am shure, as I was to find out.
Watch the Timeshare hawkers though!
They can be a pain!

more like 2 star
"The Kennedy Nova Hotel (Malta) is graded as a four star. The accommodation is such that it merits no more that two stars. The construction layout of this hotel resulted in the majority of the rooms being "shaft rooms" ie rooms with windows or doors looking onto a ting balcony, with a view to a similar room fifteen foot distance. Natural daylight can only be sighted by peering upwards. The lower the floor level, the gloomier the room. Two weeks was spent in such conditions and it was most depressing - the holiday spoilt."
