"My friend and I travelled around Ireland for 15 days and spent two nights at Larkinley Lodge. It was our favourite accommodation. The house was lovely and conveniently located, the room was beautifully appointed and the beds were very comfortable. Toni was so warm and friendly, and her Irish breakfast was fantastic (truly the best coffee I've ever had - from Cork apparently!). If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Thanks Toni!"

"Amazing stay! We travelled Ireland on our honeymoon for two weeks and this was an amazing place to stay. If we had known what it was like, we would have stayed longer but we had already pre-planned our trip. The rooms were modern and very, very clean, the breakfast was fantastic, and the hostess was so freindly and super helpful about any questions we had about what to see and/or do! Plus, it was withing walking distance to downtown and many amenities. We would highly recommend this place to others!"

Top quality building materials make this B & B like home

"My husband and I stayed in 5 B & Bs while in Ireland. Larkinley Lodge tied for first place in our ranking. A very gracious host met us at the front door and treated us like family the entire time of our stay. A very fresh and clean home with building materials that simply amazed my husband. The value of our stay was a bargain based on what materials went into their accomodations. Spotlessly clean and quiet stay. We were offered a change from our traditional Irish Breakfast and we accepted. Their pancakes were the best."

Great place to stay

"Of the three B&Bs that we stayed at during our England and Ireland trip, it was the best and an outstanding place that we would recommend highly. The place and our room was recently renovated and done in a contemporary style and level that would rival four star hotels. Our room was spacious, with plenty of space to spread out, and places to store our luggage and clothes, and the bed was outstanding. The bathroom had a large shower that was excellent and it did not the usual weak water pressure and flooding situation typical of showers in Europe. Our host Toni was friendly and very helpful with touring advice and eating recommendations. She respected our privacy but she was also eager to engage in conversation, one of the reasons why one might stay at a B&B rather than a hotel. The B&B has a great location, a very easy and short 10 minute walk to city centre and pubs (e.g., Murphy's Bar; with great live music), restaurants and shopping (souvenirs from Ireland, wollen and linen goods). Breakfast was excellent, with several options, including the traditional Irish breakfast. Although it is situated on a busy street, our room was very quiet and we had the best night’s rest of our trip at Larkiney Lodge. Car parking was very convenient and was situated right in front of the B&B. The only negative was the lack of any view from our room, but otherwise, it is situated in a pretty section of Killarney."

"Driving into Killarney, We stop at a few B&B we had look at the rooms and though to myself ok, but not great, (do i really want to spent that much money on this standard) on we when nearly in Killarney Centre we where thinking of staying in hotel, but my wife spotted a modern B&B on the right hand side, We were met by a very welcoming host called Toni, who give us a tour of her brand new B&B which has been done to a very high standard, we move to see the bedroom and to say this room is five star is a understatemen. Big Flat screen TV`S, hugh showers, and a great bed, which i found it hard to get of in the morning, just top class... We had full Irish breakfast that following morning, we intended to stay in Kenmare the following night, but decided to play it safe and stay on in Larkinley Lodge and do a day trip to Kenmare the followinf day and drive back from Kenmare that evening... Killarney is a great town, if your eating out we found a great restaurant called the Bricin and has a great craftshop also. We would love to come back in a few years.... Once again if your looking for a good standard b&b in Killarney i would recommend this everytime...."

"Larkinley Lodge was a spectacular find; we were driving aimlessly and stuck our heads in to check the place out. What we found was a Bed and Breakfast, newly remodeled (the old building had been knocked to the ground and then rebuilt) and beautiful. The rooms were spacious, with new beds and linens. The rooms were equipped with mounted flat screen TVs, the bathrooms had skylights and fresh cut flowers met us at the B & B entrance. Our hostess, Toni, was welcoming and inviting and made us a delicious breakfast. We could not have asked for anything more and we had a wonderful stay!"
