Good value for money
"Was abit concerned about booking a 2 star hotel but as i wanted a cheap get a way holiday for the family, i went with this one. At first appearances i thought "oh no what i have booked" but appearances can be deceptive. Our rooms where in the Mini Miami with view over the pool and because there was four of us we were given 2 rooms with which were adjoined. The rooms were spotlessly clean, beds made everyday and towels changed every day. The pool and bar area are well maintained with plenty of lidos and umbrellas. The staff were really helpful. The food is typically italian and was very nice. We had a fantastic time, the promenade, the beach and the shopping area are lovely not tacky. I would recommend this resort and hotel."

"Stayed at Miami Hotel with my husband and 2 Friends. It was a budget holiday so we were pleasently surprised by the standards at the hotel. It was spotlessly clean. The food was lovely, salad bar every evening then a starter which was huge.Main course to follow which was mostly very nice.Sweet course to finish. You had a choice of three different dishes, which you ordered the night before. The waitress was very helpful, taking time to explain anything we didn`t understand, regarding food or anything else. All the staff were very friendly including reception staff. We hired bikes which were free. There are cycle lanes and as the resort is very flat it is very easy to get a about on a Bike. The beach is lovely, not too busy at this time of year. Mosquito`s were a Problem especially in the evening,- take lots of repellent. You can get a bus outside the hotel, then a water bus to Venice.Buy your tickets first from the tobacconist shop nearbye. We also did Verona and lake Garda on an organised trip.would have liked more time in lake Garda.Went to Portogruara market, very nice-but again would have liked more time to explore this beautiful little village. When we arrived home my husband realised he had left he`s wallet in the safe.He emailed Miami, they had already handed it to our rep (Becky} She sent it out to our address and we received it about a week later. All the contents intact. A HUGE "THANKYOU" to Becky, and the Miami hotel for you`re honesty. All in all a very enjoyable holiday. Mrs Thomasson. "

Great value for money
"I was a little worried that there were so few reviews for this hotel and some really critical reports however this hotel was great and am unable to find little of fault. Rooms - I had a standard room which was 3 single beds (2 pulled together to create the double), a large bathroom, with WC,sink, bidae and shower cubicle (note no bath). The rooms were spotlessly clean and the towels were changed each day. The one criticism is there is no air con which I did know before I went, however this makes the rooms unbearably warm. I was here the 2nd week in June and it was hot, so it must be boiling in July & august!! You cannot sleep with the doors open due to having to have the shutters down due to the amount of mosquitos!! Meals - Breakfast was fine; cereals, croissants, breads etc. There is a small amount of hot food - eggs and bacon which did not look very nice and were not topped up. neither was anything really. Once its gone its gone - do not turn up any later than 9. But the food that was available was plentiful to start the day with and was very fresh. The evening meals have to be chosen from 3 options in the morning. Being a vegetarian there were no options available so we ate out each night in resort. But half board for £250 with Thomson I couldnt complain. However other guests advised the food was just 'OK'. Location - Excellent - 5 mins from the beach. The hotel has its own section of beach however they only have deckchairs and no sunbeds. However the deckchairs were free and suprisingly comfortable. 2 mins from the main stretch of restaurants, bars and shops. No noise from any passing traffic. Bar - a little outdated decoration wise but brilliant service, good prices and again very clean. Ideal for those with children or for a night cap on the way back. Pool - Could do with a little brightening up and is on the main road but there are plenty of sunbeds and chairs. If you have small children please note there is no shallow end it is 170cm deep the whole length of the pool. This is an ideal budget hotel in a great resort. There is virtually nothing to complain about just a few niggly things but for the money paid compared to other hotels this is a real bargain and would recommend to all. One final note this is worth a 3 star rating and not the 2 star tour operators show it as."

