Really lovely hotel
"We stayed in the Cruccuris for our honeymoon and it would be very hard to fault it. The hotel was well designed, modern yet traditional and clean. We stayed in one of the villas with it's own patio looking out over the mountains, which was beautiful.
The food is good - although the only possible downside is that it is not possible to have dinner there in the evenings. The staff were friendly and the pools quiet and peaceful.
Would highly recommend"

Great Honeymoon! Worth a visit!
"Fantastic Hotel, cleanest pool Ive seen for years, a fresh courtesy towel each day, relaxing, not too big, not too small, and friendly staff always happy to help.
You need a car however, the hotel is off the main road, up towards the hills: a 5 minute drive to the town and 1o minutes to the nearest beach.
The rooms are big, air conditioned and very clean.
Unfortunately, the eat-as-much-as-you-can lunch is rather expensive at 20 euros each, but well worth it. The breakfast was superb, with a wide variety of options.
If your looking for a relaxing holiday, no English idiots, polite, helpful and friendly staff in a great hotel, then book now.
I booked through Expedia inc car, flights and 1 weeks stay for less than a rival Sardinian specialist holiday firm.
Dont forget though: get a car."

We arrived at this hotel after having just spent a fantastic week in tunisia at the royal kenz ,Port el kantaoui.
We flew by Tunisair from Monistar and landed antisipating a better than average hotel because of the good reviews, but were at the same time prepared for slight dissapointment after the service at the Royal Kentz.
We need not have worried at all.
This hotel is a little gem set in the hillside with amazing views looking out to the sea.It reminded me of a hotel more remenisent
of Mexico than Italy with its pastel shades of pink and yellow done in a very suttle way.
In fact if I had been the first reviewer of this hotel i would have kept it a secret so that i would not have too share it with too many
people(not that it felt crowed at anytime although it was July)
Most of the time as previous reviewers have said, we had the lower pool to ourselves.
This surprised me as I would have thought that people not having
cars would have been somewhat restricted to the hotel.
In fact i would say a car is a must as one of the few downfalls of this hotel is the abscence of an evening meal(which would be great to have had seated around the pool and lanscaped gardens) and a far too exspensive lunch menu(15 euros)
which only consisted of salads, fruit & cold pasta.
But this was not a problem but pherhaps a bonus as it led to us having some wonderful meals at the Su Giganti hotel & restaurant a short distance down the road.
The Cuccuris hotel is very quite & peaceful, perfect for honeymoon couples but alas does not have any night life for people who crave it.
But there again is ideal for people who make their evening meal the main event of the night and who after having one or two many glasses of vino, just want to sit on their balcony or slip into bed and fall asleep without the constant thump of disco music.
I can only reiterate the good things that have already been said of the young staff that run the hotel and urge you give this under graded hotel(possibly because of the no evening meal) a try."

"We spent a long weekend at the Cruccuris Resort with friends.
The rooms are clean and a good size. All the rooms have a back pation with a small table and a lounge chair.
The pool(s) are nice and relaxing and their are plenty of chaise all over to choose from.
The breakfast was wonderful. A large spread of fresh fruits, pastry's, cereal, freshly squeezed juices, yougurt, etc.
We did not have lunch at the hotel. BUT, they will pack you a lunch for the beach. We didn't partake beacause we were only there for 3 "lunches" but we probably would have if we stayed longer.
The staff at the hotel were also very sweet and accomdating. They made all of our dinner reservations, hired a boat for us for a long day and were happy to give us directions anywhere we wanted to go.
The Campus beach is close - but part of the beauty of Villasimius is exploring all the beaches in the area, all offer a very different atmosphere, color & feeling.
That being said, You will need to rent a car! The drive from the Cagliari airport takes about 60 minutes. And the drive to the village takes from 5-15 minutes depending on the "activity" going on. I wouldn't recommend walking to the beach, restaurants, town, etc. because there is a strech of "highway" that you have to walk along (and cross) in either direction that does not have a shoulder or a sidewalk. It didn't seem like a safe walk.
The hotel does offer a shuttle, however, it has specific times when it leaves the hotel and when it picks you up from the beach. If you miss the morning shuttle, the next one leaves at 2pm - this may put a damper on your day at the beach - just fyi!
We can't wait to go back!!!"

