Beautiful residence with a great place in Venice
"The apartment has a great location. It is a short walk from the bus station and railway, and shipping after Venice. It is one of the major decisions in which we decide what to choose apartment nearby. The reality is even better. Owner very nice and greeted us pretty happy.
UriÄitÄ ever return to Venice again and we will use the apartment in which we liked."

"We loved this apartment which was ideal for our purposes...in a great location, within a few minutes walk of the station, vaporetta stops and all the sights, yet so peaceful. The 24 hour reception was particularly useful and reassuring as we arrived late at night. Tthe candlelit entrance was magical. The staff were available but inobtrusive which we appreciated. Strongly recommended."

Beautiful with easy access
"What a wonderful experience, staying at the Palazzo Odoni starting from our e-mail communication, to finding the residence and to the friendly welcome. We had arrived in Venice in the middle of a heatwave, so lugging luggage around Venice aimlessly, like we saw so may others do, did not happen to us due to the great directions and the palazzo being literally only 4 minutes away from the parking. The stairs upto the Palazzo Odoni reception were quite steep but we got help from management and staff, thank you very much and the airconditioning that hit us as we opened the door was very, very welcoming! The reason that I did not give the so well deserved 5/5, the room smelt musty, as we opened the door, which corrected itself with the aircon. What could have also been great, would be some tips from the hotel management or staff on recommended restaurants and where to catch a gondola, where you do not get so ripped off but then again, maybe I should have asked because we were always welcomed back on our return from the day out in the scorchering heat.
Michel and staff, thank you for a wonderful time, we will be back!"

Not as advertised!!
"Here is the advertisement that we rented from (also came along with canal view photos), " Large apartment of about 100 mq.in 2 floors with canal view and antique furniture. Dining room with fully equipped kitchen; living room, 2 bedrooms with a double bed; 2 fully equipped bathrooms with a Jacuzzi bathtub and hairdryer. " - our canal view consisted of a decaying stone wall and a rusty air conditioner - our email correspondence mentioned the canal view and how much we looked forward to the view - it was the only reason we rented the apartment!! Even though we were not renting the exact two bedroom apartment listed in the vrbo ad, I was clear about the canal view! The air conditioner did not work the entire time we were there and when we asked about fixing it we were told to talk to the manager who happened to only be available while we were out sightseeing during the day (we asked to have it fixed three times). It was nice to wake up to the smell of fresh coffee every morning - but no, the breakfast was only for (?)apartment renters and we were merely room renters. Since I've gone to the trouble to write a review, I might as well add that the mattress was about as comfortable as that decaying stone wall that we had to look at! You can find just as nice but better located accommodations for this price in Venice - in hindsight, really wish I had not been so enamored with the "canal view" and found something closer to St. Mark's Square. Overall, a very disappointing experience!"

Beautiful Room, Convenient location.
"We stayed here two nights prior to a cruise. We chose this hotel based on reviews and location near Plaza Roma (and the railroad station). Navigating in Venice is difficult, but we found the hotel without too much trouble. It required crossing three bridges with suitcases, and the three of us had six suitcases plus carry on bags. The bridges all have steps, so that wheels on luggage don't help there.
When we found the hotel, we received a friendly reception. The room was actually an apartment in front overlooking the canal. It had two floors, the upstairs had a king bedroom and the bathroom. Downstairs was a small kitchen and a huge living/dining room with chandalier and two windows overlooking the canal. It also had a sofa bed, and lots of room for an extra bed if needed. We paid 210 euros per night without breakfast for this lodging. It was one of the few places that three people could stay in comfort and privacy.
It was about a 20 minute walk to San Marco square, but you can take a vaporetti from Plaza Roma around Venice and to Lido. One ride costs about 8 euros, but you can buy a one day ticket for about 20 euros. You need to validate your pass on each trip. Usually nobody checks, but we did see them check on occasion. The location was great for a short visit to Venice, but I would recommend a place closer to San Marco for those on a longer stay or who wanted to avoid long walks."

Fab apartment, extremely helpful owner
"We had a great holiday in Venice, and our apartment, overlooking the canal, was spacious and very suitable for a family with teenage boys. All extremely clean, comfortable beds and modern bathroom. Kitchen area was ideal so that we could keep costs down and location very convenient. We got the coach in from airport and bus station was 5mins walk from there (very easy). Maids came in daily, made our beds and even cleared any dishes.
The apartments are within the same building as the hotel (same entrance), but run by Michael, a relation of the hotel owner. We found all existing reviews on trip advisor relating to Residence Odoni were very helpful and accurate. We managed to be there when the volcanic ash cloud happened, so it was a stressful time, while we planned our return trip. Michael and his wife were very supportive and helped with our extra accomodation and let us use their laptop.
We would definately recommend Residence Palazzo Odoni to our friends and thank Michael for a very memorable holiday."

Beauty, Elegance, and Venetian Style
"Palazzo Odoni is just how you imagine a stay in Venice should be. It is elegantly furnished with antiques, oriental rugs, beautiful artwork, and Murano glass chandeliers. The units are spacious and have huge windows with lots of sunlight. We did not have the canal view. Ours looked out onto a tiny, quiet courtyard and the neighboring rooftop. It was very peaceful with the only sounds being the nearby church bells and squalks of the sea gulls.
The apartment had a well equiped kitchen, a huge bathroom by European standards with a jacuzzi tub, and a very spacious and comfortable bedroom. There was a TV and excellent, free, wireless internet service. The palazzo has been in the Giangreco family for 5 generations and they treat their guests like members of the family, always helpful and friendly.
It's an easy walk from the railway station, Piazzale Roma or the San Toma vaporetta stop, in a nice, not-so-crowded area. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby and Campo Santa Margherita is just a few steps away with a morning fruit, vegetable, and fish market stalls, good cafes for a morning coffee or afternoon spritz, a little grocery store, and always lots of activity and good 'people watching'."

This apartment hotel was super, providing a perfect home for a week in Venice.
"We stayed in the Residence for a week. Note that the Residence provides apartments and there is no breakfast provided, which leaves you free to find a bakery and a cappucino where you wish to on your way around the city each morning. We had a large, airy, beautiful one bedroom apartment on to levels. The living room overlooked a small canal. At night it was very quiet; partially because there is no vehicle traffic, partially because it is in a quiet area. The apartment had all we needed to make meals; we even made a rather complicated meal with steamed arrtichokes, calimari and mussels. It was great to go to the market and bakeries walking distance from the hotel and purchase vegetables, fruit, fish, milk, cheese, wine, etc. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, but not overly intrusive. The hotel is easy walking distance from Piazzale Roma which is where the Airport bus arrives in Venice (the direct bus and the public bus from Marco Polo airport). This location is very convenient to the hub where all the vaporettos start out, so you are able to go from here to anywhere in Venice on these water buses. You can also walk from the hotel into the centre of the city if you choose... you will get lost but you can easily get onto a vaporetto bound for the Piazzale Roma and you will be near to home."

Epitome of Venice holiday
"Firstly, it is located strategically, near the main train station and also bus boat stops. Not touristy at all and a supermarket is just around the corner. Especially for us Muslims, there is a kebab shop 2 mins away. Secondly, the whole property is very well maintained and clean. The apartment we stayed in was wonderful, overlooking a small canal and definitely cleverly furnished. We all felt like it was our home and in fact was the BEST apartment among the rest of the others in Italy! The staff were friendly and helpful, be it the chamber maids or the owner himself. The whole experience was well worth, even more, our money so we absolutely would come back! Excellent..."