"A pleasant hotel well located in Jesolo. Near Piazza Aurora which has some night life in the Piazza. Friendly staff. Meal quality in evening very good with at least 4 different starters, main and puds, they will also cook a pizza should there be nothing to tempt. usually enough veg to go around. Packed lunches were good as my wife and I swapped the sandwiches. Unfortunately the pool was a little deep for non confident swimmers as anyone under 6 foot could not stand with their face out of the water (I am 5'9"). Noisy ceiling fan fixed promptly. Free beach chairs and umbrellas but get there early for the front row. Main shopping street 3 min walk and the beach 10 minute ( with a 7 year old !). Booked the tour with Thompsons with no hiccups. As we are forced to go during the school holidays the price was a little steep but worth it. Venice is a 45 minute bus and 45 min boat ride but the journey soon flies by, (make sure you get a ticket before getting on the bus). Aqualandia is about 20 minute walk away and you can save a couple of euros by buying the tickets on the main street first. This was our second visit to Jesolo our first being 10 years ago when my wife and I married. The resort is ideal for all ages and the beach is the best I have seen. The water comes up to your waist for 100 feet and there was life guards on duty on 'our' beach."

Just got back from Lido Di Jesolo after ...
"Just got back from Lido Di Jesolo after a 2 week holiday with my wife and two kids at Hotel Miami. The staff at this hotel are fantastic; hard working, very warm and very friendly. The rooms are very small but the cleanliness is amazing. The food isn't brilliant but not that bad either. However if you have young children I would not recommend staying here: the pool is quite small and has no shallow end. The only 'entertainment' is a table tennis table. The rooms are very small and there is no air conditioning only a ceiling fan. We were here July 27th - August 10th 2007. The first 2 days the heat was unbearable. After that it rained on the Monday and never really got above 32C for the rest of the time we were there thank goodness! But even so we were bitten to death by mosquitoes; they are a big problem. Lido Di Jesolo is one long huge strip of restaurants, hotels, and shops. Thereâs not a lot to do at night except walk up and down the town though there are singers performing in the bars. The beach is a huge disappointment. This is not because it is rocky or filthy; it is sandy and has blue flag status. It is just that it is entirely covered from end to end by deckchairs which belong to the hotels. Each hotel has its own demarcated area and the deckchairs have the hotel names embossed on them. Itâs like sitting in the cinema and if you end up sitting at the back then you wonât end up seeing the sea - no 'spot the brit' playing cricket on the beach with the kids! Not only that there are absolutely millions of illegal immigrants walking up and down the beach all day trying to sell you leather goods and massages - they are a real pain! The police will fine you if you they see you buy from them but the sellers donât get punished! Anyway you never see the police on the beach but you will see them at night towing away illegally parked cars. Two weeks is too long in this resort; Iâd say 10 days max is just right. If it rains then you're stuck cos thereâs nothing to do except visit the aquarium. Itâs a good base for visiting Venice; the Dolomites and Verona and Lake Garda but once youâve been you probably wonât bother coming back. If you can come in June or early July. During our two weeks we were told by the rep that there were one and a half million people in the Jesolo area so you can see how busy it gets. There is a fantastic campsite at the far end of Lido Di Jesolo next to the lighthouse and that part of the beach is open with no deckchairs so if youâre still dead keen on having a holiday here Iâd definitely look into that rather than staying at the hotels. The campsites swimming pools were much bigger and there was lots of entertainment going on."

great budget hotel
"i must admit i was abit dubious about booking a 2* hotel but i had read good reviews and the price was so low i took the chance! and i am so glad i did. yes the rooms are basic but they are very clean and big enough for 2, i thought the food was ok. yes there is abit of a stampede for the hot food at breakfast time but i was ok with sticking to the fresh croissants! and at dinner time you have to be quick to join the queue for vegetables and potatoes or they all go. the rest of the food was fine though. you choose in the morning what to have at night. and if you are going to miss dinner time due to an excursion then they will make you a packed lunch to take with you instead. the wine was good value and you can drink 1/2 a bottle one night and the other half will be waiting for you to drink the next dinner time. the waitng staff were very friendly but also very busy. there is a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you to the port for venice - very handy. the bus ride and ferry takes about 1hr in total. i would go back"

