The Pools are nice but the hotel ist too big and crowded the hotel has about 200 rooms !! The Service is ** , the staff is not helpful and you feel as number not as guest !!! Excellent Hotel - Terrible Service!
"We stayed at the hotel for two weeks with our two year old child. We wanted to stay in a hotel with all the comforts including nice restaurants now that we brought our little daughter. We booked the hotel back in April. Overall we liked the hotel, but the lack of good service from almost every employee - espicially the staff in the reception - made us angry several times. A few exampels: 1: They forgot that we came with a child (no extra bed in the room) 2: The children pools are not cleaned every night 3: The reception staff is not familiar with the services and offerings in their own hotel brochure 4: The SPA/Wellness treatments does not at all meet expectations if you know just a little bit about "what to get for your money" i.e. you could not tell the difference from a sports massage and a Anti Stress massage... 5: In general the staff has this irritating Italian-snobby-what-the-(---)-do-you-want attitude. Not at all 4 star service - more like 2 star. We will never visit Hotel Cæsius again."

Even better than last year!
"I posted a review after staying at the Caesius last year, echoing other posters' comments about what a marvellous place the hotel is. We had such a brilliant time we had to go back, and what a transformation! The new buildings, and especially the pools, are unbelievable. The same excellent service, the same wonderful food but the garden and pool area is out of this world and moves the hotel into a different league. My only fear is that this place will become so popular that I may no longer be able to get the bargain deals I have enjoyed for my two visits to date."

"What a treat! This is without doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in. It is stylish, immaculate and efficient. The room was lovely, air-conditioned and well-appointed. If you're on a diet - forget it! The restaurant never failed to provide us with superb food - 4 courses every night. The staff are wonderful, helpful and polite. If you visit, go to the spa on the lower floor."

"Hotel Caesius was brilliant, we had a fantastic time. The hotel is kept lovely and clean, the rooms are large with everything you need. We were on the ground floor and had a terrace with a table and chairs outside. You don't need to take towels as even pool towels are provided in your room. The pools are fantastic, and there is so much room, we swam every day and there is a smaller pool with buttons to press all around it with different types of jacuzzis. We also went to the indoor pool one day and in the wellbeing centre there were perfumed aromatherpy showers, sauna, steam room etc. The food was lovely, buffet breakfast and the waiters bring you coffee. The evening meal was 4 course A La Carte. You have the same table all week. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Special mention to our waiter, Frederico, who explained the meals in very good detail and also Alessandrio, who was very funny. You could also book a meal in the gourmet restaurant which we were told was fantastic, but we just did't get around to it and enjoyed trying the different menus in the A La Carte. Most evenings and some days we walked into Bardolino, which was lovely, 3 nights while we were there, there was entertainment in front of the Church, there was a choir with an orchestra. The atmosphere was wonderfull. The ice creams in Bardolino were fantastic, but i was often too full from my evening meal to eat one. We went on the Wine tour, which we thoroughly enjoyed and also to the Verona Opera to see Aida, i am not really into opera and neither is my husband but it is not to be missed!!! It was fantastic, you can't really describe it, you have to be there. We also caught the ferry to Malcesine and Sirmione which were lovely places to visit. We went up Monte Baldo in the cable car at Malcesine. We wished we were there for longer than 1 week and felt very sad to go home. We don't normally go to the same place for a holiday more than once as there are so many places to go and places that we would still like to see, but i think this will be the exception and we will be returning asap,"

Family friendly luxury at the Caesius
"Spent May half-term here with husband and 2 children (7 and 14). We have never stayed anywhere like this before! Had booked a suite and a bit worried about building work being finished, whether it wolud be cramped for 4, or have good beds for children in lounge area, but needn't have worried as it was huge! All mod cons (towelling robes, slippers, bag, umbrella to get from our building across garden to restaurant, shampoos, 2 showers, bath, hairdryer, pool towels, 2 tvs, fridge etc). Staff very helpful - cooked something different for 7yr old as not keen on one evening's menu. Everything in Italian, German and English. Meals, 4 course, were very good. Also recommend afternoon tea daily at 4.30 - little cakes/biscuits/fruit. Daily programme of activities eg walks, stretching, if you wanted. Gardens very nice, lots of pools, also indoor pool with jets/jacuzzis. Walk to Bardolino took about 20 mins - would be very hot in summer even though by lake. Bought provisions in Bardolino to make sandwiches some days, there are one or two lovely provisions shops, post office/stationery shop and lovely cake shop. Courtesy bus from hotel on timetable, just need to book at reception, can also collect from Bardolino at certain times, again let them know. Went up the lake to Malcesine and Limone on boat - about 2 hours; and up Monte Baldo - need to allow plenty of time going up and down mountain to get back for last boat at about 5.30 pm from Malcesine. Would definitely go back for a special occasion! (We were celebrating our silver wedding)"

"We stayed for a week at the Caesius in May 2006. There were 9 of us on a family holiday, with an age range from mid 20's to late 80's. The hotel had just re-opened after major refurbishment and it was a wonderful place to stay - much better than any hotel I have stayed in on a package holiday. Pool area is good, indoor pool and sauna etc are really well designed and relaxing. We had massages/facials too which were also well delivered and not too pricey. Rooms are modern and comfortable, fully airconditioned, great showers and hairdryers! LCD TV in room which would have benefited from a free music channel. We only ate in the hotel twice as we prefer to go out in the evenings (plenty of good restaurants in Bardolino and neighbouring resorts to sample) but the food was good in the hotel with plenty of choice and the staff were excellent throughout our stay. The location of the hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Bardolino, an easy stroll along the side of the Lake for most but not so good for the older members of our group. Overall I would highly recommend the Caesius and we wouldnt hesitate to go back."

"Arrived home from this hotel yesterday and felt i just had to write and tell everyone how wonderful this hotel is. The hotel has only just been finished, with lots of new blocks of rooms and a pool that is out of this world. Our room was only a standard one but it was one of the best we have stayed in, with bathrobes and slippers, pool towels and a bag to carry your items to the pool.(the pool was only finished 2 weeks ago). There is a fantastic spa with saunas, steam room, indoor pool etc. The whole place actually felt like being in a top notch health farm (but with glorious food and lots of sun!).Which leads me to the FOOD-it was excellent with lots of choice, very attentive waiters. The whole dinining room experience was very tranquil and relaxing. The hotel itself is situated about 20 minutes from Bardolino, which is just about perfect for a stroll along the lake at sunset-BREATHTAKING. I cant recommend the hotel and its friendly staff high enough, we will definately be returning."

Great hotel and place
"My boyfriend and I stayed half board at this hotel in August 2005 and loved it. We normally don't like staying half board because we prefer to eat out but the choice was fantastic. You have waiter service to your table and can eat lunch or dinner and the food is literally as nice as eating out. We still ate out quite a bit and there is a good choice of restaurants and some bars in the main town centre which is around 20 minutes' walk from the hotel. The rooms are really nice but not many English TV channels. The pool is small and people put their towels on the sun loungers really early in the morning, despite the fact that there are signs not to, which is very annoying particularly because the lake is not good for sunbathing around. The actual place is lovely with some fantastic scenery around the lake. We got a ferry to Riva and it was like paradise. We would both highly recommend it for a week, but there is a lack of bars and beach for our taste to stay any longer!"
