Nice and friendly
"Great location within walking distance from the train station and steps from the shopping/restaurant area. The staff was very pleasant. We had a room overlooking the sun deck and our room was very clean and airy. Be sure to check out the solarium before you leave (we didn't and wish we had). Breakfast was adequate. Some guests can be noisy as they come and go (late night/early morning) and the hallway echoes the noise. Hotel was recommended by friends and we would definitely stay there again!"

Great location, good value, friendly staff
"I have stayed at the Hotel Mignon 4 or 5 times over the past several years and am always happy to return. The location is great (right in the heart of the town) and amazingly quiet for such a central location. The rooms are spacious and simply furnished, always clean, and the general atmosphere is perfect (tranquil, relaxed, and friendly). The continental breakfast, delivered to your room, is almost what you might expect except for one criticism: amazingly the coffee tastes more like instant -- a shock when you're in the land of great coffee. Still, only a 3 minute walk from Sorrento's (if not Italy's) greatest bar (Bar Rita, next to the cinema) and you can indulge your craving for great coffee, pastries, food)."

"I and my friend stayed here three nights in July 2005 and we loved it. I still can't believe that it is just a one star hotel. Everything is very clean and comfortable. The best thing was the bathroom, big, beautiful and blue. The worst... it was rather noisy at some times, but I didn't pay much notice of it, it was just children having fun across the street. When travelling in Italy you have to bear in mind that people stay up late, are a bit loud and only have a cornetto and espresso for breakfast. So go with the flow and you'll love it!"

Nice hotel, good location
"We stayed here for 4 nights (July 31-August 4). The hotel was very nice especially for the price (90 Euro per night in high season). The room was very clean and large. We had a patio attached to our room that was nice to sit out on in the evening. The bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water, though the towels (more like sheets) could use a little upgrading. The room was air-conditioned which was critical to have in the hot August heat. Anna, the receptionist at the front desk was great and took good care of us. She suggested several good restaurants including, Trattoria da Emilia and Da Gigino. Sorrento is a great home base if you want to sight see to other places like Pompei, Scavi di Erocolano, Positano, and Amalfi."

What a lovely hotel
"The hotel was nice, we wish we had stayed longer (one night, June 25, 2004). We came by train, the circumvensiana, and got off at Sorrento, the last stop. We were hopelessly lost for two hours before finding the hotel, our own fault. Out of the station, go down the steps, straight ahead you will see the Hotel Nice, make a left at the hotel and go straight a good 20 minutes, through two squares. After a church and school (you see these on your left) turn left, just before a bar, through an archway. The Hotel Mignon is through this archway, and the name of the hotel blends into the brick. No elevator, but the staff helped us carry our 4 suitcases. We didn' need a view, we lemon and orange trees off our balcony. The room is cozy, with blue everywhere. The bathroom was nice, with plenty of hot water. Thank God for AC, it was hot while we were there. The hotel accepts VISA. The bathroom also has a hair dryer. Breakfast is simple. Shops are nearby, it pays to comparison shop. Not all stores take credit cards, some require minimums. At the restaurants, go for the tourist menu, it's a good buy, and filling (22 E for the two of us.) When we return, we will stay here again."

Great budget hotel
"great room for the price. comes with a/c, breakfast of juice, coffee and rolls. room was nice and clean. ana, the receptionist, pointed us to a great italian restaurant. we didn't hear any noise from our room. location is convenient - off a main street which is closed to traffic every night, only walking pedestrians are allowed. we got up late on sunday and thought we had missed church mass, but there is a church only less than 3 minutes walk from the hotel."