nice small and friendly hotel
"we booked this hotel with thomsons and after a speedy transfer from the airport we arrived at the hotel miami. check in was swift and easy and we settled in for our first night, rooms were basic but immaculatly clean and this is more important than the decor in my opinion. next day we attended the welcome meeting with the thomsons rep, very informative and no hard sell at all, infact i think he talked more about the cities and the things you can see and do rather than trying to flog you a trip. we booked florence with the rep as its good value for money seems how far away from jesolo it is and this was a fantastic day because florence is very beautiful and is packed with museums etc. we decided to do venice on our own on our 2nd day, buying tickets was easy from the tabacchi however the bus was overcrowded and so was the ferry connection....one local women was even holding her baby over the side to make room for everyone else, i found this a little unsettling. venice itself is very crowded during the day, the rep did recommend going in the afternoons about 4pm and we wish we had taken his advice as other guests who went in the evening seemed to find it just charming. the food in the hotel is good, nothing amazing but there are some excellent eateries near by and the rep recommended magnolia as we loved sushi and also any of the restaurants in corto lazzo which is a small village at the other end of the resort which we didnt have time to check out. all in all a lovely stay at the miami, nice guests in this hotel and its a steal at the price thomson are offering it for. thanks to everyone for a lovely stay."

Friendly hotel with good food
"The hotel is situated on the" strip" a lovely flat area right near the beach. It is basic but clinically clean with fresh towels everyday. The food is good with a choice of courses everyday. Staff are extremely helpful. Recommended!!!."

Stay somewhere else!
"I stayed in this hotel with a large group and would not recommend it! The hotel is made up of two separate buildings. Our room was located on the 4 floor of the 2nd building (not where the main reception is located). Good luck getting more than 1 suitcase and an adult in the tiny elevator! Our room had two single beds and a bunk bed that blocked the only opening window. The walls were paper thin as we could clearly hear the conversation being held in the next room. The furniture (end tables and telephones) were placed inside the closets. The washroom was very tiny, the shower flooded for many of our group. We also had ants in our washroom!!! A personal article from one of the tour members was broken, yet when reported to the front desk, nothing was done to resolve the issue. Dinner is served in a main dining area which reminded me of a cafeteria. The meals were very mediocre.Dessert consisted of half of a canned peach with syrup. The wait staff in the dining area was very rude and snippy. If there is nowhere else to stay, you may want to consider Hotel Miami...otherwise, you would do well to book your stay somewhere you will enjoy. We were disapointed."

"I have been to the Hotel Miami in Lido de jesolo twice now, the first was out of season so we went back last year in August. The hotel is very freindly and clean, the rooms are lovely and all have a ceiling fan which comes in very handy, there is a safety deposit box in every room also. The dining area for Hotel miami is small and you have to share a table with other guests, the evening menu's are ok but nothing great, (fresh fruit consists of a nealy frozen whole peach in a dish) The breakfasts are not worth getting up for as the rubbery scambled egg and greasy bacon is normally all gone in 5 mins flat. However the Hotel is in an ideal location 2 mins from beach, Waterpark and main street. The restaurants nearby are all very good priced and great italian food. I wouldn't reccomend the Hotel Miami if you are hoping to save money by staying half board as you end up eating out anyway. The dining area reminded me of school, hand bags at dawn to grab the last fried potato, Unable to move your chair for fear of hitting someone else as you are so tightly packed in !! But if you want a nice clean hotel in a good location of a really beautiful place then the Hotel Miama may be for you."

Our one week holiday to this resort was ...
"Our one week holiday to this resort was amazing! It is the perfect mix of having the beach only a 5 minute walk away and having venice within an hours travelling distance. The beach is really nice - with free deckchairs and the touristy shops are nice to look at in an evening stroll. Our hotel was great - very nice staff and the food was plentiful and tasty. We went to Venice 3 times. The 1st time we went with the tour guide to get our bearings and to get a group price on the gondolas which were amazing. The other times we got a bus outside our hotel to the port then the ferry to Venice. It is almost impossible to get lost in Venice as it is so small and people are more than happy to give directions. Other trips we took included - beautiful lake Garda, Verona and island hopping in the lagoon."