Perfect honeymoon destination
"we stayed at the resort for 7 nights on our honeymoon. We thought it a bit remote at first, accessable via a dirt track up a slight incline. The Hotel was outstanding, the room was lovely and cleaned daily. We had the grassed pool area to ourselves for most of the week. The only thing it lacked was an evening Restaurant. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. The staff couldnt be more helpful. Pity it wasnt closer to the town or the coast as we found it virtually impossible to walk anywhere due to the lack of paths. Car hire is a must-we didnt have one, we left it too late to get an automatic (advisable to book at least 2 months in advance). We got around using the Easimius shuttle bus (10 euros for 4 days, its like a taxi only much cheaper) Taxi into Villasimius cost 10 euros each way. Take a phrase book as English is not widely spoken. Overall, it was the perfect place for a honeymoon, we would love to go back."

We loved it!
"A beautiful small hotel excelent for lovers and romance.
Excellent facilities and helpful staff. Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately the hotel is lacking a restaurant of its own, so you have to go by car or the hotel min bus for dinner."

"From the moment we arrived at Cruccuris Resort we knew we had found a very special place. The layout of the resort is very well thought out, with a beautiful large swimming pool which is even suitable for swimming lengths, as well as a smaller, shallower swimming pool which is perfect for children. The grounds are immaculate, with a variety of flowering plants and also trees for shade. We were particularly impressed with both the room and the terrace area. There are all the amenities you would expect in a good quality hotel, with the added advantage of wonderful views and fabulous weather.
I would advise you to leave plenty of room for breakfast as the spread of food is exceptional. There are plenty of tables, even at busy times, and the food is always fresh and very tasty.
I must also mention the staff, as they were immensley helpful at all times. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and they helped to make our holiday a truly memorable one."

Relaxing by the pool, surrounded by hills
"I found the hotel on tripadvisor and contacted the hotel directly to book. The staff spoke English and were very helpful. The hotel is set away from the main drag, up a dirt track and is surrounded by hills, with the sea in the distance. It is a well designed resort, about 2 years old, with accomodation spread out in clumps so that you get more of an apartment feel, rether than staying in a huge block. We were there near the start of the season, and most of the guests were couples. I have to say this is why we opted for the place - although very welcome, there seems little there to entertain kids, and the ones who arrived relied very heavily on their parents for entertainment. You definitely need a car and the hotel does not have a restaurant for evening meals, so you always eat out, or buy your own food and picnic on the balcony. This suited us, and the local restaurants proved reliable and tremendously good value. Breakfast and lunch, if you stayed onsite during the day, were always great. There are two pools set in the immaculate grounds, one more lively with the bar and main hotel, the other set in grassland, quiet and restful. When we were there, we often had this to ourselves. It is a great place as a base for the southern part of Sardinia, easily reached from Caliari, and the beautiful and varied local beaches are often hidden - buy the Practical Guide to Sardinia's Beaches book - and deserted. Ask for sea view/ ground floor/balconyetc when you book, there are quite a range of options and I'm sure they could find a room that met most requests. Well worth visiting."

Relaxing stay at the Cruccuris...
"My fiance and I have just returned from a wonderful holiday to Sardinia, which was made all the better by the Cruccuris Resort. The hotel was immacurately clean, tastefully decorated and wonderfully quiet - just what we were looking for.
Normally we hate staying at the hotel during the day and can't wait to get to the beach, but on this occasion we spent a number of days around the pool, sometimes we would be the only ones all day!!
The staff were all fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful in directing us to restaurants in the town or tweaking their lunchtime menu for us!!
Needless to say the beaches are beautiful and must be discovered - use the guide they provide in the rooms.
The only drawback to the hotel is that a car is a must, although I am
sure this only adds to it being quieter!!"

Lovely hotel, friendly staff
"Just returned from the Cruccuris Resort, which we booked after reading the other reviews about this resort. I must say that we were not disappointed and could now understand why this hotel had so many excellent reviews. It was spotlessly clean, the pool area and gardens were well kept and were full of colour. As it was slightly off season, there were not many guests, however the staff went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant. We stayed in a suite, which was very spacious, had a beautiful sea view, pool view and views of the hills - what more can one ask for. We had a car, which was a wise move, as the hotel is a little secluded, however this was a positive point and made the perfect setting for one of the best long weekend breaks we have ever had. If we were to go to Sardinia again, will definately return to this hotel, but perhaps more in season. I can't understand why this hotel is only a 3 star, as it is better than some 4 star hotels I have stayed in Europe. Nick and Chris Antoniou"
