10 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
"The Killarney Lodge was the start of our trip to Irleand and probably the favorite B&B of the whole trip. The room was nice, pleasant and quiet. The location is good, my one complaint would be that it is someone difficult to find, the web-site should have better directions or a better map. The breakfast was amazing (cooked to order with lots of fresh baked items, etc.). The hospitality was excellent as well. I would love to stay here again. If you are a picky traveler, stay here!!!"

Great place in Killarney town
"Spent three great nights in Killarney at Killarney Lodge. One block from main street, easy walk to everything, including live entertainment in several pubs and restaurants. Rooms spotless, air conditioned which was a big help. Reasonable rates and internet access in lounge, fantastic staff. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in killarney."

A+ lodging in Killarney
"Killarney Lodge, located near the town centre of Killarney, was recommended to us by friends. It was by far the best accomodation we had in our eight days in Ireland, and we would strongly recommend it to others. This smoke free guesthouse provides amenties found more often in large hotels: internet access, televisions with multiple international channels, hairdryers, a tub and shower, large bathroom, A/C, and breakfast menus. Our host booked a tour for us to the Ring of Kerry, and our coach driver was so humorous and informative, we were almost tempted to stay another day and take another tour. With a private walled garden, a car park on premises, phones in the room, and a few minutes' walk to restuarants and shops, we were sorry to leave."

Loved it like everyone else.
"My wife and I stayed at the Killarney Lodge (9/12/04-9/16/04). The facilities were first rate and the location is really just 2 minutes from town, yet off the main road. We had a very large room (for Ireland) and just a single minor complaint. For 120 EUR per night I think a few more satellite TV channels could have been provided and the TV should have been large enough to see from the bed (sometimes after a full day of sightseeing and an early supper we find it nice to spend the evening in our room - otherwise a 60 EUR per night BandB would do). Still, I would not subtract any stars from this wonderful property. And someone tell me, how Catherine can be so gracious and hospitible to everyone? It seemed like every time we walked in or out the door she was there to greet us. I look forward to our next stay."

Killearny Lodge couldn't be better!
"Our stay at Killearny Lodge was perfect! It's lovely, bright and airy with fresh flowers downstairs and impeccably clean rooms. Katherine, the proprietor, part of the seasoned Killearny Hotel family, designed and built Killearny Lodge in 1997 to be just what it is: a well-situated (quiet, a block from town and a block from the Killearny National Park), perfectly designed and extremely professionally run, guest-house. The breakfast room with its wall of windows and cheery atmosphere, good choices and carefully prepared food is a great start to the day. Walk thru the park, to Ross Castle, or thru the town--it's convenient yet has an "out-of the way" feel. I don't think it's possible not to enjoy staying there...plus Katherine was more knowledgeable than our travel agent and adept at booking tee times at great golf courses!!!"

Got to love that Killarney!!!
"Returned two weeks ago from a trip to Western Ireland. Cannot say enough about the people, the countryside and the excellent weather we had.Stayed four nights in Killarney and three in Oranmore just outside of Galway. Our Killarney lodgings were THE BEST. Killarney Lodge is a 16-17 unit lodge located at the corner of Dutchess Road and one of the main arteries going in/out of Killarney, adjacent to luxury hotels - an excellent location for Killarney if you want to shop by foot or walk home from that evening of traditional music with a few drinks under your belt. The accommodations were excellent - clean, amply sized rooms, wonderful FULL breakfast and the personal assistance of host (hostess, depending on your level of PC) Catherine and her assistant, Breda. Rate at the time of our visit was 50 Euro per person per night - about $60 US. From this location we toured Dingle Peninsula, Beara Peninsula, and more. Available for further information if you wish, but I give this place a definite 5 star for comfort and all around quality."

We adore Killarney Lodge
"Wonderful place with ambience of a fine country house. Rooms large and well furnished. Fantastic staff and management who specialise in making you feel welcome. Breakfast is huge and always freshly cooked to order. Great range of food available. You get a true Irish welcome and genuine courtesy. 2 mins walk from town centre so very convenient. Has to be amongst the best B&Bs in the town--if not the country! I go back time and time again. Lovely purpose-built house and peaceful gardens. I love this place a lot---try it and see for yourself!"
